Pediatrix is claiming I owe them money for the services. I told our hospital no surprises bills and in-network providers only. I was invoiced for "Attendance at delivery" bills, ************************* Bills, Hospital Discharge Day fees, and Hearing screening, Auditor. Which was suppose to be in-network with my insurances. The bill was over 2k at first, then they had it adjusted at $1003.43. I don't have the ability to pay for these surprised medical bills on top of what the hospital billed us.

I am filing a complaint against Pediatric Medical Group **** and their associated debt collection agency, I.C. *********** I received a collection notice dated March 25, 2025, stating that I owe a balance of $467.92. However, I believe this debt may be a duplicate charge.I contacted Pediatric Medical Group **** on March 31, 2025, at 4:36 PM via their customer service line ***************) to verify the details of this balance. I requested a breakdown of my previous payments, including dates and amounts, to ensure that I had not already paid this amount. The customer service representative was unable to provide this information, making it impossible for me to confirm whether this collection notice is legitimate or a duplicate charge.I have made multiple payments to Pediatric Medical Group **** following my delivery and need clear documentation of my payment history to verify this claim. The lack of transparency in their billing process and their inability to provide basic payment records is concerning.I request that Pediatric Medical Group **** and I.C. *********** provide:1.A full itemized statement detailing the services billed and the dates of service.2.A record of all payments I have made to Pediatric Medical Group ****, including the amount and date of each payment.3.Proof that this debt is valid and not a duplicate charge.Until they provide this information, I dispute the validity of this collection and request that all collection activities be paused. Additionally, I request that this issue be resolved promptly to prevent any negative impact on my credit report.

To summarize: insurance has paid out 150k to date for our daughters birth without problems until PEDIATRIX and I KNOW it's on their end due to their inability, lies, bad practices and lack of professionalism. 1. Before getting any **** notices we received an "urgent" text message advising we had to pay our **** that was overdue... in full. With no explanation of where it was from.Upon getting this text we found the "patient portal" added our insurance details AND sent a separate email to their customer service email address who informed us they would forward as appropriate.#2- we got a **** in the mail stating our payment was "past due" on the VERY FIRST notice we ever received. It also showed insurance as "not on file"#3 on 1/27/2025 at 12:08pm EST we called to settle the ****. They not only were unable to pull up any account information using the ref. number THEY provided but also came back on the line to say they tried to **** our insurance but it was rejected....mind you, our **** said "no insurance on file" and they didn't have any of our insurance info regarding who they attempted to **** when asked. We reprivided all details ans they said they would be putting the account on hold to re-**** insurance and we would be hearing back in up to 90 days. #5 The next **** we received had the WRONG insurance information on the account summary and still said we owe them the full balance of the ****. It also said this was our "final notice " before it got sent to collections in less than 30 days.#6 after receiving this **** we called them on 2 separate occasions only to be on hold for an extended period and hang up.We finally get someone on the phone March 27th (the second time we have ever been able to speak to anyone) and they ask for ALL of our information again, including verification that our daughter is covered. After this was provided AGAIN they are now saying it's still rejected and they need more

She informed me that no one with the company sent a claim through to our insurance company which I already knew due to no *** showing through the insurance company. She let me know that she added all of her notes and sent it over to actually get the claim sent to the insurance company for payment. ****** also let me know she put a hold on the account due to employees stating the account would go into collect which is not something I have had any control over. This company has done nothing to actually get this bill paid which is extremely frustrating as well as unprofessional on their end. *Date of Service:* January 2025 *Service Provided:* Newborn Hearing Screening *Complaint Details:*I am writing to express my concern and dispute a balance notice I received from Pediatrix Medical Group. In January 2025, my newborn received a hearing screening at the hospital, and I recently (March 2025) received a notice stating an outstanding balance of $250. However, the notice lacked any detailed information about the service rendered. The primary issue with this bill is that I was not informed about the potential out-of-network charges prior to the service being performed. As of January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act requires out-of-network providers to disclose costs to patients before services are rendered. Since I was not provided with this information, I believe that Pediatrix has violated this law.Given this situation, I do not believe I should be responsible for paying this bill. I request that Pediatrix take immediate action to:1. *Void the outstanding balance* due to their failure to comply with the No Surprises Act.2. *Provide detailed documentation* of the services rendered, including any attempts to inform me about potential out-of-network charges.I hope that this matter can be resolved promptly and fairly. Thank you for your attention to this complaint.

My baby was born ************* and a few days ago, ********, I received a text about a bill from Pediatrix medical group for over $600 for service dates that my baby was in the ***** I thought it was a scam but opened the bill and saw the correct days of service. I called them and they said my insurance just processed the claim this week and that is why it took so long to get the bill. They said my insurance already paid over $3000 but that I owed $686. I then called my insurance (Aetna) who had no idea what that charge would be for. Aetna did a three way call with the Pediatrix medical group and the first time we lost connection. Tried again and second time when ***** asked for a claim number we lost them again. I think this is a scam phone number, scam company. I am very frustrated with receiving a bill over a year after the fact and do not want this to go to collections if it is legitimate.

Dr. ********* with Pediatrix Medical Group (PMG), was one of many doctors that treated our son in the *** of ********************************** on March 1, 2023. We were not aware that we owed PMG any money until we were contacted by ********** (a debt collector) on July 12, 2024. Due to a number of mistakes made by *** we were able to successfully dispute (filed July 19, 2024) the claim and *** recalled the debt (Aug 15, 2024). Pediatrix Medical Group has since resold our balance to a new debt collector (***************), unnecessarily subjecting us to a new dispute process for the same issue that should have been resolved August of last year.On a number of occasions I have called Pediatrix Medical Group asking to speak with a medical director or claims administrator - each time I have been rebuffed and assured that there was no one I could speak to. While my dispute with ********** was being reviewed by *** I called to ask to speak to the review team - again, I was rebuffed and told they could not get me in contact with anyone on the team. I was told my only option was to send an email to a generic customer service inbox which they (by **************** Supervisor *****) admitted to me on July 15, 2024 was not likely to be monitored in a way to actually get the result I was looking for. I sent the email anyway and never heard from them.Attached are our successful dispute through ********** (this will detail the many mistakes made by *** that justify our determination to not pay this claim), the email for the new dispute with *************** (for the same medical claim) and our email to Pediatrix Medical Group in an attempt to contact someone with the authority to resolve this issue.

I received a letter from Pediatrix Medical Group telling me to confirm my daughter's insurance information so they can bill the insurance correctly. I used the online form but didn't get any confirmation that the information was received. I tried to call the number on the letter but couldn't reach anyone and the automated voice eventually hang up. I also tried the callback option during the wait but never got a call back and I've been calling almost daily since last week. I called a different number on their website and the representative said the letter is from "Central Billing" which is a different department. She offered to call the number for me to see if she could reach anyone but no one picked up as well. I asked if there's an email or other ways for me to contact "Central Billing" but she said calling the phone number is the only way. The way Central Billing handles communications is unacceptable.

The newborn hearing screening performed at **************** in ********* is predatory. I have received fraudulent appearing bills that are in fact real. The group does not bill insurance, they do not ask for it at the hospital and therefore do not inform patients if their services will be in network prior to providing their services. We did not realize this was a third party in the hospital, they just came in, did the test, then left. I received a letter in the mail, Im assuming its for the hearing test, with an amount owed for my newborn. The letter informs us we have 30 days to file the claim to insurance, they give a phone number to a line that they do not answer, and the letter is missing critical information such has the service provided (we are guessing its the hearing screening from googling the group) and the date of service. Both important pieces of information needed to file a claim. I did my best to research the company online, this is where I found out it was not fraudulent but by leaving out critical information, it leaves the consumer to believe the letter is spam. Others with the letter discarded it as such and tell tales of the company then reporting them to debt collection. Ive attempted to contact the business with no success. I did contact my insurance and they did not bill them and my insurance also tried contacting them with no success. Trying to be proactive, but also dont want other new parents at **************** to fall victim to this group. Attached is the letter.

We have received the guarantors inquiry filed via the Better Business Bureaus online portal. On December 13, 2024, we were able to call the guarantor using the number on the inquiry. The account will be monitored until insurance processes the claim and we will keep the guarantor updated on progress.

      Complaint: 22632790

I am rejecting this response because:

I do not yet have proof that the insurance claim was filed. My insurance company say on hold for hours trying to get this issue resolved only to be given a voicemail. My insurance was going to call me when they returned the voicemail left over a week ago. Id like to keep this claim open until the issue is fully resolved.

Id also like see action that the business be reachable by the phone number provided by them on the letter and key details such as service provided and date of service to be provided on all future communications of this same nature to safeguard other new parents in my same situation who might disregard their fraudulent appearing letter.

      Sincerely,

      ******* ******
