      Where to begin? My mother called to book our room and was booked for the wrong hotel. We were told because of our situation our voucher and process would get expedited. Its been a week later of me calling nearly every day to get a response from anyone, as they had promised. Were supposed to be checking in on Monday and now we have nowhere to stay. We also have extra Uber and Lyft expenses to pay for to reach our destination. The situation has completely gotten out of hand and they offer no compensation for an error that they did. Unfortunately, the gal who booked my mother used a nonrefundable promo for a hotel in a completely different area so its made it even more difficult trying to get a refund or change whatsoever. Again, no fault of ours when my mother has asked for a specific hotel. So now we have a flight to catch on Monday with no hotel to stay in, money being withheld ($192.24) and no signs of a voucher in sight. What was supposed to be an easy trip has now turned in to a major headache with no real responses from anyone. So now were eating the cost and scrambling to find something for Monday. Thanks for the terrible experience and lack of integrity.

      I called the hotel directly to make reservations under a block of rooms for a business meeting. I was assured that my reservation was under the block of rooms for the meeting. They requested my credit card and said it would not be charged until after my stay. I immediately received a text confirmation. My credit card was immediately charged for several hundred dollars over the quoted rate. When I called the hotel again, they said the booking was under a third party, Expedia. I checked with Expedia and found no booking. When I looked up numbers on the text confirmation, one of the numbers was associated with hotelplanner.com. Somehow hotelplanner.com hijacked my direct hotel booking and redirected it to hotelplanner.com. The BBB has over 500 similar complaints over the last 3 years.

      We received a notification that the booking amount has been disputed through your bank. Unfortunately, when a notice of a disputed charge is received, we are locked out of the refund process while the dispute is under review with the original merchant of record,

      This requires us to close your ticket pending the dispute investigation, which can take up to 90 days, and unfortunately, there is no manual override.

      If you have a letter from your bank/credit card holder stating the dispute is withdrawn, we can make the request for the dispute review to be closed early.

      This is what needs to be included in the dispute closed letter and emailed to *****************************

      MUST be a screenshot of a message in the banks online messaging portal or a photo of a letter on bank letterhead (Cannot be a forwarded email from a bank rep)
      MUST state cardholder dropped or withdrew the dispute
      MUST include the following info, which must match the charge info:
      Cardholder name
      Last four digits of card
      Amount of dispute

      If you can present this documentation, we can work to have your dispute closed earlier, but we cannot promise approval. Unfortunately, that is not our decision. We will contact you with a status update as soon as we hear back from the merchant of record for this booking.

      Vouchers are a joke! Embassy Suites couldnt honor the voucher of $224 because they didnt receive the money I paid. Voucher#****** I will never use this and warn others not to. *****************

      We needed to reserve with ******** for a trip to ****, ******. A search came up with a number we then called. To verify, we asked directly whether this was the Marriott, and the answer was "yes." We the booked. When we got to the hotel we were told we had not booked with ******** but with a third party, TravelPlanner, and we had paid $238 over ********'s rate. It is clear that TravelPlanner was impersonating Marriott reservations. Three direct emails to this company for a refund received no response at all.
