I had my unit broken into twice. All of my items were stolen and they refused to reimburse me for what was stolen. Its the worse storage company so beware if you plan on putting things in storage. My unit is in Georgia BTW, not in *******.

Every few months, they raise my rent 20 bucks. Only storage place remotely near me. Greedy fat pigs sitting in their corporate offices, don't do any improvements to the property, just to the guilded lining of their **************. SROA is the absolute worst storage company I've ever had the misfortune of utilizing. I absolutely hate that I have to still use your abysmal enterprise that has bought out all its competition. SROA, you ****. Sell out.

There is a lot to say about corporate greed today. I have had a 10x20 storage unit for a number of years because my apartment is too small and some things are not appropriate for an apartment, such as tools and lawn mower. The storage started out at $75 a month back on the year 2015 and then when I moved it 2 years ago the location of East Moline the price went up to $85 a month. Then last year the storage unit, a large place of long narrow yellow buildings by UTHS went up to $113 a month including insurance. This year the same corporation pushed the rent up to $128 a month for the same 10x20 storage unit. When I inquired why the answer was that the storage business down the road raised their rent so they thought they should do so also. Of course, we as seniors know that just because their neighbors raise their rent doesn’t mean that they have to raise their rent. This raise was from $85 to $128 is a big jump of $43 a month, which is taken out of my Social Security. Just because the amount of Social Security went up doesn’t mean that they have to raise the rent and take every last penny I have to live on. I can’t finance a move as they just took what I have to move with. This is discrimination against seniors and corporate greed.

I have patiently waited for 3 months for a refund from my Oct 3rd reservation. I called again and this time I spoke with someone at the center and they were extremely rude. I recently submitted a claim with my credit union to dispute this transaction as I have waited and with no avail, I have received no response. Other than the time frame to allow refunds (6-8 weeks). Unfortunately, it is in excess of that promised time. If this is how they conduct business I will never do business with them. I certainly would not recommend them to anyone. Within ***** hours after I paid a reservation fee they never contacted me, so I canceled. YES I am waiting on the reservation fee. NEVER RECEIVED A UNIT!!! I should have filed a dispute immediately, shame on me.

They bought out All Valley Storage locally. Nobody ( Past or present new owners) told us renters of the takeover. They are running a scam about insurane on each unit and required we have proof of coverage on our units., although they sent us several pages explaining they have no liability. We had to take in proof to a location on Jackrabbit Ln. to show we had insurance during the few hours weekly that they have a manager. I took it in person to the manager in mid October to prove I already had a policy. The manager was then to record it and notify I gave proof. A second letter was rceived saying without proof they would start automatically charging their minimum for one of their policies. I called the company the first week of November ************************************* my file the proof of insurance had been received. My auto bill payment jumped from$63.00 to $77.00 in December as they added insurance on the unit. When I called today(dec.22) they said their prices were increasing to $77.00 monthly as of Jan.1st and they had sent a letter about the increase on Nov. 22.. no such letter was ever received. They need to refund my $14.00, but said sorry and they would try to make sure it wasn't on my Jan. bill or any thereafter. They cannot even legally require us to buy their insurance anyway. They are scammers and have a lot of confusion when I call to complain and never seem to record any calls that I make. I also think they are required to notify their renters at least 60 days prior to making an increase in rates. They are a big dishonest conglomerate out of ******* . Thanks, *******************

Moved out by the date I was informed to move out to not get charged for the next month. Informed the person working in the ****** I was moved out. Told everything was good and they would check the unit shortly to verify it was empty. Was not asked to sign anything or do anything extra. 2 days later I called he ****** to verify my account was closed and told everything was closed. 8 days later they withdrew for another months rent. I contacted them over the phone and informed them i was no longer using the unit and cleared it with the person working the desk. Was told again it would be taken care of and I would be refunded. Two days later still no refund. 6 days after that I was sent an invoice again for the next month. Called the corporate ****** and was again informed it was a mistake and would be taken care of. Over a year later I receive a letter from a law firm/ collection agency demanding payment. Called the corporate ****** and they tell me they cant access my account since its been closed and I would need to contact the Lima rd ****** to get further information for my account. I call the Lima rd ****** during their normal business hours and no answer. I drive to the ****** during normal business hours and no one is there. I call their corporate ****** to see if someone is suppose to be there during their listed business hours and Im told yes someone should be there. At this point Im wondering if they are purposefully trying to steal money from people. This company is showing not being better business bureau(BBB)accredited with an F rating. Customer reviews are 1/5 stars with 24 complaints in the last 3 years and 13 complaints in the last 12 months. Soon to be 25 and 14 respectively.

My storage unit in Bozeman MT was broken into and everything was stolen. The thieves cut off my lock and replaced it with one of their own. Coincidently, SROA sells the same lock...
I had a 10x10 unit that I had been renting for a long time before SROA purchased the business, and I had 90% of my belongings in this unit. I had a motorcycle and multiple truck loads of stuff in my unit. It would have taken a big box truck or multiple trips with a smaller vehicle to get everything they took.
The day I noticed that there was a different lock on my unit, the property manager had the day off, so I called SROA and the customer representative told me that the only thing she could do was to email the district manager. He never made contact. I had to come back the next day, when the property manager was back in the office, to cut the lock off. 24 hours later I was finally able to solidify the fact that I had been robbed. I immediately called the police.
The local Police Department have filled a police report and requested the security footage from SROA. It has now been 5 weeks and SROA has still not provided any security footage to the police. SROA just keeps telling me that they are working on it. 5 weeks and they still have not released the security footage!
Also, my account was in good standing.
Please take my misfortune as a heads up.
I will never rent from SROA again.
