  Lulu was very helpful in setting up my storage unit. She showed me the facility and when I found out the larger unit I wanted was on the 2nd floor she helped get me two smaller units next to each other. Definitely recommend renting with them.

  I rent a 10x22 unit in ***********.I've been renting this for a number of years.It has since gone through 3 owner changes.Since SROA took over my rent has gone up to $168.00 a month.Their web site says a 10x22 is $117.00 a month..Since March of 2023 my rent has gone up $50.00 a month.This place is rip off to say the least.DoNOT,DO NOT rent from these people.I will be contacting a lawyer on this matter.

  As of 7/12/2024 I have not recieved my security deposit refund.Every time I contact SROA I get a different reason why I haven't got my refund.I e mailed them yesterday asking when I should expect it.No reply yet from *************************.

  This business is trash. They are rude and very unprofessional. My unit was almost ready to auction. I paid it up and had a zero balance then two days later had a charge to my credit card. And after figuring out what was going on. The as——e working there decided to charge my card without authorization cause he forgot to add this to my total. He said he e-mailed and texted me about it. I never received anything on this charge. So then I had another bill get a late charge cause I only put exact amount on my credit card. It is a prepay card. So whatever you do never put your card number for them to access. I hope this guy losses his job over this. Cause it has caused me a lot extra charges that I did not need at this time. And I have lost a lot of trust in people also.

  Mr. O***** has chosen to rent with SROA not once but 4 times dating back to 2019. The Property Manager had sent Mr O***** several emails (3)which are in the notes on the customer account informing him of the total he owed. The PM also tried to call the tenant to inform him but kept getting a recording that the customer has disconnected the call or the number is no longer a working number. He paid for all of it except for $13.77 which was the total amount that was charged to his card. When tenants pay out of auction status it is required that they purchase a new lock to secure their unit. Mr O***** never came to the property as requested to secure his unit until the card was charged for the lock. We cannot leave a unit unsecured.

  My card was charged without my consent. And price has more than doubled in 5 years. Staff if unprofessional and very hateful.

  I had a storage unit with SROA, they are to give a 30 day notice of a price increase. I received a notice dated 4/1/23 of an increase, however did not receive the actual letter in my possession until 4/14/23. Due to having to give them a required 30 day vacate notice, I ended up having to pay one month of their increased rate. I vacated the unit 5/23/23 and after many conversations with them via email and telephone I have still yet to receive my security deposit. Renters Beware!!

  I rented on a deal of 89$ for a year june 2020, I was also coherst into using their rental insurance. I asked if I should pay in advance for the year was lied to and told no you can pay month to month knowing perfectly well once in I'd get increases. I sold my home and had plenty of money, also wasn't explained about the insurance is not even insurance and they stonewall you for claims after their employees break and enter your unit during a supposed door change and ransacked the unit making it impossible for me to get in there for 2 yrs. I had to buy new stuff, on a fixed income cost tons in gas babysitting my unit which is supposed to be secured I asked when it happened to see tapes or know vendors they hired they lied because I asked to be there when doors changed we could barely open anyway. No management on property, left secure gate open 3 weeks, put their own locks on your unit, lock you out when you drive 4 hrs round trip to check your unit rent was paid Retaliatory actions because you complained, lie about going to take care of it when it took 17 months to speak to Corporate regional management, bully, threatened and intimidate a widowed handicapped women that was in and out of hospital and they knew it. Refuse for months to give me my ledgers, raise your rent 5 times in a yr, lock you out to pay your bill making me late for the 1st time in 2 1/2 years, call and harrass you, ************* doesn't even exist I've been paying over 3 yrs, 3 break ins I can prove, I have witnesses and recordings of calls, plus tons of pictures. Gaslighting criminals discrimination against your disabilities told me I had no accommodation rights in said *********, ******** Store Rentals of America. Tons of employees in and out because they can't keep help, all they do is lie and collect money and ignore legitimate complaints. Last summer they locked me out twice rent was paid, they were trying to harrass me out! I did nothing wrong, but be too patient! Straight up Criminals

  I have been renting from **** for the last 6 and a half years. I let my unit fall in default a few times within these 7yrs but has always came up with the money and the MANAGER that runs The ******* ******* division seems to hate when I came to pay the FULL AMOUNT, THE LATE FEES OF $30 AFTER 5 days the $100 after 30 days and the 2 or 3 months back pay, which use to be $125 a month and jumped to $180 a month no complaints. But every time I come to pay she tries to make an excuse to get my unit in auction statis. So after 7yra and 3 different companies taking over I finally fell on hard times due to loosing a job I had for the whole.time I had the **** unit and it came up for auction. I told them I wanted to get a smaller unit in February they told me I should of gave them a 10 day notice before the month was out, ok that's fair but I let another month go by now I'm in auction statis, I found the site where it was being auctioned and WONy unit for 230 which **** sent me a receipt for and went to retrieve my unit and she said that it was illegal and she wasn't going to sale it to me even if I did when them told me someone came paid online for it which it states on the RULES YOU HAVE TO BRING IN CASH so I asked how was that possible she kicked me out plusy Unit was empty before the AUCTION WAS OVER SO WHAT HAPPEN IF I WOULD OF CAME UP WITH THE CASH DIS THEY LET SOMEONE TAKE MY THINGS DID THEY DO A 'PERSONAL"sale out of ANGER I wanted question and was told I was being loud I think I got robbed by someone inside the company because AFTER 6 AND A HALF YRA THEY KNEW I had BRAND NEW CLOTHS BRAND NEW SHOES THEY KNEE I USE TO STORE A CAR IN THERE I just want to know why they did it and what happen to my things Children's toys from BIRTH pictures they threw in the garbage on the ground seriously but told me it was a ME PROBLEM NOT HER'S I left calmly and filed a Law suit because the things they took I had in there was PERSONAL TO ME Diplomas and Old Toys I had for my kids SMH.

  My belongings were moved from unit for no reason and auctioned off. After 2 weeks of talking to 8 different. People noone has offered any solution or explanation. I was told the district manager would call me. ***** has returned my calls. The office is never open. So I have file a civil suit now to be compensated for my loss.

  The worst storage unit company ever ! The sign on the door says theyre open, but the door is locked and nobody is at the front desk to help. **************** theyve contacted the Regional Manager and the District Manager and nobody has been answering for 30+ minutes. Somebody should definitely be in the lobby at all times DURING BUSINESS HOURS !

  THE WORST EVER! Friday 5/19/2023 I reserved a unit at Hallandale Beach Self Storage (a Storage Rentals of America facility) on-line, followed immediately by a phone call from SROA who provided info about their rental agreement, so I completed the rental process, paid first rental with a credit card & was told to go the facility office the next day so they can unlock the unit I rented & give me my new lock for it, but advised to call the office before going there (found out that was because there is no one working there every day). I called the next morning & following days a few of times, but was immediately transferred to SROA customer service each time. When I complained that I can't reach anyone to give me access to my unit, I was told the facility is having staffing issues. I said this is unacceptable & that I want to cancel the rental agreement & get a refund for the payment I made. They said they will give my message to the regional manager. The next day, I got a call from the Hallandale Beach facility to get access to my unit. I wasn't home & couldn't go there & that the delay in access & no communication from them was unacceptable & I already rented a unit elsewhere & to cancel the rental with them & refund what I paid. They said they can't credit my credit card & will send a check which doesn't include the $29 administration fee. I disputed that since they failed to provide any access or service & was told they'll tell the district manager. To date, 6-8-2023, I haven't received a check or any communication from them.
