I purchased a laser hair removal package of $2400 in early July and was told that the earliest appointment they could make for the initial consultation was August 20th. On August 20 I arrived to their facilities a few minutes late and they told me my appointment was canceled and I had to reschedule at that point I decided I wanted my contract terminated since services had not been rendered and called corporate offices immediately. In researching further, I have discovered that the hair is too fine on my face and removal is not going to be effective. Today I got a call from the corporate office from someone saying that I would not be able to cancel this contract that it is none refundable. That is unsatisfactory and a rip off. If you have not provided any services why am I not able to cancel this contract? That along with the inability to have a reasonable appointment set on an ongoing basis is unsatisfactory, This issue was not explained to me at the time of sale. I would like my contract canceled and My money refunded. Stop Lying to make sales!Business Response

This business indicated that no refund would be issued and this appt is for me to see if there are others services I can apply the paid amount to instead. That does not take away that the sold me a contract for services That won't work. I am not interest in any other service they provide. But was told it was either that or just give up and throw away the money. Still looking for a full refund since no services have been provided.Business Response

I had a procedure set for Aug 3rd, a date I set over a month in advance. Shortly after, I received notification that I will be on a work trip and CANNOT make the appointment. I called my scheduling rep, who canceled the appointment and said everything was all set. However, Ideal Image still charged a Fortiva account in my name - despite telling me everything was canceled and nothing will be charged. I was given a rep ******************************** who called me once on Aug 2nd and emailed once that same day. I've called her 27 times since Aug 2nd, and left 7 voicemails and 7 emails (including today). She refuses to call me back and now Fortiva is sending my account to collections and continuously contacting me for payment. I'm currently on a 20+ minute hold with Ideal Image - whose customer service reps keep hanging up on **** want Ideal Image to give the money back to Fortiva like they were supposed to do.Business Response

Ebony,
The contracts with Ideal Image are non-refundable which is stated in the contract, even if services have not begun. (Refunds. Except in accordance with Section 4 of the Terms and Conditions and as may be required by state law, all fees and services are non-refundable.) We understand that you cancelled your appointment however this does not cancel the contract with Ideal Image or the third-party contract with Fortiva. Please let us know a time that works for you to schedule the services purchased. Thank you.Customer Answer

Section 4 - We may also terminate the Agreement at any time and for any reason and we will then refund you if our medical director in his/her sole discretion determines that you are not an appropriate candidate to receive treatment services as follows: 1) If treatment services have not yet been performed, you will receive a full refund in the amount of the total service fee price we received
**I did not receive services therefore I'm able to get a refund.
The refund should be going back to FortivaCustomer Answer

Hello. I had a consultation yesterday, the 28th and was not aware that I was signing a loan payment after the consulter had rushed me into signing without being aware of what was going on. I thought I would just be consulted for the 30 minutes to see if I was a candidate. It had been one day, I have not received any treatment at the bank (Ally) had not sent my money over as it states it will take 2-3 business days. I would like to cancel this contract.Business Response

In 01/2022 I had a zoom consultation with ideal image. I was informed ultherapy would be the best solution for my facial concerns. I was told *************** would only last a few months and ultherapy would last over a year. She then told me I needed my neck done and if I did it now I would save money. I signed the contract after being told this would work and I would see results within 6 months. I paid $2,209.04 and after 6 months I see no changes. I was rushed to sign documents over zoom and feel this was all just done to get more money from me. I followed ** in July because I noticed my face got worse, they took many pictures and told me to come back in August. I returned in August and they took more pictures to document change, which there weren't any to document. I was offered $160 of Botox instead of a refund which I refused and I requested a follow up. After this conversation, the manager never called me back with an answer. I then spoke to someone above both managers after reaching out to the corporate number. Yet again he wanted to give me a credit for Botox at a value of $160. I was told I can't get refunded the full amount because of the contract that I was rushed to sign. I was told by their employee this will work and it is the best option and will last longer than boxtox. I am very disappointed in this company and feel completely ripped off. It took me a long time to make a decision to spend the money on myself and now I have absolutely nothing to show for it. It's like they just stole the money from me. The person in charge refuses to do anything besides the $160 worth of Botox. This was all being done for for my daughter's wedding which is this weekend. Now I have lost $2,209.04 and have no results.Business Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Yes, I was treated with absolutely no results to show for it. Even the employees were unable to find the results. One even said "Botox or fillers may have been a better option". When providing a consultation the person providing the consult should be knowledgeable enough to know which services will work for which type of skin and should not imply that the services will work instead of another service such as Botox or fillers if they are not sure. I feel as though this was all just a sales pitch to have me spend more money but not actually see results. You should pride yourself on providing the highest quality of services to your patients and provide them with results. Instead you just want a quick signature on a contract and to take their money regardless if the service will actually work. You as a company should want to make this right and show you actually care for your patients and not just want to take their money because now I have absolutely nothing to show for your this. Your solution of $160 worth of Botox is not acceptable.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because I was told this treatment would work for the issues I presented to them. I was told this was my best option and would see results in 6 months. This is not the case. I had a consult with their employee and this was the treatment they said I needed. They should know if the service being provided is appropriate or not. I believe they just wanted to sell me the service because it was more money. They did not care about me as a patient. They just wanted money which is why I was rushed through signing their contract. Yes, they offered me services but these services are only worth $160 that is no where near what I paid in total for a service that did absolutely nothing. They should not be giving consults and having people pay all this money if there is a chance it will not work. Also, this should be addressed at the consult. Patients should not be told you will see results in 6 months if they do not know that. You should be able to back your services and products. Instead, you are pretty much saying oh well, youre out of luck. I do not accept this response or your $160 service as trying to make things right.
Sincerely,

On Aug 6th 22 I had a zoom call with the rep for a CONSULTATION to see if I was a good fit for cool sculpting with Ideal Image. The rep said by a zoom call I was a great candidate the rep just kept talking and going over pricing and ******* me to sign a documents. I told her I had to talk to my husband about it first before I made a decision. She then proceeded to tell me to look at the documents I then told her that was a lot to read she told me they would send me the documents in my email and to sign I said sign here she then told me yes. And at no point did she tell me it was a contract. Then she moved on to how much I would want to pay " no interest" still at NO point did the rep mention anything about me signing up for financial loan mind you had the rep told me this was a contract-loan I would have never done It. I told her I had medical Issue and never did she say to consult your doctor. This is a zoom consultation no-one should ever have to be tricked into signing things Its a scam and unprofessional. when I told her about my medical issues she just kept talking to distract me. I told her I had to talk to my husband again then she said this is the last day for the discount so I was under the impression I was getting the discount saved for when I had a office visit. I was not aware of any contract nor was it mention at anytime. I was still under the Impression it was a consultation not a contract signing. Then the rep kept talking I was again not aware I was applying for a financing loan. Then the rep told me I should receive a call from ideal image to schedule an appointment on Monday and I would receive a bill 3 weeks after appt was made. I never got a call for appt but did receive a bill. I call customer service they did not help I explained about contract she said sorry we will talk to the rep for better couching. Please fix this its not right and you know it. I no longer want to do any business with ideal image. I want the contract gone along with loan.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I am not happy with the outcome. The consultant never told me i had until September 5th to sign. Nor did she ever say at any point during our zoom meeting that i was signing a contract. I told her it was a lot of reading and she said not to worry about it that she would send me all the documents and told me to go ahead and just sign. I was under the impression that i was signing to retain the discount that she said was only good for that day. I told the consultant that i had concerns regarding my medical history and she proceeded to change the subject totally disregarding my concerns. Now they want my medical history when i was trying to talk with her about it during the zoom call. No contract should have been done over a zoom meeting after she informed me that i was a good candidate. This should have been followed up by an office visit to discuss medical history and the contract. I at no point did i ever receive an email from them asking for a detailed description about my medical history. I currently have ****** stools, mucus stools, and inflammation of the bowels. I am currently still waiting for test results from my doctor regarding my medical issues. I am requesting a zoom call recording as Ideal Image never once mentioned anything about a contract during our call. This is complete deception on their part as a company.
Sincerely,

The Service agreement( contract) is sent to each guest and in their position. Once acknowledged you are stating that you have read, agree to and understood all details of this agreement. The agreement requires that you scroll ALL the way through every page before moving forward. This is not deceptive. It seems that the agreement was not truly read and understood. I am rejecting this response because: During my zoom meeting with ***** i specifically told her that the contract is a lot to read. She said don't worry I will send you all the documents for my review. Again, I was under the impression from ***** that what i was signing was only to retain the discount which she had expressed to me was the last day to retain the discount. She at no point told me i was signing a contract. I told her more than once I needed time to look over any contract before I sign. Again she said don't worry about that just sign for the discount. Not one time did she say I was signing a contract. That in itself is deceptive because at no time was signing a contract discussed. Does this business have a recording of the zoom call that I have requested? When I did have time to review the whole contract that she had sent me, it clearly states not to sign until everything has been read and understood. Furthermore, the bottom of the contract states I had until 9/5/2022 to sign. So why would ***** pressure me into signing something I haven't even had the chance to read? This is because she was being deceptive and told me to just go ahead and sign even though she fully understood that I haven't even had the chance to review the contract. This is because she kept saying i needed to sign in order to retain the discount. I have yet to receive a phone call to make any kind of appointment with this company even after they said they would contact me in the next couple days. I have also been billed for services I have not even had yet. Ally is the financing company that billed me my total is ******** I have a no interest rate and payed ******. How can you bill people for a procedure that has not been done? This is unprofessional misleading and a scam I will continue to reject this until resolved with a voided contract that I wanted to review before signing but was tricked and again not aware of signing.
Sincerely,

I reached out to Ideal Image by phone on 7/26/2022 to gather information regarding laser hair removal and with no intent of making any purchase or financial commitment at that time. The consultant I spoke with was *************************** and during our conversation she sent me paperwork in order to set an appointment. There was no transparency or explanation that the paperwork was a contract for service or a binding agreement. Those details were only evident in the terms and conditions, but the emphasis of her conversation was not on reviewing those terms for understanding rather on getting them returned. I felt pressured to reply quickly and did not understand the document's content. I did not intend to enter into a contract or purchase anything from Ideal Image. After the call, on the same day 7/26/22 I canceled appointment. I was surprised to receive a bill from ********* on 8/13/2022.I immediately contacted Ideal Image by text. They replied on 8/14/2022 with a previously missing explanation about contractual terms. Later that day, I sent her an email requesting assistance in resolving the unintended consequences of the initial phone call. After several days I heard from a representative who I made no effort to resolve my concern or address the less than transparent sales process. Rather he insisted they had a binding contract and had no means to cancel the contract or refund the money, despite the fact they have provided no service. I simply want a refund.Business Response

I did a consultation with Ideal Image on 27 August and made an appointmentfor ****************************** receiving Botox. After speaking with my consultant ***** they added filler to the appointment as well. However, I expressed my wish to discuss the procedure during my appointment. I put my card on file to be charged for the services rendered during my appointment and was assured that I would not be charged for services I did not receive. At the appointment I discussed my concerns about recent and continued weight loss and the effect it might have on fillers over time. The nurse practitioner agreed that it was not a good time for fillers and that I would not get the results I was looking for. I did however have my Botox completed at that time. The nurse practitioner told me that I would be best off calling to ensure I wasn't charged for the filler. After calling I was told that they could open a ticket and someone might call me back in 3 to 5 days. However, I still have a pending charge for services that I did not receive. I am hopeful that they can either cancel this charge or refund my money soon. However, I don't believe I should have been charged for services prior to my discussion with the nurse practitioner.Business Response

The contract clearly states that I was charged for filler which I was told by the nurse was not a good fit for me so the service was not performed. Not refunding a person for a medical service that you did not perform is a scam. Additionally, I was told when I made the appointment that I would have a chance to speak with the practitioner about the treatment. Obviously this was misleading if I was to be charged and couldn't be refunded for a treatment that wasn't performed.Customer Answer
Date: 09/01/2022
The contract also states that "We may also terminate the Agreement at any time and for any reason and we will then refund you if our medical director in his/her sole discretion determines that you are not an appropriate candidate to receive treatment services as follows: 1) If treatment services have not yet been performed, you will receive a full refund in the amount of the total service fee price we received, less $100" I was told I was not an appropriate candidate for the treatment so I did not have the service. I do not want a different contract for a different service I want to be refunded per the contract.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: This response does not satisfy my complaint. The contract only states "not an appropriate candidate to receive treatment". I have no intention of receiving a cosmetic treatment after being told by your staff that I am not an appropriate candidate based on the results I am looking for. Preforming the procedure with poor results because it is "safe" is not an adequate resolution.

My wife had a zoom consultation and was told that the lower part of both her arms could reduce the hanging skin after she had had bariatric surgery last December. They immediately wanted us to borrow the money for the procedure and we told them we would put $1000 down. The entire amount was processed before her first appointment and $1000 was sent to Ideal Image. When she arrived for her appointment, she was told that the procedure would not work for her. I called the loan company and canceled the loan, but they told me that they had already sent $1000 to Ideal Image. When we called them, they said they would refund the money, but they charged it to my **** credit card. This company is a robber baron and should be put out of business.Business Response

I had a call with someone from ideal image and she was extremely pushy on selling the *** package, she'd had mentioned that this service was safe for breastfeeding and never said I could not be refunded - I bought it on 7/28 for $826.50. I then talked to my doctor and my baby's doctor as well as other skin specialists and they said not to do this while breastfeeding. Since I don't know when I'll be done I wanted a refund. I have called the location about 10 times asking to talk with someone that can help me but have yet to get a call back. The last call the girl who answered said she can't give me a managers email or phone number.Business Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not feel comfortable doing the service while breastfeeding and extending the life of my service does not help me as I am planning to breastfeed for a very long time given economic conditions and formula situations.
It was never mentioned to me that this was non refundable, which is extremely important information, especially since she said I could do it while breastfeeding and now finding out I can't/definitely don't feel comfortable doing it.
$825 is a lot of money for some people, I'd really appreciate a refund - I do think you could make an exception given medical reasons and not upfront information during the initial call
ThanksBusiness Response

Why choose a BBB Accredited Business?BBB Business Profiles may not be reproduced for sales or promotional purposes.
BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.
When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
