      Brought our dog in to ************** ** hospital on Sunday due to an emergency situation. After the initial check-up they had us wait for over 4(!) hours. The staff were updating us every hour that there was just one other patient in line before us. Then we found that there was just one vet doctor in staff. Terrible place!

      I am so thankful for SVS. After our lab had been misdiagnosed elsewhere, Dr ******************* (surgeon) did a thorough examination, then correctly diagnosed him without any tests (but we chose to do the tests to confirm.) He's an excellent surgeon, as well as a terrific diagnostician, but we never felt pushed into surgery. He's always been very compassionate. We've seen a few other vets there, and always received excellent care. It's expensive, but I wouldn't go anywhere else for something potentially serious or requiring surgery.

      Great care, good people there, friendly and didn't push with all the services that could have been available. I have them in my phone now and will use if I have to. I thought their pricing was fair considering they are open 24 hours (***********), especially when they will look at your pet where most other vets don't have openings.

      We were seen at Blue Pearl in Cary, NC for our cat who was losing weight. The internal medicine doctor recommended doing a PARR test, which would be sent to an outside lab, to find a diagnosis. I was told the results could take up to 14 days to receive. After almost a month filled with repeated calls and them saying the results were still “pending”, I still hadn’t received the results. In the meantime my cat was not eating at all and was wasting away. I finally took him to my primary vet, since Blue Pearl wouldn’t help me. She was able to access BP’s records and found that they failed to send off the blood sample for 13 days! By the time we received a diagnosis, more than a month after first taking him to BP, it was too late, the small cell GI lymphoma (which should be easily managed) had spread to his bone marrow and we had to let him go. To add insult to injury, afterwards they asked for our feedback, which we willingly gave. During my conversation with the customer relations specialist, I was asked about an outstanding balance of $671. I explained that was for the PARR test which wasn’t sent out for almost 2 weeks and when we finally got the results almost a month later, they were inconclusive, possibly because the blood sample wasn’t viable anymore. BP ultimately refused to waive the cost of the test stating that it was the lab’s fault. The lab never received the test. Of course not, because it was NEVER SENT! I asked to speak to the manager and was told she would call me back. It has now been over 3 months and I have yet to receive a return call, despite follow-up calls and emails. Honestly, I am not terribly concerned about the money. I am concerned about their lack of transparency and accountability. This practice was recently bought out by BP. Under the former ownership, we always received compassionate, quality, patient centered care. Since BP has taken over, the quality of care has drastically diminished. Their focus is on money, not patients.

      Had a very sick cat. They refus refused to examin her. Patronized and laughed because of my anxiety attack over their lack of compassion Reno Nv location On 10/19/2022. IRONICALLY ALSO MY 66TH BIRTDAY Not a very happy day for me.

      2 dogs there over the years and both died in their care. One was a 2 yr old puppy after a 10k surgery for swallowing a sock. Very expensive and not a great track record with our family.

      I would not recommend anyone to take their pet here because they are useless. Why are you an EMERGENCY hospital if you don't have a surgeon available. Imagine you went to the hospital because you or your child has an emergency and they tell you "well we don't have a surgeon available so there's nothing we can do but we can call a surgeon to come in but you need to make a deposit of $7k-10k before we call him but also you/your child won't make it by the time the surgeon gets here" I believe you guys do not understand the meaning of EMERGENCY. If the surgeon was available when I brought my dog in, there could of been a chance of him surviving a bit longer. There could of been a chance and you guys did not give him that chance. You simply said "there's nothing we can do". I'm also not the only one that has taken their dog to Blue Pearl and the dog ends up not making it. It's like you guys are angels of death. Lazy people not willing on giving a chance to someone who needs it. Its a shame. Then I was still charged for you guys not doing anything! Horrible service. Horrible experience. You guys shouldn't even be open.

      I was in a situation where my bearded dragon needed antibiotics for a parasite infection. Even though there was not an exotic vet there on the weekends, they assured me that I could bring him in to be examined and get his meds - as his exotic vet was closed on the weekend. Not knowing how expensive it was going to be, I brought him in around 5 am on a Sunday morning. We were seen within minutes (it was pretty much empty) and out with in the hour. The cost for the visit was 160 and meds 25 dollars. Much less than I had anticipated. Staff was very kind and gentle with him. The veterinarian was amazing. They were prompt and very caring.

      My 10 year old Wheaten Terrier had a cancer cyst on his hind leg removed a year ago. They sent him home without covering the incision or any medication. His incision got infected and he had a second surgery to remove the infection. The surgery came to $5000 - they never offered me a refund or a discount. This past Friday my dog was attacked and bit by another dog. I took him to Blue Pearl covered in blood and they refused to see me. Their reasoning was that they had another emergency in the basement. They didn’t offer me to wait, they sent me to ****** ******* ****** and I got him taken care of there. My advice: Stay away from Blue Pearl
