In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting act. I sent a Debt VERIFICATION letter to this company Trident Asset Management in which they received on June 30th. They responded with a letter stating they were collecting a debt for another agency called Orion or something. They sent a foggy billing statement which they stated was a last bill. I sent a second letter requesting VALIDATION in which I received no response. I contacted this company on Sept 1, 2022, inquiring if a VALIDATION letter was sent out in response to my VALIDATION request. The representative stated that there will be no other correspondence sent to me after my FIRST request for this company to VALIDATE the debt. As stated in 15 U.S. code 1692e(10) is anything you deem false and deceptive with evidence. The statement they sent was deceptive and false. This company has chosen to continue to extort me for money on BEHALF of another company. REALLY?? I HAVE NO CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY TRIDENT ASSET nor do I have a contract with the company that has them extorting money from me! TRIDENT ASSET has failed to provide my signature proving I have done so. I demand this company cease and desist from continuing to invade my individual privacy by knowingly furnishing false and inaccurate credit information to the credit reporting agencies(TRANSUNION, EQUIFAX AND EXPERIAN). I never contracted with this company whatsoever!! WHERE IS THE SIGNED CONTRACT TO THIS FRAUDULENT BILLING STATEMENT? I note that Trident Asset Management has placed a collection account on my personal credit report with Equifax and Transunion in the amount of $2,916 account 900954XXXX. This reporting is a clear violation of my consumer rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Trident Asset Management provided zero notice to me prior to reporting this account. I do not and have never signed a contract with this company or engaged in a business relationship with them. Following my formal dispute of this account, the company has failed to provide any proof of their right to ************ information on my credit report. This egregious violation of my rights has unfairly affected my credit reports and my attorney has advised that I have the right to file suit against your company and I have reached out to the ************************************ for your company falsely reporting in violation of my rights. The $940.28 debt in question is the balance on a Milestone MasterCard account. On 6/03/2020, Trident received a letter from ****************** requesting to satisfy this debt in the amount of $450.00, on 8/27/2020, ****************** contacted Trident requesting a reduce balance to satisfy the debt, she was advised the debt could be satisfied in the amount of $750.00. ****************** contacted Trident again on 02/10/2022 and stated that she would begin making payments toward the $750.00 reduced balance. As of this date, Trident has not received any payments towards this debt. After review of this complaint, Trident forwarded this complaint to our client for their review. Our client has advised us that we can close this account. This account is now closed, and Trident has submitted instruction to the credit bureaus to delete the derogatory tradeline regarding this debt.
