We made a deposit and signed a contract with this company. Once they took position of the (2) cars we were told the price had increased and if we didn't agree within 15 minutes the cars would be offloaded into a undisclosed storage location and rent would be charged for each car until we agreed. They proceeded to send a 2nd document with the almost double amount. We were already away from the cars and needed them in our location in ** so we "Under Duress" signed the 2nd contract. We got scammed and want to prevent other from being in the same situation as us going forward. We would also love to only pay the Original $1,850 vs the actual paid $3,420.

    Complaint Response for Order ******** - ****** ******

The ****** charge is valid per contract signed 6 6 2025 from IP 174 198 64 103. Attached proofs invoice contract *** dispatch sheet delivery receipt and email confirmation demonstrate full service completion. This pattern of disputes constitutes abuse. Request immediate case closure in our favor with ***** bank fee reimbursement.

I am rejecting this response because:
Never did they acknowledge the original contract amount that was stated in the previous note.

I stated the amount nearly doubled once they had both cars in there possession and rold us we need to pay the increased amount or the cars would be off-loaded and placed in a storage location. This would have been bad enough but er were then told we would not be given the storage location address.

I believe this was very deceptive and this practice needs to be stopped.
    Sincerely,

    **** ******

    Business Response

We respectfully disagree with the customers continued claims. The contract signed on June 6, 2025, clearly outlined the base rate and terms, including the possibility of additional charges based on delivery conditions, route changes, or carrier availabilityall of which were transparently explained and acknowledged via email the same day. The final amount of $700.00 is consistent with industry-standard pricing for two-vehicle transport and fully documented in the contract and communications provided.
At no point were the vehicles held hostage or threatened with being off-loaded into storage without communication. Both the 2017 **** Explorer and 2020 ****** Corolla were delivered promptly on June 12, 2025, with signed proof of delivery and Bill of Lading. The claim about not disclosing the storage address is untrue and unsupported by any documentation.
We have provided all relevant documentationincluding the signed agreement, invoice, email correspondence, dispatch records, and delivery confirmationsto demonstrate that the service was completed professionally and in full alignment with the agreed-upon terms. The customers pattern of filing multiple disputes across platforms despite full service delivery raises concerns of misuse.
We request this complaint be marked as resolved, as the transaction and service were fulfilled as contracted.

I am rejecting this response because:

Once again no mention of the original contract amount and then the Change order once you were in control of the cars.

As far as your response the attached email taks about reloading the cars once we signed the revised amount. Plus all conversation are on a recorded line so you may want to retract your statement.

The elephant in the room is still one price when contacted then a massive increase once the cars were under your control. This xan been seen as to when the cars were loaded and when then communicated chage order was sent.

I believe this is extreme poor business one the fringe of compete fraud.

    Sincerely,

    **** ******

I signed an agreement (order # ********) on April 28, ***** with CheapAutoTrans to transport my car. While the car was in transit, I received an email saying that I had 10 minutes to sign a change order paying CheapAutoTrans an additional $300 or my car would be put in storage at $95 per day for about 15 days and a phone call demanding an additional $100 via Zelle to pay to get my car out of storage. When my car was finally delivered, the driver confirmed that my car had not been in storage and that he was the driver from ****** to *******, contrary to what I was being told by CheapAutoTrans personnel. Please see the attachment for additional information.

This company agreed to arrange shipment of my car from ** to **. Two days after the scheduled pickup date they called and said the driver had mechanical problems and could not pickup the vehicle. I was then told they could get a drive if I was wiling to pay 700 dollars. I had already paid the broker 125 dollars and was to pay the driver and additional 450 dollars on delivery. I would not agree to this and requested my 125 dollars be refunded, The dispatch manager said they had spent some on the ****** and could not refund me the upfront payment. All of the afore listed transactions and agreement were done by email and I have a copy of them. I am of the opinion they were dishonest and knew from the beginning they would be requesting more money.

Contacted dealer to transport vehicle. contract signed. Less that 24 hours before scheduled pickup was asked to pay increased fee because he said the driver wanted more money. He threatened to cancel my shipment if I did not agree to an increased rate. Having no other option that close to my move I did agree to an increased fee if he absorbed part of the increased rate, and I did part of it. The car is now late by more than 5 days and has yet to be delivered. This has left me with no transportation in a city all the way across the country while starting a new job. I have incurred significant extra expenses from this delay. No one contacted me to make me aware of the delay, I only found out because my car's tracking system showed it sitting in the same spot in ********** for several days. I then inquired as to why my vehicle was stationary for several days. The driver was unresponsive, the broker at cheapautotrans reached out to me a day later with an update. I was told the truck transporting my vehicle broke down and given the number for Iver auto transport because the broker at cheapautotrans told me that was who they had ship my car. Even though delays happen, I should have at the very least been contacted and informed of this. I found this lack of communication and changing terms on a contract less than 24hrs prior to pick up time highly unprofessional. The fact that I was not informed was unacceptable and their practices in general I found to be predatory and borderline extortion. I would not use this company again or recommend them to anyone in good faith. When I asked at the very least they refund my deposit to make things right they declined to do so or take any form of accountability whatsoever and he said it was "just my bad luck".

Telemarketing- almost daily this company is calling and text messaging me offering their services. I keep asking them to stop contacting and remove me from their contact list. It does not help. Over a year of this and it is getting extremely exhausting. They contact me from a new phone number each time, so blocking them does no good. I feel harassed and the only option I have at this point is to change my phone number that I have had for 20 years. I utilized their services one time in April of 2023 to transport a vehicle and completed the transaction at that time. I have never expressed further interest in conducting business with them since. Consideration has been made to discuss my options with an attorney against Cheap Auto Trans.

I started working this company on June 3, 2024. They provided me a quote for 755 to ship my nonoperable vehicle. Immediately the price increased after I paid $200 deposit. I told them the increase is an absorbed amount. I received a new reason almost everyday why the cost would be. Good thing I didn't sign the final contract. I asked them refund my deposit. Asked on the quoted price has changed significantly.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/20/2024

    Dear *********************,

Thank you for reaching out and bringing this matter to our attention. We value your feedback and the opportunity to address your concerns.

We would like to clarify the situation regarding the shipping of your non-operable vehicle. Upon your initial request on June 3, 2024, we provided a quote of $755 based on the current market rates and the details of your shipment. After you paid the $200 deposit, we worked diligently to secure a driver for your vehicle.

Due to unforeseen market fluctuations and the specific requirements for transporting a non-operable vehicle, the cost increased, and we communicated these changes to you promptly. We understand that the revised quotes and reasons for the adjustments might have been frustrating. Despite our efforts to find a suitable driver within the initial quoted price, the evolving circumstances necessitated these changes.

We acknowledge that you declined the service after the price adjustments and chose not to sign the final contract. As a gesture of goodwill and in light of your dissatisfaction, we have processed a refund of your $200 deposit, even though our policy typically does not cover refunds in such situations where a driver was provided and subsequently declined.

We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may have caused and appreciate your understanding. Our goal is to provide transparent and reliable service to all our customers. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your time and understanding.
    Best regards

I made a $200 deposit the with Cheap Auto Trans in April for my car to be shipped May 2024. 1 day before it was set to be picked up I received a text message saying they had not found a carrier within the price range they originially quoted me for which was $585. The new quote was for $1000. When I disputed such a large difference they said give them a few more days to lower the cost. It has been a few days and with no resolve. They are not a great company to work with at all. I do not recommend.
