On May 22, 2024 customer services Representative name ***** provided unacceptable answer to my compalints. They ask me do I need a ride to the doctors. I suggest the firing or retraining or these representatives of Wellcare Health Plan.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

Background: WTC Health Program Membership: As a 9/11 survivor with lumbar spine injuries, I have been a member of the World Trade Center Health Program (WTC # *********) since July 27, 2017, through BronxCare Health System. Missed Medical Care: Due to various circumstances, I have not seen a health doctor since July 2020. It is crucial for my ongoing health and well-being to resume regular medical consultations. Recent Incidents: Disconnection Issues: During my attempts to reach out, I encountered repeated disconnections. In particular, when I mentioned my status as a 9/11 survivor, the calls were frequently hung up, which was distressing. Customer Service Concerns: On May 22, 2024, I spoke with a Customer Service Representative named Romeo. His handling of my call was unsatisfactory and has added to my frustration. Additionally, I hold him responsible for the unfortunate death of my mother on September 11, 2020, due to inadequate support and communication from your service during that critical time. Given these circumstances, I am seeking urgent assistance to schedule an appointment and discuss my healthcare needs. I would also like to understand the steps being taken to address the customer service issues I have experienced. 1 starThey are a ripoff company. They say that they use out sourced company to sell their insurance. They take no responsibly that I was lied too badly. I DO NOT recomend them to no one. They do not cover all expenses as a supplimental insurane like I was told. Instead they applogized but they do nothing!!! They have stuck me with a big life changing bill of co-pays. Again they are not BBB accredited and are nothing but a smoke and mirrors ripoff company takeing advantage of older retired people. The one star is so that I can make this review. WellCare brought me to two different appointments the first time I ever used them on May 3rd (my Dr had to bring me home.. waited over 5 hours in the office) and May 7th (I had to beg somebody a half hour away to come and get me they were not happy).. They say they try and get you a medical cab I found out they are NOT contracted with any medical cabs in my area so they just send Lyft and if you can't get a lift on the way home it's not their problem... that's what they tell youWellCare Health Plans, Inc.

Never sent my prescription drug card for ********* then started to bill me for "late enrolment".Spoke to the customer no service on 4/15. Requested to speak to the persons superior and was transferred to the "Executive Response Team" who said they would escalate the case to the billing **** and get back to me in 24hours. They didn't, I contacted them on day 3 and was told by the same person on the "Executive Response Team" that he would investigate and get back to me in 24hrs. He didn't get back to me. I called again on 4/25 asking for his superior and was told I would have to request that through him and he would call me that day. Well, what do you know he called me back within 2 hours of my complaint telling me he was sending forms to dispute the "Late Enrollment". I will never recommend this company to anyone. To call them useless would be a compliment.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

You did send out the *** form. Funny how you told me you had resent the ** cards but where are they? Today is ******* May 9th and they have not arrived even though you told me that you had sent them more than 10 days ago. Why is that? WellCare was suggested by the Abt Ins. Agency as my Medicare Part D first time selection. I provided the names of my two medications I have been on for the past 8+ years. Prescribed by my same physician that has been my only primary doctor since I moved to Arkansas. WellCare sent me my confirmed program card but the first time I went to get my Rx refilled I was denied because they required pre-authorization which was never mentioned. I asked what that was and what it entailed. I contacted customer service as instructed on my card. After non-consecutive 10 telephone hours over just the first month the foreign WellCare employees without a good grasp of English never provided any awareness they understood my issue. I was passed around for hours. I asked for a copy of any document they were referring to to better communicate. I was sent to several WellCare sites but the websites were just an advertisement. Totally nothing. I should add the customer service manager that I was sent to after a 4 hour session put me on hold for 40 minutes and then when she came back she told me it was her supper break. The WellCare pre-authorization document is NOT on their website but I finally found it on-line. The questions are invasive and not related to the two meds I am on. Anonymous WellCare employees have not provided a reason they need my personal and private health information by asking my doctor HIPPA violation questions. Basically, WellCare must know my menstrual history before paying $10 for my blood pressure medication. I’m retired but I am still a licensed attorney and a licensed registered nurse fully aware of these issues but I think most Medicare seniors cannot do this for themselves need protection from insurance agents talking them in to predatory companies like WellCare. I have decided to just pay for my own prescriptions and not use WellCare even though I still have to pay them until October. FYI I used GoodRx and I paid less than what WellCare would.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

The Prescription Drug Plan, WellCare Value Script, offered by WellCare Health Plans provides conflicting and misleading information on drug costs. Before enrolling in December, 2023, I used the plan's website to estimate what I could expect my Tier 3 prescription costs to be. Because the costs seemed reasonable, I proceeded to enroll. I did not need to refill my Tier 3 drug prescription until April 18. At that time, using the 'Estimate Drug Costs' tool for the Value Script plan, I found the cost had greatly exceeded the estimate I had gotten back in December: However, the cost at the pharmacy exceeded that. I logged in again after picking up the prescription, just 3 hours later, and found that the website now gave another, three-times higher, cost for the drug. I sought help in understanding this at their phone help line and was told that the discrepancy in drug cost issue would be referred to their website department. I have subsequently logged in again to see how the claim was reported and I find two different descriptions of the claim, depending on how I access 'claim history'. One way keeps me within the wellcare.com website and indicated the plan paid $146.21 toward the prescription. The other way takes me to the express-script.com website, which seems linked somehow to WellCare Value Scripts and it indicates the plan paid $128.83 toward the prescription. Neither value is close to the 75% of the total cost that WellCare advertises the plan will pay for this drug.I regard this Part D prescription drug plan as seriously misleading and will extricate myself from it as soon as possible.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

It is true that I was contacted by a person, with a company name in his email address (centene.com) different yet again from either wellcare.com or express-scripts.com, who was identified as an Escalation Specialist, apparently for Wellcare. We have had email exchanges over almost the past month along with a couple of phone calls. During that period, I also was contacted by phone from an Express Scripts representative. It was surprising that the Escalation Specialist could not see the pharmacies available to me under my Wellcare plan and could not come up with the percentage of the medication cost to be paid by the plan. He initially suggested that the price I should be paying was an order of magnitude smaller than what I paid. While that price would be a great deal, there is no documentation available at Wellcare or Express Scripts to back up that reduced price. The Express Scripts representative was able to clear up for me how much I had paid to my annual deductible and what I could expect to pay going forward. In the end, the Escalation Specialist seemed to come around to this position too. However, neither the Wellcare.com site nor the Express-scripts.com site can show me the status of my payments toward the annual deductible or the impact of that upon future costs for the medication and each site shows me a different amount that the plan paid for filling my prescription. 1 starBeware of Wellcare insurance. I pre-qualified my dental codes with them and they said that they would approve the procedures. After the procedure they refused to pay. Others have had the same experience with them. They changed their contract and are known to reneg on dental procedures. Not an honest company. Find a more reputable company. I regret that I enrolled in the WellCare ******** Rx value plus plan. The associate that enrolled me lied that the medications I am currently taking would be less and the prices are more expensive than my past plans medications prices. Should be a zero star rating. Today, I tried to access the web portal - it is loading but never loads. After talking to *****, customer service person, she suggested that I use the web portal. ***** could not tell me if an urgent care provider was in the network from the businesses address and phone number I provided for her. There was no way she could possibly help me before or after placing me on a short - long hold. These calls to customer service are often extremely long, almost never helpful, filled with scripted apologies, and language barriers. In November 13, 2023, I had a root canal under WellCare's Envolve Dental. I then scheduled a dental appointment to get my crown within 30 days as recommened by most dentists. I knew this procedure would require pre-authorization, so I called Envolve Dental to set it up. Afterwards, I called my dental office and Envolve continually to check on the authorization status. My dental appointment had to be cancelled because no authorization was given. I last called Envolve Dental on 18 DEC 2023 and spoke with ******* at 1:18PM - there were no prior authorizations at this time. In JAN 2024 I call Envolve Dental, they are no longer with WellCare, now it is DentaQuest. My dentist is not even in this network anymore. Sidebar alert: I called WellCare during Open Enrollment 2023 to make sure all my health care providers would be in network for the new year. The customer service person absolutely could NOT help me with any solid information here. So, I call the DentaQuest number from my new 2024 WellCare card and they tell me there is NO record of my dental history (Root Canal or Authorization Request). There is no continuum of care from one provider to the next. I was discarded by WellCare and Envolve Dental. In JAN 2024, I selected a new dentist from the DentaQuest's network. The next available appointment is in April 2024. This doctor will have to start the process for me to get my crown. WellCare is void of well and care.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.

This is for the Prescription Plans Terrible website (frequently offline, web pages that don't work) - for example I just tried to go paperless in the communications preferences and the website just failed. I contacted one of their chat agents and the problem is on their end and they know about the problem. It's been like that for weeks!They recently changed mail-order fulfillment to ExpressScript. Instead of migrating my data, I had to reenter everything, Even had to have my physician reissue each RX.Very poor customer service. I don't need this. Will definitely change at the next open enrollment.WellCare Health Plans, Inc.
