      Refund for almost 2yrs of fraudulent charges for scam health insurance. I have proof of being charged 2 separate paymnts when it should only be 1 payment a mth. Told I would have anthem as my insurance but convincedy payments were to go through my benefits keeper app. Went to actually **** insurance and finding out it was even activated ** I never actually made payment to my real insurance anthem wondering why am I paying 2 separate paymnts. I'v filed a complaint and never heard back so I'm reaching out in multiple ways demanding assistance. **

While we are continuing to investigate the consumers complaint, we would like to clarify if she wants us to cancel the currently active policy which provides Accidental Death and Dismemberment and Critical Illness coverage.       On January 3, 2022, the consumer purchased from an independent agent Group Accident Insurance which includes Accidental Death and Dismemberment and Outpatient Accident Medical Benefits underwritten by Axis Insurance Company. She electronically signed the application, acknowledging the policy details and authorizing electronic payment of the monthly premiums. The consumer received a welcome email, a welcome packet, and access to policy documents on the MyBenefitsKeeper online portal. The policy she purchased included a 30-day free look during which time if she was unhappy for any reason (as long as no claims were filed), she could cancel and get a full refund.

      We regret the consumer seeks refunds, but Benefytt has no record of her contacting us to cancel this policy.  Also, we have no record of any Anthem policies.  We suggest the consumer contact her independent agent and/or Anthem to discuss that policy. And, if she has any questions or wants to now cancel the Axis policy, Benefytt invites the consumer to contact us directly at ************ Monday - Friday 8:30am -5:00pm, and we will be happy to assist.

      Hello I was just given a bill (dated for 01/01/23 for the amount of $2,259.81). I had gone to the doctor on 08/20/22 for routine lab testing (that I had only agreed for due to being covered) and had checked 3 times if I was covered with them stating I was. However, I have still billed for these services. With the law suit, I think they had stated that they will refund me the months of August, September, and October. However, I would still have to pay for the lab testing that was supposed to be covered under that time period. They keep giving me the run around however they have stated that "claim payment is subject to eligibility at date of service" which I was eligible at the time. Can you please help me due to the fact that the only reason I have done this testing is that it was supposed to be covered. My account number is *****************.

On July 11, 2022, this consumer purchased directly online a Choice Advantage Short Term Medical policy,#LTT328550, underwritten by ************* Fire Insurance Company (*****). The consumer received a welcome email notifying her of a 30-day free-look period. She also received access to policy documents on Benefytts online portal.  

      Regarding the cancellation of the consumers policy, Benefytt properly sent her notification on September 6, 2022, regarding her ability to cancel and obtain any applicable premium refunds. On October 12, 2022, the consumer opted to cancel and Benefytt properly cancelled the policy and refunded the premiums she was due.

      The consumer indicates she received medical services on August 20, 2022, and is unhappy about a provider bill. Benefytt is not an insurance company and does not make claim or coverage decisions, or process insurance claims. And it does not have any records that match the account number she provided. During investigation, Benefytt contacted UFSICs Third Party Claims Administrator,and they do not have a record of a claim under the ***** policy.
      Benefytt regrets the consumer has issues and suggests she contact her *****s Third Party Claims Administrator, Insurance Benefit System Administrators **********************************************************************************, ***********************************************************, to file a claim and/or have her questions addressed.

      On 12/20.2022 I was contacted by an agent from an online inquiry I made about dental insurance. He then proceeded to get me to sign up for an HMO policy from the Supplement Plan I had. In doing the prescription review, he said he could not find the name of the specialty medication I need for an immune disease, but it was covered just the same as my old plan. He also stated that if I changed my mind and found it was not covered as my old plan, but around $500/month. It has been two weeks, I have been on the phone every day trying to make sure I have my old plan back. I still have not been able to get them to cancel the old plan, my prescription plan has been canceled and I am concerned about losing my health plan as well. I would not have changed plans if he had been honest. Insurance agents should not be allowed to lie to get someone to take coverage that is not right for them, just to get their commission or quota. I have complained to the company but have not received any assurance that this behavior is being dealt with. A licensed agent should not be allowed to behave this way. I am a senior citizen, recently widowed and on a very small pension. I was perhaps too trusting, but since he was licensed, had access to all my information, I did trust him. I feel that he took advantage of my age and situation.

      Ive paid 1300$ from the beginning of 2021 up until yesterday for a Benefytt plan that I didnt sign up for. The sales agent didnt tell me about this charge and I had assumed it was part of my regular insurance bill until I recently canceled the plan and was still charged 100$ as of yesterday by Benefytt. After googling this business I came across the lawsuit of many others experiencing the same. Ive canceled my card and disputed yesterdays charge. How do I get my money back from the last 12 months? Thats a lot of hard earned money.

This consumer purchased Group Accident Insurance - Accidental Death and Dismemberment policy underwritten by Axis Insurance Company from an ************ independent agent. The consumer electronically signed the documents on December 14, 2020, acknowledging the policy details and the payment of the premiums by automatic credit card payment. The consumer received a welcome email, a mailed welcome packet, and access to policy documents on Benefytts online portal. The policy purchased included a 30-day free look period during which time she could have cancelled the policy for any reason and have the premium refunded, assuming no claims had been made against the policy within that time frame. Shortly after the policy renewal, the Consumer contacted Benefytt to cancel on January 4, 2023. We honored her request to cancel and properly refunded the January 2023 premium.

      We regret that the consumer seeks additional refunds. However, the consumer had the benefit of the policy being in force to offer her protection for the time period set forth in the policy, for which she purchased and acknowledged and for which we promptly and properly honored her cancellation request. Benefytt considers this matter to be resolved.

      Benefytt Technologies, Inc.(Benefytt) responds to the consumers latest posting from January 9, 2023, where she claims she has called, but has been unable to reach **.  To date, according to our call logs, we have no record of her attempting to contact us.

      In any event, we have attempted to reach out to the consumer to address her cancellation and refund concerns at the telephone number she provided to both Benefytt and the Better Business Bureau. Our representative called on 12/22/2022 at 10:49 a.m. EST and again on 12/30/2022 at 10:11 a.m. EST. ********** there was no answer, and the representative left a voicemail explaining the purpose of the call and asking the consumer to call back directly at ************************ to discuss her issues.  Our representative did not receive a call back or message from the consumer after either call.

      Following the consumers most recent posting, our representative again called the contact number the consumer had provided to us and to the BBB.  On 1/10/2023 at 11:13 a.m. EST, a person with a female voice answered, said hello,and immediately disconnected the call. Our representative  immediately called back and after two rings,the call went to voicemail.  Our representative left another message inviting the consumer to call back to discuss her concerns.

      Benefytt is ready, willing, and able to attempt to resolve this consumers concerns.  We invite her to provide any alternate phone number(s), and again, invite her to contact us directly at *********************** Monday - Friday 7:30am 4:15pm EST, and we will be happy to assist.

      I was sold a policy from Benefytt Keeper Insurance, been paying the policy for years. Just found out a couple weeks now that they were sued and fined to refund customers. I knew nothing of this and how do I know if I'm getting a refund?

      I received a call from MyBenefitsKeeper regarding a lawsuit and refund. I was working at the time and asked for a call back when I was available. I never received another call and am still not sure why I am paying for the dental plan I did not want. I have not used the plan once and would like to know what my options are for refund.

      We have paid a total of $2276.25 since 2016 and will not be given any plan or account information. When we try to cancel, we are given a runaround and are eventually disconnected.

      I was led to believe the MyBenefitsKeeper.com aka Benefytt Technologies was an insurance provider, I had two routine yearly check **** a skin tag operation, and a vasectomy, none of which were covered because they didnt process the claim until a year later. After of discrepancy over the phone with their representatives was told they wouldnt be processed. Service Started 03/11/2019. Ended 2/12/21. I paid $2,030.00 for Advantage Health STM coverage over the course of 2 years Via Credit Card. I was not made away of outstanding balances by either my insurance or the service providers.

      I had a policy with the company since June 2021 paying 190 a month. August 15 2022 I went to the doctor for a yearly check up which is the first time I filed the insurance. This insurance company did not even cover an annual check up. I then found out the company was sued by the ftc for being fraudulent. I canceled my policy October 10th. I want to be refunded the ***** I spent while I was a customer there and was mislead to thinking I had coverage when I didnt.
