      I have hired a new dentist. My immediate dentures have caused an infection in my mouth due to negligence, and extreme poor quality. They will not give me my refund back on my permanent dentures. They charged me and my insurance for the immediate dentures. The whole thing is a scam. I was also insulted about my wrinkles from the dentist. I've been mistreated. I'm a mother & grandmother, and I'm a Christian. I never deserved the way I've been mistreated. I'm not getting permanent dentures there. If there's anymore claims put in to my insurance, I will be filing a lawsuit. I'm filing a complaint against Coast Dental with my insurance in a minute. They have an F on Better Business Bureau for suspicious activity

      (I changed dental offices due to medicare. Now I only have two choices and they are both "Dentist in a box".) I would give zero stars if possible. I reviewed them after my initial appt and gave them 4 stars. What a mistake. I saw the dentist (?) on ZOOM, after exam was done. During my initial visit, my teeth scores were 4's, 5's, and 6's. My previous dentist never scored me above a 4 and that was only two teeth, the rest were 2's and sometimes 3. When speaking with the lady on screen, (Dentist?), she said a bunch of stuff, but never said "periodontal care." Oh, she used the words periodontal but I'm on medicare. So I am allowed two cleanings a year, paid in full by medicare on my plan. I walk in today to get my cleaning done....the dentist (?) who is not in the office, only on zoom was NOT available to discuss with me why she put me on Periodontal services every three months.....which Medicare won't pay for and will cost out of pocket $352 and some change. What a scam! Suddenly I'm now with gum disease???? When, pray tell, did this happen????? So, I walked out. What a waste of time. I'm going back to my "real" dentist, I actually get to talk with him in person. No, he doesn't take medicare, but he also doesn't charge me an arm and a leg. AND I get to talk to him, see him and discuss my care in person. I'll pay him out of pocket before allowing Coast Dental scam me via ZOOM!

      Their customer service and manners are beyond lacking. I took my child (7 years old) in for a cleaning and after signing in (to a paper sign in and NO employees speaking to us for about 20 minutes) they informed me that I was not allowed in the X-ray room due to HIPPA issues. After pushing since I am exempt from HIPPA as my child is a MINOR, the manager came out and had slightly better customer service. But informed me due to other patients HIPPA issues (as there are no doors on any exam room and I could hear everything in the office) I was not allowed to stand in the hallway. They took X-rays and then when I was allowed back in the room with my son, we saw a dentist through Zoom! There was no actual doctor in the building!!! Scheduled a follow up for a cleaning and again was told I could not go back with my 7 year old! I’ve been to other Coast locations in Brevard and Indian River County Florida before and have NEVER been told I couldn’t go back with a minor. In fact I’ve been back with my other minor child with 3 others before. How is there a HIPPA issue with me standing next to my child but the adult in the next room having a procedure is fine? Absolutely horrific customer service, employees, policies and I will never be going anywhere near this business again. Keep your children away! Don’t trust a single person there!

      Review shortened due to character minimum- I went here to get a broken tooth removed and after 2 visits that amounted to nothing I finally had an appointment to get the tooth removed and when I walked in the lady said, what are you here for I said Im here to get my tooth removed arent I? Mind you Im already aggravated at this point because I had several failed attempts at the previous location that I was visiting at grand *********. Its not only this location coast dental is horrible as a whole so when I told her I was there to get my tooth out she told me they couldnt do it because they didnt have the authorization yet. I asked her why didnt she called to get the authorization if they knew I had an appointment today for an extraction and or why didnt they call me to tell me not to waste my time? The office manager told me if I would like to sit there and call my insurance and get the authorization which is her job not mine then they would remove the tooth. I sat back in the room for 40 minutes on the phone with my insurance to get the authorization and as soon as I received it, they told me sorry the dentist is busy with other people now you will have to come back another day and scheduled me to come back at the end of the month. Obviously, I was furious at that time. I was on my second round of antibiotics and I havent been able to chew on the right side of my mouth in five months. I asked them for the names of the people that I was treated poorly by and theyre exact words were I dont have to give you anything. I received a text message saying I had an appointment coming up that I assumed they canceled and out of desperation now being on my third bottle of antibiotics I decided to go. After waiting an hour they called me back and a lady walked in and told me because I wrote a review on ****** they refused to take my tooth out unless I remove it. I will be contacting a lawyer Im pretty sure thats malpractice and or illegal.

      They ruined my teeth! Over $30,000 in procedures and I am left with no ability to chew, smile, or speak properly. I was talked into an unnecessary procedure that was done by a totally inept person disguised as a dentist. They actually tried to remedy the situation with a year and a half of travel 80 miles each way and over $20,000 worth of additional work done that has completely failed and left me in pain and embarrassed. One of the worst mistakes of my life was to ever enter the doors of Coast Dental.

      My husband had to get a partial implant on his buttom front teeth. Our insurance paid their portion and we put the remainder of the balance on a credit company they work with called ************ They put in the temporary implants and he had to wait a month for the permanent implants to come in. When it was time for his appointment to get his permanent implants they cancelled his appointment, and was given another appointment. That was also going to be canceled. I spoke to the office and I informed them that my husband is a Diabetic and he needed the temporary implants to be checked because he had a discomfort in the gum area. We went to the office and they had to do some work and he was told that the permanent implants had not arrived yet. Two weeks went by and we never heard them. I called another office and I was told that a Mr **************** was going to get a new dentist and send him my husbands file so he can finish my husbands work. I reminded him that my husband is a Diabetic and he needs this work finished. Its been 10 days and I have not heard from anyone and I cannot cannot get in touch with them.

      Horrible bed side manners and customer service! Appointment was rushed and I was overcharged! They charged me $329 despite of me having dental insurance! They kept pushing for procedures that I didnt ask for and my insurance didnt cover! Dental hygienist was aggressively proving my need for extensive care! She was ******* the dental assistant while taking my dental x-rays and took the bite block with her bare hands and repositioned it in my mouse, all of this while she was touching the computers screen! The worst part was when she dropped the saliva ejector on the floor during my dental cleaning, picked up and without cleaning it, put it back into my mouth! I was in shock! I couldnt believe the lack of professionalism and hygiene at this office and their prices are just insane! Im not going back there ever! Its a rip off! This practices bedside manners are very concerning and disappointing!

      The receptionist at 23680 US Hwy North, Clearwater location is not professional. Due to the poor customer service I ended up canceling my initial visit and I will never go there. She was rude, non empathetic and “ short” with answers to my questions. Avoid her, I’m sure I’m not the first to experience this bad service.

      Money chasers ! Keep your receipts and original price quotes ! They WILL try and increase your price ! Will definitely NOT recommend their services !
