I had been a customer with this company for almost 20 years. The contract was cancelled less than five month into the renewal term for 8/23 through 8/24 because I sold the condo. I paid $602 and received a refund of $198. When I question their calculations I was told that they charged me for an AC tune up service that was added for $60 and included in my $602 yearly fee. When I asked her to explain how they can penalize me for a service I contracted for $60 with double the fee, she said she will call me back after she gets this answer. Of course I haven't heard from them!Don't deal with them. They are not a honest company!

DECEPTION AND FALSE ADVERTISING... I responded to a flyer that touted a 29 point A?C tune-up for $59....all that happened was the tech came out, told me my unit was too old to do anything then tried to sell me a new unit...and I paid him!!!! THEN...wait, there's more.....after a few days I mulled it over and called the company and the women answering the call were rude and hung up...someone should report them...

Worse service company experience Ive with ac companies.. installed a Rheem system 3 years ago.. after a year coils had to be replaced, another year and a half, I need new coils again! ECM came to this conclusion and although its under warranty, they charged $900 to tell me this and top off the gas.. four days later Im still waiting for my new coil which will cost another $1300 yo install!!This is outrageous money grab! Oh, and whats up with ***** and their faulty coils!! Even after loosing class action suits, ***** continues to deliver faulty product! Our government should do something to protect the consumer!

When my home was newly built in **** we got a Service Contract with ECM. Every homeowner in the development had one. They were great to deal with and we saved a fortune in repairs and replacements. Stayed with them for over 4 decades because of that. Unfortunately, it seems all good things must come to an end.Service / coverage had deteriorated in recent years, but it was the outright dishonesty (thievery) that ended our relationship. I had them in for a scheduled annual maintenance on the air conditioner. The technician insisted the unit had to be replaced. Didn't want to do anything with it because "the pressurized lines could blow at any time. I knew there was nothing wrong with it, but it was the way he kept insisting that he personally had nothing to gain with the replacement that set off alarm bells. I was then given a quote that was $2,000 higher than another company's. Fortunately that other company confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the unit and no reason to replace it. Been debating wither to refer this to the Attorney General ever since.I'm writing this review after hearing from others that this practice has become systemic. In the case of my 99 year old neighbor, she called them in to replace fluorescent tube bulbs in her kitchen. They wanted to charge her $300 for new balasts. Again, there was nothing wrong with them.

The worst company with terrible bad customer service. My water heater was not working, I called in a tech. The Tech came to fix it, had issues with processing my payment from the company side and preceded to take my card physically to his truck without me being there. I went out and ask for my card, he ask me to write my card information. He was hostile and preceded to tell me that he need to process the payment. I felt threatened and close my door. I called the business the next day, I got the run around by customer service Sharon, and the Supervisor ******** ****. I was told that I was lying about what transpired. They were rude and unprofessional. The company does not care about their customers and maintaining a good relationship.

EMC stole my 39 dollar Groupon, 7/7/23 They could not perform any service because of rain. EMC redeemed my Groupon doing NO service. Had to wait 1month until they had an opening. I received no reminder no text no phone call. I called them to reschedule, EMC said they could not, since they had been to our home 2's already. I advised them that they did NOT come on 7/7. The office manager HUNG UP on me. I would like to have them give back my 39 dollars to Groupon.

I have been a customer of ********************** for some years. Recently I have noticed a deterioration on their promptness in responding to issues. On 7/27/2023. I called because my drain lines were clogged and sewerage was coming into the shower and tub. I was told a plumber will come the next day between 2 and 6, he arrived after 5, took one look at the situation and said the drain needed to be snaked and left without scheduling the revisit.. On Saturday (7/29) I called and was told by the agent they could not dispatch anyone until MONDAY; even though I could not use any faucets and sewage was flooding my floor. I quoted excerpts from their website bragging about responding to plumbing emergencies in 60 minutes and cleaning drains the same day. His response I do not have anyone available. ECM is engaging in deceptive, false and misleading advertising. Their website states in at least two locations drains cleaned today and plumbing emergencies responded to in 60 minutes. Neither of these did they uphold in my case. Had the plumber on Friday told me that they could not snake the drain until Monday I would have immediately called an alternate. I called Roto Rooter and had a plumber within 2 hours and the problem fixed in less than in two more hours. I will not be renewing my contract with ECM. I advise anyone considering using ECM that they carefully read the fine print and reconsider.

I would give negative stars if that was an option. ECM came to my house for a tuneup and ever since that tune up everything went downhill. I told them that my ** was not working properly and they said its the warm weather and the tune up guy was more concerned with replacing the fluorescent bulb than the fact that my ** was not working properly so that he could charge me $800 for the bulb. Then days later I had someone else come out due to the ** not cooling and now they tell me I need the coil replaced in my ** handler for $425 as it was covered under my warranty. The next day my ** stops cooling so they come out again and now theyre telling me I need a $7000 part yes $7000 part for my Air conditioner unit that is outside my house. They argue with me for days that the unit is not covered under warranty yet the company that makes the unit gave me a letter in writing that it is under warranty. After days of waiting to hear back from ECM with NO ** with two young kids to see if they can get the part for me under warranty since it is under warranty, they told me it will still be a $2000 warranty processing fee!! Meanwhile ** getting a reputable air conditioning company to do the entire job for me for $800 . I highly suggest you stay away from ECM. What a waste of my $$ giving them 20 years of my business Im done and cancelling my contract tomorrow when it is business hours.

Run!! Do NOT waste your time considering this company! On 7/14, ECM came out to my mom's for an AC tune-up and maintenance. I was visiting from **. As with many homes in Fla, the **** is in the attic. The technician installed a UV light to kill bacteria in the attic. He "checked" everything and "unclogged the outdoor drain." He was not there long. A few hours later, the system shut down and the house registered at 88. I called then and through the weekend. The company has an "emergency repair guarantee in 60 minutes or less and 24/7 emergency service." ******* in customer ********************** said they would not come out til Thursday! When I told her my mom was elderly, she said they weren't serving elderly customers on oxygen (??). She said they'd come out Monday. Late Saturday, we noticed a 3 foot section of the ceiling was bulging with water. The plaster was destroyed and water was flowing. I put buckets underneath and called their "emergency 24/7 line." No answer. I left a detailed message and never received a call back. We were close to having a flood. I called ******** at 1 am and they had someone out the next day at 9 am. Turns out the drain pipe that the ECM tech "cleared" was severely clogged and caused the water back-up. The tech spent 2 hours and he got the system working quickly. AMAZING company! I called ECM to bring them up to date. A very *********************** again. She told me that drain pipes get severely clogged up in ******* overnight and I can't compare it to my home up north. I asked her to have someone come out to repair the ceiling. She said she'd tt the President *********************** (read his message on their site) and get back to me. She called, said **** said to read the back of the contract, they weren't responsible.Would you go to the hardware store for bread? They are not a dedicated AC company. ECM also does plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.I'd love to **** but ECM is not worth my time.Ignore any explanation ECM may have to my review. Untrue.

We called EAST COAST MECHANICAL, *************, **, on April, Saturday 20, 2023, to fix my air conditioning unit as it was not cooling. I had bought the apartment a few months before and had moved just that day. Until then the air worked well. I got their information from a sticker located in the ** that stated they had done the installation in 2017 and that the unit could be covered by their "10-year warranty". They responded and could send a technician that day for a hefty weekend fee or come Monday for 90$ to evaluate. On Monday the technician arrived on time and took a look and stated that it was a problem he could fix, I asked how much, and he said that it would cost 90$ every 30 minutes until they could fix it, and he didn't know how long it would take to do so. I stopped him immediately and ask to call a supervisor who stated that was the rate and should take 1 hour or so but could be more, as "things can happen". I agree that if the cost be a maximum $180 then they could proceed. Within 5 minutes the technician stated that the problem was the building cooling tower and could not fix it and charged $90 for the consultation and left. The next day the company that services the ** for the cooling towers over the phone stated that it was impossible the cooling towers were the problem as all other apartments had **. They came and changed a small relay in the ** that was rusted, but only as a precaution as that was not the culprit, they cleaned the water drain that was blocked - a very SIMPLE ISSUE he explained -and all got solved, 30 min work! I called East Coast and asked to have a refund for the misdiagnosis, they never answered, left a message as well. They tried to trick an ignorant client in an attempt to overcharge, but when I stopped what clearly looked like a scam to try to take some money, they left with 90$ from me. This company is NOT TO BE TRUSTED as it behaves more like a fraud. I waited a few weeks to see if they would respond, but they did not.
