      I have traveled to ********, ****** to receive a root canal treatment for my tooth because it is very difficult to find an endodontist that works with Delta Dental Insurance company. While in the office, the dentist also treated two of my teeth with fillings. I am entitled to claim this expense but my claim has been denied twice without any explanation. I called them after the first denial and they explained I had not entered the amount I paid in the correct box even though everything was explained clearly in my statement. And that the codes weren't correct. I told them that dentists in other countries do not use the same kind of codes as in the US but the agent said, "if you submit a claim in the US, you need to do it in our way." Such a discriminatory statement. I paid for root canal, fillings and cleaning and that is clearly stated on the receipt which I converted.Anyway, I sent in another form and a new statement that clarifies everything (all attached here), yet they once again denied the claim with no explanation. I called again but this time I was not able to receive a proper explanation. The representative said something about missing receipt which is not correct (attached here, too). It seems as if they will find any excuse to deny claims. I do not think that their denial without any written explanation at all is legal.

      The response from the business is not a real response. It merely tells us that they need 30 days to respond. And you write that you will close this case in 7 days. I hope that it doesn't become a loophole for the business and that BBB will keep this case open until the business responds properly to my complaint rather than "we'll respond later."

      I am writing to file a formal complaint against Delta Dental Company regarding the mishandling of a refund following the cancellation of my dental insurance policy on February 9, 2024. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue directly with the company, I have not received the refund as outlined in the policy contract.On February 9, 2024, I was informed by Delta Dental Company's representative that the refund would take 10 business days to be processed and mailed to me. However, as of March 4, 2024, I have yet to receive the refund, which is in clear violation of the terms specified in the policy contract. According to the contract, refunds are to be issued within 10 business days of policy cancellation.During my attempts to follow up on the status of the refund, I have received conflicting information from Delta Dental Company's customer service representatives. Initially, I was informed that the refund check was issued on February 27, 2024. However, during a subsequent call, an agent named ***** stated that the check was issued on February 28, 2024, only to retract this statement and claim that it was issued on March 1, 2024. This inconsistency in communication is deeply concerning and suggests a lack of transparency and accountability on the part of Delta Dental Company.Given the gravity of the situation, I am seeking your intervention to ensure that Delta Dental Company resolves this matter promptly and under the terms outlined in the policy contract. I request that the Better Business Bureau investigate this issue thoroughly and take appropriate action to hold Delta Dental Company accountable for its actions.I appreciate your attention to this matter and trust that the Better Business Bureau will work diligently to help resolve this dispute. I look forward to your prompt response and a resolution that is fair and satisfactory.

      I am rejecting this response because this is the third date I have received from this company regarding this same check . When I originally canceled delta dental  stated it would take 10 business day from February 9, 2014.  I call ten business days later February 23 2024 Agent told me that the check was never issued until on February 17,  and would be received in 10 business days. I called back the march 1st they agent stated they were unsure and I would just have to wait . Now that I requested help  the better business bureau, the date is set back once again. Im being jerked around and over 1000 dollars is a lot of money.

      I enrolled in the DeltaCare *** plan and was issued the Enrollee ID: ************. The policy was soon after cancelled, with a request that the "unearned premium" be refunded to me. To date no refund has been received. I have made four (4) calls to the insurer regarding the status of my refund, and I was advised that a refund check in the amount of $98.08 was issued to me in or about December 2023. On January 16, **** I advised an agent for the insurer that I had no record of the payment and requested that the check be cancelled and the refund re-issued (Confirmation No. SF****0116477091276). I was advised that process would take **** business days. I have yet to receive the re-issued check and upon a subsequent follow up I was advised that their system reflected the original check had already been cashed. I immediately requested that a copy of the front and back of the check be e-mailed to me for examination, and I was advised that would occur same day. The alleged cashed check was never provided, nor have I received a return call from a manager as subsequently requested. At this point, I feel that a violation of the law has occurred with respect to the issuance of refunds and I feel completely ignored and dismissed by Delta Dental. NOT a recipe for a positive public image:(. I hereby demand the issuance of my refund check WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY!

      We have filed a claim since May 9th with delta dental. I have been calling every month since October. Most recently the dental office sent the insurance the requested information via mail. The dental insurance told me on Dec. 21 that they did receive the package and the claim was in process. I found out on January 2nd the claim was denied for the third time after the insurance mailed back the package to the dentist with another denial requesting the same information that was literally in the package. Included in that package was xray results for another patient. The dental office said they will be reporting them to the dental commissioners office for violation of HIPPA. I called insurance again to find out what happened. Today they say they dont have any record of getting that package that they mailed back to the dentist. The dentist is refusing to send them anything else as this is the third time resubmitting the claim. They refuse to transfer me to a supervisor and tell me they can only put in a request to speak to a supervisor. I have put in 4 request over the last 4 months and no one has called me. I have emailed. I have filed a grievance. I reached out to the **************** and have also filed a complaint with them against the dental insurance. I pay every month for this insurance and not a single person I have talked to cares about resolving this issue.

      Here is the more information. 

      I am following up on the grievance that I filed with Delta Dental for my dependant ********************* DOB 12.13.08 claim number 20233523009635, as well as with the BBB, the **************** insurance commission.
      I am now following back up because my claim now shows some payment for 500 dollars but I believe this is incorrect. The submitted fee is not ****, but should be ****. As you can see for the other 2 claims that had been submitted for the same thing (since weve had to do this three times now) the submitted fee was **** so why has it now changed to ****? This is an error. Please do what you need to do to correct this.

      December 3rd 2023 I paid the insurance premium through the end of January **** (I have a screenshot stating this). I had a routine care dentist appointment December 6th that I went to. Delta dental denied the claim. I paid for coverage that delta is not providing.

      I purchased Delta Dental insurance in August 2023 for $150 plus $10 admin fee. When I tried to use it the provider wouldn't provide the basic cleaning. I spoke with Delta and requested refund. They refused to refund my money so I selected a different provider. Went to that provider and was told that my coverage had been cancelled because I didn't pay the premium. The $150 was the total for the year. I emailed Delta and called them several time. To date I haven't received any response from them.

      Unauthorized credit card billing. I cancelled this insurance policy by removing the payment method from my on-line account. I started another dental insurance plan two months prior to cancellation of AARP Delta Dental. I was surprised to see a credit card charge from AARP Delta Dental after removal of my credit card info. Called, and they noted I can only cancel AARP Delta Dental by calling them on the phone. The representative agreed to send me a check for $44.84 in ten days, on 26DEC23. He could not refund the amount to the credit card fradulantly billed.

      The *************** selected Delta Dental as the insurance provider for city employees effective January 2022. An orthodontic claim was filed on September 29, 2022 for invisilines. Delta Dental made slow payments instead of paying their portion in full. The balance remaining is $3200.00.

      In June of 2022, my daughter, ***************************, insured by Delta Dental of **, through me ID ************, was visiting her grandmother in ********* and started having acute pain from her wisdom teeth. We saw a surgeon and he recommended excision of the wisdom tooth (everything has been explained in English and in detail to Delta ever since July 2022), She underwent surgery in ************. We paid the surgeon ****** pesos **********, the equivalent to approx. USD ****. I have been doing the follow-up, but they put me on hold, then I get transferred, and transferred again and they make me explain the whole story time and time again. This si their trick so I get tired and stop asking for a refund. I have sent them the papers two times by certified mail. They promise they will get back to me and they never do. I want to be refunded for all these expenses I have incurred through the two years that I have been calling them and they have played with me.
