      We had a reservation at a *********** in ******** Va and got a text mail confirmation the day of check in. But when we arrived the hotel said that there was no virtual card for payment even though I had a confirmation showing fully paid. Apparently when we called the hotel, we thought we were talking directly with the hotel but it had been routed to HotelPlanner.com unbeknownst to us. We paid them with a credit card 35 days before checking in, only to find that they had not paid the hotel. Payment is by something called a virtual card which is common with third party bookings. We called them and have been waiting four hours for resolution - the hotel says we can check in if we pay them directly, but we had already paid. We have had 9 calls with hotelplanner.com trying to get them to send a virtual card payment with no duccess. You can never reach a supervisor and when we asked for them to call us all of their calls ( we used several different numbers) went directly to voice mail without the phone ringing. Strange. The hotel is graciously letting us use a room for now, but we will have to pay them to stay the night. *********** had 34 days to pay the hotel and did not. We can talk to no one because customer service staff cannot put a supervisor on line - they must call you back.and strangely you cannot receive their calls!

      Please don't book with these people. I had an experience where I had a convention, my husband and I are disabled veterans and so we called and we booked our hotel. I spoke with someone I could barely understand. I specifically asked for the hotel that was connected to the convention center, so we wouldn't have far to walk and as the weather was going to be bad that weekend. Well they booked me at the wrong hotel. When I got to the hotel, where I thought the reservation was, I find that it was at a different hotel so I called customer service, and explained the situation and they assured me 3 times; because I asked 3 times if I was going to get my refund; before I actually booked at the hotel that I wanted and I was assured that I would get my refund that it would take 5-10 business days for my refund to post to my account. After 10 days I called the company again and was told that they were escalating it, and I should hear back within 2-3 business days. Well I call back after the 3 days because I still had not received my refund nor a phone call. I called again today and I was told the same that I had been told before; that it was being escalated and within 2-3 business days where I would get it resolved and that I would receive a call or refund. Do not book with this company because if they mess up, you may be booked at the wrong hotel you are going to get the run around and probably not going to get your money back when they promise if you get it back at all. I'm still waiting!

      I booked a room for $444.85 with cancellation insurance for one night at the ******************. I immediately checked the hotels website and found the same room for one half of the price. I called the Hotel Planner and the agent said that he would match the price. He did not. I complained to the customer service and they only gave me $88.00 refund when I deserved $200.00. The customer service agent said that since I used the room, I was not entitled to a refund. I arrived at the hotel late and they gave my room away even though I advised that I was a disabled late check in. By me checking in late, I had no option but to use the hotel room that they found after giving my room away. I still deserve a price match.
