      If I could rate Hotelplanner.com "0 stars" I would. This business is predatory and deceitful. I made a reservation at an area hotel (for a visiting relative) and then called back within 24 hours to cancel because of immediate plan changes. I was told I would have to pay TWO-THIRDS the cost of the planned stay as a penalty. Yet when I made the reservation I specifically asked about getting a full refund and was told I had a month to cancel and receive that. I was not offered a fully refundable option (as some businesses do) - I was simply told that I had a month. But no - when I called to cancel I got the run-around and claims about the "property not waiving the penalty." I filed a complaint with my credit card, and I'll keep calling this business to demand a refund - but all I can say to anyone reading this is - AVOID Hotelplanner.com - they should be shut down!!

      When booking a trip to a Sheraton, I somehow inadvertantly booked through this bogus 3rd party business. It was a prepaid reservation with a "better rate". Upon arrival at my hotel at 1 am on the night of my husband and I's anniversary, we were informed by the hotel that they were unable to contact us because we had booked through this 3rd party "business", but that they had to relocate us for the night 15 minutes away to a subpar hotel due to a water issue. The hotel was gracious and we understand things happen. We were told our stay would be comped. That we needed to have this "business" contact them to issue our refund as they cannot do it directly. 2 weeks later and the only response I have received from this "business" is that they contacted the hotel and the hotel would not issue a "curtosy refund upon my cancellation". I explained this was not the case and again explained the situation. No one responded. I also tried starting a new ticket to address the issue. I received no response. The hotel maintains this "business" of a 3rd party must be who issues my refund. Refunds that take weeks to process. And I have received no word that they are working to process is 2 weeks after my disappointing stay.

      I own a motel and have had multiple guests book through this company. While booking, the person on the phone pretended to be an employee at the motel. They then charged $284 when the room should have only been $150. This company is scamming people and it's not fair. Just to be clear, we make the same profit whether people book through us or through this company. It just isn't fair that they are pretending to be a direct booking and then adding huge commissions on top.
