    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!Waited 3.5 hours for the service tech to appear for the annual maintenance on my ac unit. Naturally, they suggested I purchase a UV light for my unit that is only 1 year old (that was installed by ECM). I listened to the tech and had it installed. After he left my home I noticed there was mud and dirt throughout my home wherever he had worked, which I had to clean up. the ** unit is located in my attic, which requires a ladder to reach the removable panel to access the attic. I Immediately called the ECM office and after waiting on the line for over 15 minutes I was transfered from person to person with the result being, sorry for your inconvenience, but tomorrow between **** we could get someone out to your home. I told them my time is more valuable than theirs and that is not acceptable. The office manager, someone named ****, was basically rude and inconsiderate. It was his opinion, that they were accommodating me by returning the next day, and I should be happy with that solution. I advised him a was a customer for 7.5 years and there are other companies that would be happy to have my business. He got progressively more rude and basically told me he doesn't care if I don't renew my contract.I then asked to speak to the phantom owner, a *****************, who naturally doesn't accept phone calls from his customers. He only advertises that the only important thing is a satisfied customer! What a total lie. In conclusion, please do not call this company if you expect professionalism and customer **********************, you only get incompetence and lies.

    We were very sorry to read this review and by copy of this response, we would like to extend to the customer our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused him. We did review his telephone calls and the handling of his tune up. As the customer knows, our scheduling windows are 4 hours. However, ************** should have cleaned up after himself and closed up the Air Handler unit on completion of the service call. Please be assured we have since handled this matter internally to prevent any reoccurrence in the future. We are not sure why the customer feels he waited 15 minutes on the phone as we tracked his conversations and found they were all answered timely. Nevertheless, we do agree that the Customer ********************** Supervisor could have handled the conversation better and we have addressed that as well. If this customer ever needs assistance in the future, we ask that he request to speak to the Customer ********************** Manager who would be happy to personally assist him.

    You should be able to leave NO STARS !! This Compnay *****….they so called fixed my newer ac I bought from them just 4 years ago - in December 2022 it stopped working- I paid 1000 dollars - and now May 2023 not working again. They want 120 just to come out - only guarantee there work for 3 months —. So if you love spending money to not have your ac working - this is the company to use - to waste your money

    This is just a heads up warning for anyone that has or is thinking of hiring ECM-East Coast Mechanical Inc. This company is in Boynton Beach and does appliance warranty contracts and air conditioning installs. BUYER BEWARE!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are totally incompetent! They can’t even do a water heater install correctly. It failed inspection twice and it’s been 5 months since they did my water heater installation!!! They made me waste many days waiting for their plumbers to come and never showed up. Then other times their plumber said he was too tired to move my very light oven to get to my water heater. My 90lb daughter could move it! But they have no clue what they are doing! They had the PBC city inspectors come here for nothing! They are not happy either!! Since the install of my water heater failed inspection as it was NOT TO CODE they are being vindictive and giving us all a hard time. Just a warning!!! Find another appliance warranty company that knows what they are doing! They are WAY OVERPRICED TOO!!

    I had called for an A/C cleaning for my newly purchased home. The technician barely looked at the unit and said it needed to be replaced. He then proceeded to use every old sales scare tactic in the book, such as the unit wasn't installed to code, there is mold and rust on the coils, there is rust on the fan. I was then informed they only had one unit left in stock and should act quickly. He even went so far as to accuse my realtor of having the inspector lie to pass the inspection, which I know is a lie because I have known her for years. When I told him I would consider it, he left and sat in his truck for 30 minutes, perhaps waiting for me to run out frantically and tell him I'd take it.I felt that I was being intimidated into purchasing through them, even if they were telling the truth, which I highly suspect was not the case.

    Took the day off from work, they told me between 11am and 3pm, its now 4:30pm and Im still waiting for a tech to show up for a plumbing issue.. I will for sure not renew next year.. 7 year customer..

    After waiting 15 minutes on the phone listening to how important my business was to them, I scheduled an appointment because the freezer part of my refrigerator was not freezing. The first repairman came out, took the back off the refrigerator and said I needed a specialist to look at it. The specialist came out the following week, didnt even open the freezer door and said to keep all food out of the freezer for a month and listen to make sure the freezer was running. At that point, I hired a refrigeration company who came and fixed the freezer fan problem. He did all the work from the front of the refrigerator. A few weeks later, I heard a burring noise coming from the back of the unit. My refrigeration man came back, listened to the noise, moved the refrig and found the ECM guy never put the back panelof refrig on correctly. The panel was loose, not screwed in causing the noise. Each time I had to pay for a service call. ECM says they have trained technicians. Not true. Stay away from them.

    We are sorry we disappointed the customer; however, our records indicate she  telephoned ECM at 9:29am  on February 2, 2023, to report her Refrigerator was not cooling. Our Service Technician arrived at  her home at 1:20pm that same day. He found that there was an issue with the Sealed System and notified our office to send a Refrigerant Specialist (an expert Technician that only works on Refrigerators).  

    On that Saturday, two days later, our Specialist was dispatched to the customer's home and found the Refrigerator was already repaired by someone else and the Specialist was sent away.

    After waiting a week for them to come out and repair my dishwasher I was told they were running behind. The tech was either going to come to my house after 9 pm or said they would prioritize me for fist thing the next day. Trying to be nice I let them move the appoint so he didnt have to work so late. The next day no phone call when I called and spoke with the manager he wouldnt put me on the schedule for another appointment for over a week out! I was lied to and taken advantage of. Do not use this company!

    Jack D. Boca Raton, FL 522 1/9/2023 522 1/9/2023 My client's A/c stopped working and they had the top of the line warranty contract with ECM so they called on ECM TO FIX THE A/C!!!, ECM sent out a technician to assess the issue. When the technician arrived they showed him how to get to the roof where the air handled was located. The tech advised he did not have a 17ft ladder and could not get one. He reported to ECM there was an access issue and they could not repair the a/c.ECM cancelled the warranty contract and refunded what was paid without attempting to access the roof OR REPAIR THE A/C!!!.I would recommend that no one use ECM because notwithstanding a legal contract they summarily cancelled the WARRANTY policy and issued a refund to avoid paying the $3,000 the contact required them to pay in cases where they cannot repair an a/c unit.

    We used this service for more than two years. There work ethics were shoddy; workmen coming in late, charging more than the market rate, replacing with substandard components were few of the characteristics. The bigger problem was not honoring the contract terms of equipment replacement. When we enquired about it on the phone, the people on the phone were extremely rude, they used expletives words and derogatory terms and ask us to stop calling them. Therefore, we cut the ties. Stay the heck away from these crooks and find some better replacement.

    How do these people stay in business??Its all great until you need to use the service you paid for. Techs dont correctly diagnose the problems and waste your time with multiple trips needed to correct any problems. Nothing is included in the contract when you do need anything done. Four hour windows get extended with no concern for your time. Nothing but issues if you do ever need to rely on your contract. *********************!
