      WellCare sent us a bill for $2766.93 for a mistake they made. They said "although you paid the right amount based on the way the claim was originally processed , we have discovered that the actual amount owned is greater that the amount you paid . We apologize for any inconvenience." The amount was suppose to be free. I have wasted hours on the phone trying to get this resolved. Today when I said if you can't help me send me to someone that can they hung up on me. First two calls were in the Philippines. I asked for a manger in the US. They are the ones that hung up on me. This was their mistake. We are not paying that bill. The worse company ever. It has been horrible trying to deal with them for anything.

      I place a successful call to to member on 10.24.2024 and spoke with the complainant's wife. I was able to resolve all the complainant's issues in regards to the bill received. The complainant understood and was satisfied with the outcome.

      ***** this company for ******** drug prescription program. As I only havee one routine prescription for prescriptions, insurance agent recommended as it was least exxpensive program. Believe me when I say I would rather pay more for an efficient company, ************ has unconsicationably poor customer service. My experience has been less than satisfactory: (1) unable to update ACH payment method on website; extremely inefficient staff - called to update payment method due to an identity theft issue in mid-September has yet to be updated, supervisor I spoke with to make complaint argued that their was outstanding payments for January and February that I indicated to her that clearly had been processed per transaction history on their website, unable to leave message for representative who has been following up on ******** complaint, do not respond to e-mail, and last barely able to hear representatives on phone and I have excellent hearing.

      Terrible customer service. The representatives dont even know the medications or coverages and keep you on hold for a long long time. I hate having to call them.

      I transitioned to Medicare on 9/1 after retiring. I did a lot of research beforehand and selected WellCare PDP for Part D. On 9/27 I attempted to refill 2 scripts - Simvastatin & Carvedilol. The pharmacist told me he was getting an error that he had never seen before and advised me to call WellCare. I called WellCare on 10/1, they told me coverage for the scripts was denied because the MD who ordered them did not participate w/ Medicare/WellCare. I asked why this was a problem since I was not asking for any of the MDs services to be covered, but simply for my meds to be covered & they advised me it was simply their rule. I told them I understood, and would be happy to get a new primary care MD who is affiliated with Medicare/WellCare moving forward to prescribe my medications, but that I only had three days worth of my medications left and would not be able to find and schedule an appointment with a new MD in that time. WellCare offered no solution other than for me to pay out of pocket which I cannot afford. When I asked if they could allow a 1x override and grant me a partial supply to allow me time to get a new MD, Katarina said “What's the point, the medication will still be denied after that”. I was shocked by how insensitive she was - I told her “the point” was to maintain my health while I got established with a new MD. Katarina continued to lack understanding. I ultimately asked to speak to someone else, Katarina said they would “just tell you the same thing”, to which I told her I wanted to speak to someone about my experience and her crass attitude. Katarina said okay, and then strategically connected me to the “Community Connect” line, which is a third party that helps patients find resources to assist w/ drug costs - Katarina knew this was not what I was looking for and intentionally connected me to a different line so her actions would not be reported. I am disgusted by this experience and will be running out of my meds by the end of the week.

      The worst insurance company. Do not choose these people. A simple phone call sends you into an endless wait time. They refused to pay an office call. A procedure Medicare always covers. It has now been 2 months of ridiculous excuses in submitting the same information over and over again. They are not worth even 1 star.

      While the Medicare bureaucrats make everybody involved in this process suffer, Wellcare makes it even worse. Poor comms, awful website, poory trained customer service reps, and they send docs to their customers that require a bored lawyer to interpret. There must be better!

      On 10/1/2024 at 3:09 PM, we contacted the member via phone to discuss his concerns. While the member declined to verify HIPAA information, he confirmed that he had written the review and explained that his main issue was difficulty accessing his formulary list. However, he has since been shown how to access it through the member portal and no longer has concerns in this area.


      The member also mentioned that the documents he receives are generic in nature and not personalized, though he had no specific letters in mind and clarified that he would prefer to receive only important documents. At this time, the member stated that he does not require further assistance and does not wish for any follow-up.

      WellCare promises you everything and gives you nothing.I have had nothing but problems with anything I have tried to do through WellCare.The people *** work there send you to non providers and their lists have doctors on them *** have never worked with WellCare! DR. *** says I have congestive heart failure but I don't? They refuse a crown even though they promised 5000 in dental, They won't correct the cataracts because they are mild, no cardiologist appt., ************ is a joke!!! STOP offering WELLCARE, they are useless!!

      If I could give a 0 rating I would. My mother died on July 1, after no less than 7 phone calls and sending information to them, jumping thru their endless hoops, I was told today she would be paying for the month of July and there would be no refund. Over 2 months after her death. Their customer service is based overseas and those representatives only know how to read from a card, they do not listen, they ask repeated questions. I would not recommend this company to anyone for any reason EVER!!!
