      If I could give wellcare zero stars I would. I have tried obtaining authorization for a patients lupron for continuation of care. They gave us less that 12 hours to respond before they denied our request. The paperwork stated a doctor had tried calling our office to do a peer to peer which was a lie. They stated they would deny coverage if they did not hear from us by 10/6/2022. I called on 10/5/2022 to be told they already denied this. They obviously dont know dates either. Not to mention none of the numbers on my denial letter even worked. We had our provider call and he was transferred to 4 different people then to be told they did not have this patient in their system

      WellCare is very unprofessional does not care about the customer they say one thing and do another. Well care as long as you pay the monthly premium they got you I would advise not to use this company at all.

      Member has been educated on benefits and doughnut hole stage. Medication cost was processed corretly according to plan's benefits..

      Prescription coverage through this company is awful. **************** is ridiculous. I am a new customer with stand alone drug coverage and had questions. **************** representatives assured me that they understood my concern but could not help me. My call was transferred twice before getting disconnected. No answers to my questions. I will be changing my prescription coverage as soon as possible and will advise everyone I know to avoid ******************* and WellCare prescription plan. Paying the premiums is a waste of your money.

      I am a health insurance broker and have been calling the broker help line since 9/28/22, opened ticket #****** and when I did not hear back from anyone, I opened another ticket #******. I have since called and am actually on the line now and after 33 minutes of holding during my fifth phone call, no one can help me access my PingOne account in order to ensure that my contract is complete for AEP. Wellcare's Pingone password reset functionality is not working and I am unable to access my contracting page. This is how my family makes a living and it makes me sad that I am not getting support from a company that I try my best to represent well to all of my clients.I hate having to leave a review like this for a company that I consider a partnership, but I do not know what else to do after calling five times to no avail. I am willing to remove this review if I hear back from WellCare and they can resolve my issue within 24 hours. My ticket number should provide my contact information.

      I wish I could rate them worse. My mother was contacted by a broker who said he was from Medicare and enrolled her in wellcare when she was already covered through her employer retirement. I have tried multiple times to cancel as it was a mistake. In may they had to me that it was canceled and everything was fine, they then stated that my mother had called in to cancel the cancel. My mother has dementia and does not have the ability to call them as she doesn't have that ability. And they don't allow to just cancel they make you wait till. Timothy js the worst manager in customer services as he just repeated that he cannot do anything. Shady company and shady employees. Everything I call I get left on hold and hung up on.

      If I could leave a 0 star review, I would. I have had nothing but problems since I joined Wellcare in May of this year. I was enrolled by an agent that told me I could see any doctor/specialist I wanted, including my current doctors, in and out of network, as long as they are willing to take Wellcare because I was eligible for the Duals Open PPO plan. I am severely mentally disabled and am pretty much homebound unless I HAVE to leave the house, and Telehealth appointments with my therapist and psychiatrist are essential and medically necessary. I started receiving denials, and when I called to ask, originally the agents told me the denials were because my provider billed them wrong. I didnt find out until mid-June that telehealth is NOT covered by the duals plan, despite what I was told by the enrollment agent. I kept getting different answers from agents who seemed confused, I was held on the phone for hours by a woman who was beyond rude and didnt care about my situation. I had to fight with Wellcare for months, as some agents told me I could have an exception with a prior authorization due to the fact that telehealth is medically necessary for me, even though that ended up not being true. I couldnt find a therapist in network that I hadnt already been to, or was willing to take ******** as my secondary insurance, so that left me with not only a marketing misrepresentation issue but also an access to care issue. I filed a grievance and was sent back a letter with a statement that says I have a 20% copay with all specialists, that had nothing to do with what I filed the grievance about so I decided to unenroll from Wellcare effective October 1st. They dont know what theyre doing. Im incredibly dissatisfied. The company seemed too good to be true, thats because it is.

      Telehealth out of network was not covered, and my therapist was out of network, which was the issue. I was told I could see anyone in or out of network no problem.

      wellcare convinced my elderly dad that it was the best insurance and promised the stars during enrollment. I had multiple issues with the insurance since then - parents were sent to the wrong PCP who was not covered. when called, they stated that the clinic is covered under wellcare NC plan and not SC plan (the clinic is physically located in SC). - the plan said that it would cover non medical transportation and I confirmed it too. When it was time to book a ride, the transportation vendor said that only medical transportation is covered. I was on phone call for 2.5 hours with wellcare with varying responses and at the end, the person who said that she was the higher up there, suggested that I should drive my parents instead of looking for help with transportation. actually, I do take them for all their doctor appointments. - None of the specialists or PT referred by the PCP are covered under wellcare. It is a pain to find someone covered by them. - The nearest retail pharmacy that is covered by wellcare is 45 minutes to 1 hour distance. - There is no trail of calls for customer service representative. You can call for the same thing and end up having to restart the conversation each time, even if the calls are made few minutes apart. I would advise this insurance for anyone, especially senior citizens.

      Do not use Wellcare !!!!! For some reason I have been getting information in braille and I am not blind and I have filed several grievances and keep talking to people on the phone and nothing works!!!!! Global headquarters does not answer their phone and doesnt accept my email. Do NOT use this company of you need a drug plan !!!!

      Worst plan ever! You never speak with someone who speaks clear English or understands what you are saying. They read from a script and cannot understand when you try to explain over and over again. I asked to disenroll and they refused to do that. Never go with this company, no matter what they tell you with price or anything, they are the worst company I have ever dealt with! I want to give them 0 or minus stars, but it is not an option.

      They called my elderly mom and signed her up without her approval even after telling them repeatedly that she was happy with ***** and did not want to change. Keep getting mail which she thought was junk mail and didn't open only to find later when they sent 2 payment books that she was enrolled. She spent all day on the phone and no one would help her to the point she was in tears and so badly shaken up. I spent 1 1/2 hrs on the phone that even and still got the run around. I told them they have 36 hours to cancel her policy she DID NOT sign up for or the next cal is to my lawyer and advocate for the elderly. This is elderly abuse at its finest.
