  Root canal failed. Went back to see what could be done. Got a 2nd opinion which was much lower in cost than what was initially purposed. Dentist submitted the claim and was denied, even tho he did exactly what needed to be done. Delta Dental has refused to cover the claim which has been sent in 4 times (DD even told the dentist how to write up the last claim) but to no avail. This is a piece of s--t company. When I went to pay the claim $720, the lady helping me said that they have never had so many denials from Delta Dental as they have had since Covid. Even their legal department couldn't believe they were denying the claim. Go ANYWHERE but here.

  They need to STEP UP THEIR GAME. I've been under ******** ******** since the Covid pandemic, and SOMEHOW they started sending me BILLING NOTICES of $900., $400, and $90 over Feb, March, and recently April, for an individualized plan I'd CANCELLED multiple times, because I'm ALREADY COVERED under Delta ********.... But their screwball system. Telling me I need to wait out the 90 days for this nonsense to "expire". It's not rocket science. Cancel the dumb policy and stop billing me! Calls to their so-called "support" have been garbage runaround. NONE OF THEM knowing what to do, yet still collecting a paycheck. I've never known of such incompetence. Go elsewhere to a company AND coverage who KNOWS WHAT THE **** THEY'RE DOING.

  Absolutely horrible customer service. I submitted a claim twice now and called no less than five times. Everytime they are pleasant and completely inept. I can't seem to escalate or file a complaint. Still no reimbursement or request for additional info or explanation. The end result of today's call was to submit the claim again into the void. Useless. We are stuck with this company because it is our employer's plan but if you have a choice I urge you to go elsewhere.

  NEVER BUY DELTA DENTAL INS through AARP! If you have a problem, your out the money! They s**** around with the case until it runs out of time. NEVER AGAIN!

  There are not enough expletives to accurately describe how much I hate this company. They say they cover preventative treatments at 100% but they set the limit so low that I would be better off not having dental insurance at all. I called to file a complaint with the company and if you will believe it, THEY DO NOT ACCEPT COMPLAINTS. This completely blows my mind.

  After cancelling insurance with the company once I moved to a different state, company automatically signed me up for an insurance policy in the previous state two years after I left. After calling the company and getting the run around, I found out the states health care system automatically enrolled me. I got that all canceled and was told I wouldn't be charged. Now, I have a surprise insurance bill on an account that I NEVER signed up for nor got notification that it was even renewing! (And it took an entire year after cancellation before it automatically renewed itself). This company is a scam! Don't enroll with them you'll be stuck with them forever!

  Delta Dental should not be in business. I am unable to log onto their website. I have messaged and called them many times, but I only receive auto-bot replies, never help or an answer. The customer service is non-existent to the point that the company is fraudulent. I wish zero stars were an option.

  THE absolute WORST company I've ever dealt with for anything. Terrible coverage, almost IMPOSSIBLE to cancel. They hold you hostage contract ***********'t used them for years yet have had to continue to pay them.AWFUL DO NOT RECOMMEND.

  Terrible service more of a scheme every month my card will be automatically charged so I'm thinking my insurance is covered then when I get to the dentist it's not this have happened to me twice do not purchase they service terrible

  I called to cancel on 1/26/23, was assured they would not take any money out for the auto pay I had set up over the years I did have them. They told me no, they would not take out any money. I received a cancellation confirmation email that same day. Beginning of February they took money out, I called them and was told the representative I originally spoke to had missed a step. He escalated it and I was told they would put the money back. Well I received another cancellation email and 12 days later I've still not received my money back. As far as I'm concerned they are scammers!!!
