1 starMy mother has been a member since July 2022. As her oldest daughter, I handle everything for my mom. I also work in insurance. My mother (the member) has given verbal consent for WellCare to speak with me on MULTIPLE times. However, each time we call, we are told that my name is not on her account to speak to me concerning her health care needs. So, we downloaded the form from the website, faxed it to WellCare twice, next time we called. Same thing. We then requested paperwork be mailed to use to fill out and send back. On FOUR occasions we mailed back the paperwork in the self enclosed envelope and still, they claim they have never received it! We then filed a grievance. The next time we called, same thing! They have no record of any documentation sent via fax nor by mail! At this point, I am going to switch health carriers for my mom. I make all of her dr appts, drive her to appts, and handle all of her meds. I am NOT going to continue to deal with this harassment each time we call about something. This company is awful. I signed up through my insurance rep for Wellcare Part D drug coverage.I have sent 2 different EFT forms to them, one by mail and one on-line. They keep trying to send the EFT thru as a checking account. I clearly have marked saving account. Do not attempt to contact them on the phone, you end up with someone overseas. There is clearly a language barrier issue. I did get someone in US when I asked to be transferred, they were no help either. It will only take someone to go into my profile and mark the correct box for billing, clearly this company has not the resources nor do they care. I will look into filling a complaint with Medicare on this company. I will also look for a different Part D provider. I also have a PO Box for mailing and now they are sending mailings to my home.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

The members set up EFT on 9/15/2022 using ******************************* with account ending in ****, this EFT was canceled. * The account shows that the member went online through the member portal and set up another EFT that has a start date of 11/1/2022 using the same bank, however with this one it does have an (S) in front if the account ending in ****. * This means that the premium will be deducted from the members Savings account. * EFT will not draft until December between the 15th and 20th and every month going forward. * The member made a payment of $38.70 on 10/18/2022 to cover her monthly premiums for September, October, and November. Wellcare doesn't listen. When you try to update them with changes they tell you they can't pull up the account. They argue with you and act like they don't know the answers to questions you ask. We have had nothing but issues even canceling enrollmentWellCare Health Plans, Inc.

Per research the member was inserted into Outside of Service Area (OOSA) tracking table with an O start of 06/24/2022. The member attests to moving out of the Plans coverage area 5 months ago. Mailing address is ****************************************. 1 starI have what seems to be tendonitis in my arm and now an issue in that shoulder. My doctor requested an MRI. Wellcare would not authorize the MRI from my Doctor because he is a general practitioner. But they took about 10 days to not authorize. And that was with me bugging them. They should have done that on day one. But their people are not trained. So my doctor sent to the Ortho. They requested an MRI and I was scheduled a week out. Went to my appointment, It was cancelled because Wellcare did not authorize yet. So, here we go again, Wellcare does not work quickly to authorize procedures, and Doctor's offices don't work well with them. So if you want to be sitting around in pain waiting for Wellcare to serve you, plan on it taking about a month because of all the screwups. It's been over a month for me.Review fromPhilip L

Run as far away from this company as possible. They rip you off on pricing,never deliver on time, no customer service at all. You call about a problem they hang up on you. Prices are never the same you can buy thru single care cheaper. The worse company in the world. STAY AWAY.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

************* Escalations- I was able to contact Kroger Pharmacy at *************) spoke with *****, she stated that the Albuterol is in reverse status due to awaiting pick up for member with a copayment of $39.72. Medication is paying without any issues at the pharmacy.
Envolve Client Advocate- After reviewing the members account:
1.I was unable to locate any prescriptions received from ************ for the month of October or November. Provider will need to submit the prescription to mail order for processing.
2.Member called in on 11/04/2022 @ 4:47 pm with a pharmacy question and was transferred to clinical.
Review of CVS COS Claim Details reflects Rosuvastatin Calcium tablet, coated and Pa Anoro Ellipta 62... tablet dispensed by Kroger Pharmacy was paid 11/15/2022

Worst customer service! On the line now for over an hour and they keep saying the same thing over and over. Last week on the line with them for 90 minutes! So incompetent! They need to work with the help team to give them better information. Polite but still cannot solve why my coverage stopped when I applied for a higher plan with better coverage. I paid the premium, which they acknowledge, but still say the new plan won't start till paying even though I am still paying for the old plan.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

The only thing good about Wellcare No Premium PPO is the Flex card they provide. It comes with $1500.00 balance that you can use for dental and vision. You need this because no one accepts their insurance. I live just outside Chicago and was unable to find a dentist or eye doctor in their preferred network. They do not cover hospital stays over 90 days. I use CVS pharmacy and had no problems with prescriptions. So, that's why I gave them two stars. Their customer service is ridiculous. You wait on hold a very long time and then you can't understand what they are saying.I would not want to find out what happens if you actually have to file a medical claim. I'm on Medicare and the year is up. I'm definitely going back to Humana. You can't do worse than Wellcare.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

Well Care had CVS Caremark contact my physicians to get new scripts from them without my permission. Started receiving phone calls from CVS Caremark stating they had a script they need to send me in August 2022. Another physician contacted me to see if I changed pharmacy because they received a request from CVS Caremark. As of 10/25/2022, I am still getting notice of a script waiting for me even though I am on the no call list and the script is suppose to be cancelled. Every time I call they tell me I contact them I get told it will take 10 business day to remove and put me on the do not call list. This was suppose to be done in August. The customer service at Well Care to get something solve is terrible. I would not recommend them to anyone.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

My response: As per CVS Caremark statement that my provider submitted the script is false. I have not seen that provider since I have been on Medicare. I last saw the provider in March 2022. When I signed up for Wellcare as a supplement to my Medicare effective May 1st. (signed up around April 22nd). They were told when I enrolled that I used a local pharmacy and did not want mail order. Caremark contacted the provider in question and requested a 90 day script for the medicine. The provider did as requested by Caremark and sent it in. Another provider called me asking questions because they had received a request from Caremark for a 90 script for one of my medicines. The provider called me and asked about it because of the cost of the med per 30 day supply and that I use a pharmacy locally. I have also just seen this provider at the end of May and they were told that I use the same local pharmacy as I have been using. The provider received the request on August 25th. That is how I found out that Caremark was requesting scripts from my provider. I was supposed to be put on the DO NOT CALL list in August and the script was supposed to be voided per Caremark and Wellcare. In October, I started to receive phone calls and letters from Caremark stating they had a script ready for me. Everytime I call Wellcare about this issue, they get CVS Caremark on the phone. Caremark states that they will put me on the DO NOT CALL list and that they will void the script. I can not get a straight answer out of the why I am not on the DO NOT CALL list from August when it was supposed to happen originally, only that it will take 10 business days for it to take effect. In August, I have since called all of my providers and told them I do not use a mail order or Caremark, that I use the same local pharmacy as I have been using and if they get any request otherwise to notify me. So as you can see, I have been dealing with this since August. I do not know why Caremark just can not admit that they contacted my providers and state that they were wrong in doing so.

1 starAll I can say if you are looking - move on to someone else. The worst customer service possible. They sent me 20 dentists on my plan. I called them all and NONE if them worked with Wellcare or their dental provider they contracted with. I spent over 100 hours dealing with Wellcare customer service on the phone. No one knows anything so they promise to have a supervisor call me, but no one does. I can't wait to cancel this awful company.Review fromCurtis M

They appear to cover diabetic drugs for some people but for others. My neighbor and I both use wellcare and even the same plan. But each of our plans don't cover the same drugs. Also they want me to pay ****+ for my victory which they have never done. Their donut hole is more like black hole.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.
