      My son has a diagnosis of Hypocalcification. This means his two front teeth did not develop enamel on the adult buds. When the teeth erupted, my son has suffered severe ****************** to cold & heat making it very difficult to eat & drink. The sensitivity is due to lack of enamel exposing the nerves. Our pediatric dentist Magic Smiles utilized a temporary filling which continued to break off monthly. This was covered by insurance, but due to frequency of need (breaking off) we were referred to adult dentistry ***************** to apply a semi-permanent veneer until his mouth is done growing. The dentist has been amazing & changed my sons life as the veneer lasts quite awhile & protects him from exposing his nerves & causing severe pain. We had this done 2xs on 7/23/19 & 11/30/22 for a re-touch as the veneer is temporary ****ars down. This requires a touch up to cover the nerves. We are charged $442.00 each time. Delta continues to deny our appeals, they have not been able to engage in a conversation & when asked to speak to a supervisor, they leave me on hold for 45min plus. They have transferred my call & re-route me to a general line, again waiting for about an hour. My dentist has filed formal appeals, they have closed the appeal with no contact. They have filed appeal 12/12/20 & more recently June 2023. I have called again 6/30/23 & unprofessional manner leaving me on the phone. My sons need for a veneer is not cosmetic, although it is considered a cosmetic material, the etiology of this veneer is deemed medically necessary by his **************** We have minimal dental risks, we do not require high level of ********** **** have complied with their contract requirements.       On May 9th i filed a grievance appeal with Delta dental my dental insurance company for a denial of my claim #************** appeal case # APP-****** my policy # ************ . They are stating that i have a waiting period of 1 year for my policy, I moved from ** to ** in September 2022 and moved my Delta Dental insurance from state to state My ** policy # was ************, witch i had for a few years. When i called them the told me the would switch everything over as of 10/01/2022 and i would get a new id # and that the cost would go up a few dollars they never said any thing about a hole new policy and a waiting period and i spoke to three reps and they mailed me paper work with my new card . Nothing said any thing about a new waiting period. I have paid my priemums for years with them and there was no break in coverage just change of adress and state ,i have tried to resolve this with them and they say my coverage started 10/01 2022 and that is it. I feel they where deceptive in there info and i would have gone to a different company if they had told me i would have to wait a year for major coverage when i changed my adress with them

      My wife had her wisdom teeth removed nearly 4 months ago and delta dental has not paid the claim. For whatever reason, they will not communicate with the dental office that provided the service. When I called the first time, they had received the claim and had it for weeks, but no one had even looked at it to begin processing. It was allegedly expedited to the processing department. When I called back a few weeks later, delta dental said they were waiting on something from the office regarding the procedure, if they needed something from the office, why didn't they pick up the phone and call them? So I had the dental office send them the information they needed and it was received and sent it on to the processing team again two weeks ago and I still have not heard anything in regards to the unpaid bill which now should be accruing interest, but due to the compassion and understanding of the dental office that did the procedure, they have waived because they know the amount of effort i have put in resolving this issue. Just pay the claim!!!

      RE ENROLLEE ID ************ On Apr 27 Delta Dental/AARP was notified, in writing, the dental insurance plan was cancelled.That is attached hereto.On May 22, in response to their utter disregard of such by continuing to mail invoices for a plan we stopped last month, we took the time of our own busy schedule to call them on their self published customer service line since their website failed to no avail for self service.This number cuts off callers with a dead end message saying to contact employer for help with the plan which we never had one to to begin with.They just give the runaround and their operations are broken.

      I have Delta Dental as my dental insurance provider and have for several years through different employers. I went to my dentist to have some extensive work done because my mouth was hurting, roots and nerves were exposed making it painful to eat. I also had decay on some of my teeth. My dentist did an examination, x rays, cleaned teeth and filled some of my teeth where there was decay and where roots and nerves were exposed. I paid $858.40 the day of service for my portion. Per my benefit summary it states cleaning and exam is covered, restorative is covered 50 to 80 percent, once per tooth per 24 months. I have had insurance with them for over 4 years and have not been so the 24 months is covered. They are denying me any coverage above the cleaning and examination leaving me additional bill of ******. Per the denial, they said the work performed was due to worn teeth and not decay. This is incorrect as some were decayed. No where on my summary does it say that worn teeth are not covered. My dentist submitted a handwritten explanation the procedure was necessary due to the nerves and roots exposure. Again, my benefit summary clearly states restorative work is covered 50 to 80 percent, once per tooth per 24 months. I need them to pay their portion as I paid mine.My dentist retires June 1st so there is an urgency. Also, my credit is at risk. My dental services were done in March. I have requested manager call twice, received no call back.

      I received a bill from my dental provider. I specifically verified with Delta Dental that full x-rays would be covered, and they denied the claim. I called in and was advised that I can "write a letter" to appeal, and send it to a PO Box. What a monumental waste of my time. I have never been more disappointed in an insurance company and have spent at least a dozen hours dealing with searching for a provider (your website is highly inaccurate) and actually having the product work.       I needed an extraction & waited 2 1/2 weeks for an appointment. I went in and the dentist told me he was too busy to do an ***************** me to their traveling oral surgeon. I waited another two weeks. When I saw the oral surgeon I told him I just wanted the extraction and wasnt doing the treatment plan they made for me. He said he couldnt do just the one and had to also extract a broken tooth that I was having no problems with. $1000 and I pay half. I told them I could only afford the one right now and he refused to extract it unless I had the other done too.

      Delta Dental Insurance posted false, deliberately misleading information on their website that led me to choose their dental plan.According to the information on their site, my Delta Dental plan covers 90% of Dental Prophylaxis and 90% of Topical Fluoride Treatment for non-participating dentists. However, they do not. I took my daughter to the dentist and received an explanation of benefits from Delta Dental that showed they had paid less than 50% of her Dental Prophylaxis and less than 40% of her Topical Fluoride Treatment.When I filed a query asking why they had paid so little, they sent me an auto-response saying that they pay less for non-participating dentists than for participating dentists. They also marked the query as resolved. However, as I said, the information on their site about my specific plan (which was the "high" plan) says that they pay 90% for these services by non-participating dentists.I submitted a follow-up query and received a phone call in response. The person on the phone told me that "90%" does NOT refer to the actual amount they are billed, but to some arbitrary amount decided by Delta Dental. This is false advertising. Had I known this information, I never would have signed up for this plan, which was supposed to be the "high" plan. In my opinion, they should NOT be allowed to advertise 90% on their website, and should change their plan descriptions to list only the approved amount - $49 for a cleaning, $24 for fluoride, etc.

      My insurance card is attached (member ID # **********. The date of service was 5/9/2023.

      Please note I am not looking for an explanation from Delta Dental that my provider was out of network or that the 90% they cover is NOT 90% of the actual cost of the service, but rather 90% of a fee schedule determined by Delta Dental (which isn't even 50% of the cost of the actual service).

      I would consider this situation resolved if Delta Dental commits to correcting their false advertising for this plan on their site. They should not be permitted to advertise that the plan pays for 90% of routine cleanings when the plan only pays $44 for cleanings. They need to be transparent about what their fee schedule is and that the 90% figure listed is for that, not for 90% of what the services cost.

      My Dentist keeps submitting my X-rays for Dental work i am having done. Delta Dental keeps declining the request for what needs to be done.Everything is covered but Delta Dental is run incompetently from day one I was switched to them. I have watched the ************** send required x-rays and full make up and they keep denying me. Once again the x-rays were sent in on May 3 and Delta Dental keeps saying April 11th was when they received the last request. NOT I was there when he sent them. I am now 4 months into this and my teeth are basically rotting away. I filed a grievance yesterday May 11th with Devoted core. Delta Dental is nothing but a rip off . I will do whatever I can to have them barred from doing business in the ****************.

      On December 6th, my daughter had her wisdom teeth removed. Delta Dental is her primary dental insurance provider, and ****************** is her secondary provider. ***** Dentistry, our dentist's office has tried three separate times to submit the claim for the procedure and each time it has been denied. I have talked to Delta Dental on the phone after each failed attempt to try to understand what was wrong. ***** Dentistry has also talked with Delta several times trying to understand why the claim is being denied. Each time, making the change to the submitted form that was suggested by Delta. However, Delta has still denied the claim stating that there is "missing primary coverage" information. Delta is the primary insurance for my daughter. Neither I or ***** Dentistry understand why the claim is being denied and Delta has not provided direction as to what is needed to get it approved.Following the multiple failed attempts by ***** Dental to collect from Delta, they are now requesting I pay the $1749 bill out of pocket. This needs to be resolved as I am not able to pay that amount out of pocket. The three failed claim submissions have ************************************************
