7/26/22 my beloved **** was taken to this facility for a consult. ***************************** assessed **** and agreed that the soft palate resection was necessary. The PLan was that **** was to be evaluated by the ********************* on 7/27/22 THEN if she was cleared by them that the surgery would happen. 7/27 7:30 am I sign the paperwork and did SIGN a DO NOT Resuscitate form, I send **** off telling her be brave. Shortly after 9 am I receive a call from ************** that there is a problem. While prepping **** for surgery she sustained a stage 3 laryngeal collapse. ( NO Cardiology consult was done), I was told that they performed a Soft Palate Resection, a laryngeal sacculectomy and a wedge resection of her nares. When I arrived **** was intubated, condition was grave.she then rallied a bit, but then her lungs filled with fluid after she was extubated. She was unable to breathe on her own. With great sadness she was euthanized. Even though I had signed the *** and NO cardiology consult was done I was still held accountable for the $4387 bill WHICH had to be paid prior to the surgery .I did contact the facility asking for the bill to be reduced. I was told that was not possible. I do plan on reporting this to the ************ ******************* as it is obvious that my wishes were not followed and the cardiology consult was never done to ensure Ellas safety.

Very disappointed in the care and compassion (correction--LACK of care and compassion) shown to me and my sick dog. I'm aware there were animals sicker than mine, but to be placed in an isolation room-- treated like we had the plague-- for 2 hours with no one communicating with us or checking on us is unacceptable. After 2 hours, we left without anyone even noticing. We just wanted some cough medicine since she was coughing and choking on mucous every 10 minutes becoming more and more lethargic. When your regular Vet Office is Closed, there's no where else to turn to for help. I am a Medical Provider and would never treat my patients, despite how seriously sick or not sick they are, like this.

Caveat Emptor - Latin for "Let the Buyer Beware". Where to start? - - In October of 2021 our worst fears were confirmed after our Primary Vet told us that our beloved ***** was diagnosed with Canine Lymphoma Cancer at age 7. When we asked, as everyone does, "what do we do"? She said you must see a canine Oncologist to determine the best course of treatment and you must do it now. After researching 'Canine Oncology' BluePearl *********************************************** Pet Hospital in ******** ** on *******************. appeared to be the closest to our location in *********, ** some 2-21/2 hours away one-way, 4-5 hours round-trip. Though our Primary did not recommend them they appeared to be a full-service pet hospital with a built-in Oncology Unit. From this point forward I will try to give you more of a summary versus detail which could fill volumes of reviews. At the start of this process their level of customer service working in concert with the fact that the Chemo-Therapy treatments she would soon undergo were being provided by concerned and compassionate professionals. They were, until, after 5 months *****'s Cancer returned after only 60 days in remission. Translation - Complete Failure. Though that was not necessarily the fault of BluePearl, As it became apparent to ** that any further treatments would not result in a positive outcome and, more importantly, the money spiggot would be turned off, their attitude toward us and our sick family member changed very quickly. At one-point during one recent and difficult trip to *********************, one ** staffer attempted to eject my wife from the ** facility before she had received all of the correct documentation was provided to her regarding the visit. But, of course, not before they took an additional over $1,000.00 from of our bank account for the visit. This last trip of only one day ago we had to pay $2,400.00 BEFORE they would even begin treatment. To date $15,000.00. She passed away 8/17/22 in our arms. STAY AWAY from **.

I had to take my dog to Blue Pearl (Formerly CARES in Langhorne, PA) for emergency treatment. When I arrived, they told me they were on a Pause & weren't sure sure if they were able to see her because they only had one doctor on call. They would probably triage her & send to to another location. Since Blue Pearl has bought all the veterinary hospitals in Philadelphia & the surrounding areas, they're service is terrible & overpriced. VSEC & CARES always had multiple doctors available to treat patients. Blue Pearl is an Emergency Veterinary Hospital & needs to have more Staff available to treat patients at all times.

I absolutely loved the service I received today for my animal. Gabby was phenomenal and the front desk lady (I didn't get her name) but she was absolutely amazing also. Gabby even gave me a cat carrier that was so nice. Service was amazing. 10/10 experience. Thank you ladies!!!

My dog was having breathing issues I went to the Maitland office they charged me 2000+ for a CT scan and said there was a tumor and charged me for a biopsy and the results found inconclusive because they couldn't get cells from the tumor then I was referred to in Tampa where I paid $7000 for radiation and in all this time it never occurred to me to ask to see for x-rays I have never seen the tumor on x-rays And I promise CareCredit is in cahoots with them

BluePearl is a predatory business that preys on pet owners feelings in life or death situations, by over charging for services. My dog was in their facility for what we thought was heat exhaustion (she was only outside for minutes). They required $850 just to look at her and then required $2100 for the night. No payment plans, paid upfront. It was either use rent/bill money or our dog dies. We get home and leave our pet at the facility wondering how we will make our rent. When we got home we scanned our backyard finding a wrapper for THC candies chewed up. Knowing this is the reason. Called the facility they then wanted us to pay pet poison control (they had her) to let them know what they want us to do. We stated that we couldn't afford the additional $75 and then they said they'd run additional testing. We were certain we were dealing with THC intoxication which for her size and the amount was not toxic. A family member is a vet, we didn't take our pet to him because he's an hour away. He told us she would be fine to bring home just to watch her. We called the vet and requested that, after arguing with the doctor she agreed to let us take her home. The sedative they had given her had made her incompetent and completely immobile. When we arrived they stated they would give us back $1700. They said in 3-4 days we would receive it even though we had given them cash hours prior. It's been 2weeks now without anything and cooperate is no longer responding. Giving any help when in this economy we need that money. I wouldn't recommend this facility, they don't properly take care of the animals, and they will rip you off using your pet to suck you dry of every penny.

Yesterday we rushed my 1 1/2 yr old rat terrier to the vet for breathing issues. When we got there they immediately put him on Oxygen and gave him fluids. They didn't contact us back for 3 hours then called and said he had to have been "ran over, or kicked" he has serious bruising on his lungs. Excuse me ? So I obviously said no my dog is loved more than anything by everyone. They said the would call us back again called us back an hour later and said he had aspiration pneumonia and that his only chance of survival was to stay there for 3 days at 6 thousand dollars in an oxygen cage. So I started to scramble to come up with the money to save my dogs life. Then I realized after a couple of google searches that it could be taken care of at home. After I begged to get on the phone with the doctor she wasn't compassionate at all and told me that he could even die in their care. I told the doctor I needed to take him home and care for him because I didn't have the money. I asked the doctor how I could care for him at home and she wouldn't tell me she kept repeating "so you are denying my medical advice on a recorded line . I asked the technician that watched over him all day and she said with the right antibiotics he would be okay to take home, and that this happens to pugs all the time and most of the time they are fine!!! So they had me think my dog was gonna die for no reason just to take money from me. On the discharge papers the doctor wrote "ethuanization" may be a compassionate choice!!!!!!! My dog is doing just fine after 1 day of coming home from the hospital. They will keep your animal alive so they can extort from you, and then when you tell them you don't have it they offer to kill them. This place is evil and so is the doctor don't ever take your animal here go to a different emergency room.
