On March 14, 2024, I started communicating with ***************************** of Cheap Auto Trans. I requested that they ship my vehicle from ***************, *** to ******, **. ***************************** told me that the driver would be in **. on Saturday March 16, 2024 and could pick our vehicle up between 11:00 and 2:00. I was provided with the cost and an itemized list of the charges. I was told a $190 was due now and the remaining at delivery. We ultimately decided that the vehicle would be picked on Monday March 18, 2024 and delivered on Tuesday with the latest being Wednesday. The payment of $190 was made on March 15, 2024. On Monday March 18, 2024, I received a message from ***************************** who claimed the driver was stuck in Copart, Va. picking up an inoperative vehicle which has delayed the driver. Initially, he wanted to schedule a time later in the evening which we agreed to. However, he contacted us asking if they could pick the vehicle up the following day (Tuesday) which we agreed. After four days of going back and forth on why the driver has yet to pick up the vehicle, ***************************** told us we needed to give this company another $450 if we wanted our vehicle delivered. According to *****************************, the driver assigned to pickup our vehicle was not dependable and was a bad driver. The only option he gave us was to pay $450 additional dollars. We declined because more than four days had passed and our vehicle had not been retrieved. We asked for a refund which ***************************** agreed to. He told us that our refund request was going to the appropriate department and we should receive our refund within three days. We have called to check on the status of our refund and the company is not answering the phone. To date, we have not received our refund. Company offered to transport my vehicle for $325 and sent a quote for that amount. Was by a rep by the name of ************ Once he got all my info, he quickly stated that if I paid more he could ship my car that day. I told him thanks but was not interested in a higher price. I told him that I would wait until he could ship at the stated rate. One week later he said that rate wasnt likely to happen and if I paid more then he could have it picked up asap. He offered to pay a portion of the higher rate adn I agreed due to him saying that he would pay $50 to drop the rate. The new quote was $100 greater than the original quote - with the included $50 payment on his side. I agreed to price and a change order was sent. He stated that vehicle would be picked up that day, which it was and it would be delivered that night. Driver called and stated they couldn't deliver that day and would drop the next day, I was ok with that. Transport driver arrived and stated that I owed $350, even though the receipt/change order that I received from Cheap auto stated it would be $325. I attempted to contact ****, but he did not respond. The driver would not release the vehicle until I paid his higher amount, he also didn't give me a receipt. I paid the $350 so I could get my vehicle. I text **** the next day about refunding me the amount owed, no response, I sent an email to **** and no response, I sent a 2nd text to **** and no response. I'm requesting that the company honor the contract that I had and pay the difference.Initial Complaint

Hello, I did a online car shipping quote with cheap auto Trans. They quoted me $725 to shipping my truck for me with $225 deposit. That I sent on March 16th. They set a date, then they never showed up. Then they tell me they have no driver& that now it will be $1500 now. So I decided to wait too ship it. I ask for a refund. & they said they was gonna process refund. I received a email saying 4 to 5 days. And I still haven't received it. They keep telling me to be patient with my money that I work hard for. Now they saying it's the holiday making it late. But I request a refund way before the holiday. 1/5/24 *********** charged a booking fee of $150 without disclosing it in my contract or verbally. They strung me along with supplying me a driver after I booked 2 weeks in advance on Dec. 21, 2023. The original quote was for $385 and the day of no one came for that price. He called me to inform me it would be double what he quoted me. The price to ship my car now was a total of $750. They said they would give me $100 off for their mistake but then tried to say the total was $850. The driver is charging me $600 total to ship my car, so I asked the company where does the $100 discount they offered me come off from? Because the driver wants $600 upon delivery. This is when they tried to say the price was actually $850 but they **** up my contract and I signed for $750. My car was scheduled to be picked up at 1/4/24 and nobody came. I emailed them and he texted me. He gave me a number to a driver that told me he would be there by 2-3 and then immediately texted back saying his truck broke down.I want my money back and it to be on file that this company is doing fraudulent business.Customer Answer

This was a scam, on November 11th I contacted *************************, debla cheap auto trans transportes companies to get my vehicle, from that day he made a commitment and I made an advance payment of $150, and the days passed and ******* could never get a driver. And I told him that for fvor they would return my deposit of 150. And still I keep waiting and he does not return my money, he just always makes excuses and when I try to call the company of this number **********. They don't help me with my problem. Had contract a month in advanced Signed. The car was to be picked up in MD and taken to ******* *******. I left MD the day before the pickup date. Had a rental car at the time. While in route after leaving the car for pickup I got a call from ***************************** the Broker telling us if we did not pay an xtra $250.00 on top of signed agreement they would not pickup the car. The car was going to be towed if not picked up as agreed upon by singed contract. They demanded that my wife who was home along in ******* go to the bank and get the xtra money in cash only. The following day they called when car was picked up and demanded more cash on top of the money they already requested. Then we were told if we did not get the xtra $50.00 they would drop the cat in ***** ******* over two hours from the house. Total extortion! We are seniors and started to file a Police report but the stress was over whelming. These companies appear to have no regulations to control them. They claimed they fired *************************** the Broker for her what they called a Con ***. Not true as ***************************** sent an email to me yesterday asking for more business from Cheap Auto Transport. If we lived In their area we would file a small claims case immediately. This is the second time I have dealt with this company and the exact occurrence happened both times. The first time they refunded me the difference and apologized and said it would not happen again so I trusted them and they did the exact same fraudulent business practice as the first time. I contacted them to ship a car from ********** to **** two weeks prior to the pick up date. They quoted a price of $930. Leading up to the pick up date, I would get texts from their employee *********************** saying he was processing the order and to have a blessed day. The day prior to them picking up I had not heard from them and contacted them. They told me the price is now $1300. So once again they did a bait and switch and lock you in with a lower price and when you are stuck at the last second and they say the price has gone up from what you were promised. Due to my time constraints I had no choice but to unfortunately use their services. This company business practices are based on fraudulent quotes in order to lock you in then they know you are between a rock and a hard place and raise the price. They are very unethical and shady and I have filed a fraudulent business practice complaint with the *** as well as the Better Business Bureau. InJsnuary I hired another company to transport a **** Ranger pick up from ** to my home. This company has refused to quit harassing me with emails about getting this vehicle picked up. I found this company online via ****** I had my car being transported from ******* to ******** I talk to a person name **** and they set up a contract which I did via over the phone and online for a price for 650 something dollars that was post to pay a deposit of 150 and then when they receive when I receive my truck in ******** I was supposed to just pay them 500 cash on hand when my car got picked up it was initially a day and a half later than what they picked up my car for in ******* so that was one red flag but I was already in ******** I took a plane to ******** thats why my card was shipped then once my car got here it was on a Sunday, May 7 that my new amount is $1200 which I was only supposed to pay $500 when they dropped off my car so I immediately started calling the company and received no information or call back when I finally got a hold of someone when the shipper brought my truck it was a Hispanic couple that were the drivers and they said that I had 10 minutes to come up with the cash are theyre going to pull off once again I was in a frantic because it was Sunday and I asked him this is not the amount on my contract I was only supposed to be giving you guys 500 and I got a hold of **** via another phone they answered on the website and they told me a bunch of lies I needed to get this paper they assured me on sent on Monday that I will have my $700 back in my account I gave him my account number and my routing number he needed and Ive been calling since May 7 no one has got back to me on May 15 I got a hold of someone name ***** and he assured me that he was the manager and that he would take care of this situation and he has no clue what Im saying but then he calls me back and says that his name is **** from the same number No one has reached out to me and no one is answering my calls theyre going straight to a voicemail and I would like my $700 back from this company I got on the website and say they had a lot of complaints and this is not right
