3 starsOn March 13 I booked a flight through Expedia for delta airlines, I didnt get a confirmation in 24 hrs so I called back only for Expedia to tell me that delta canceled my flight because they didnt have seats left. So Expedia wanted me to booked another flight which I did with the promise of refund of *******, after booking the another flight which seats was comfort plus I was later inform they didnt have anymore seats. Im furious now because I pay 2x for 1 flight. I gave them all the documents that showed I was charged 2x and delta refuse to give me my refund. They reasoning was that I got on the plane so they do not owe me ignoring the fact that they charge me 2x l. So be aware of delta and the third party Expedia, they have scam me and I will never take delta ever again and Im discouraging family and friends to not flight delta because it seems like a scamReview fromKyle S

1 starI am just trying to get home but my flight in **********, ** to ***********, **. Them I go ********, ** which is my final destination. This plane has been delayed 5 times. And then once we got loaded and moved from the gate. The captain goes over the ******** and says they have reach there 13 hour. This isnt my first time dealing with something like this. the fact is that this keeps happening. Delta needs to do something to fix this because at this point I will never fly with delta again and I will make sure to tell everyone I know to never fly with them.Review fromSpencer D

1 starOn a recent (April 2025) flight with Delta I had an experience with a damaged bag. I had merchandise that was broken inside my bag as well and was offered a reimbursement for the broken bag and merchandise. Since the bag was still useable, I reached out to the Delta team via chat to ask for a $300 Delta voucher instead of a bag replacement. The Delta team let me know that was an acceptable solution and even sent me a confirmation email that my request would be satisfied. 6 Weeks then passed without any correspondence or sign of a voucher. I responded to that email asking for an update and received an email in return saying that a refund of $161.66 was being offered for the broken bag. This was the first time that a refund of that dollar amount was discussed. I emailed back and forth several times with each response discrediting the voucher and saying I was only eligible to receive the $161.66. Due to this dishonesty, I must leave this one start review. I have supporting screenshots to show that I was offered a voucher of $300 originally.Review fromJeff B

1 starWhere do I begin? Well, lets revisit the @delta NIGHTMARE folder on my desktop. Said folder contains screenshots of chats with customer service as documentation. I will try to condense the back and forth to make this review as pithy as possible.I am not one to leave a negative review, trust. However, this experience has more than warranted subzero commentary. Three weeks ago, I booked an international flight (to ******) through Delta. One. Flight. SOMEHOW I was magically booked on THREE different flights, all with different confirmation codes. A few days later, my credit card was billed upwards of $3,600 for two of the flights. (One magically went away.)Many days and many frustrating hours were spent being tossed around between multiple departments and multiple agents as I tried to cancel the wrongly booked flight of the two remaining. AND to receive my refund. While this was going on, flights were cancelled, rebooked, ticket numbers changed. Cue spinning head.I submitted myriad complaints, receiving a very *********** sounding case number for each. In addition to compensation for the clown show, I was promised the cases had been aggragated, escalated to valued customer status and a response was forthcoming.I am still waiting. Whats the latest you ask? My credit card was INCORRECTLY refundedBOTH remaining flights gone, vanished. I needed one flight. One. Now, I am left with nothing. (Oh, and my e-credit fell victim as well.)Angry. Perplexed. Fuming. Annoyed. Aggravated. 1 starI cannot even count the amount of hours I have wasted trying to speak to someone about our broken stroller case. Numerous times I have been sent to a supervisor queue just to be told they cannot help me, literally waited hours to even hear back from them. I have been told numerous times a supervisor would get back to me in ***** hours just to be ghosted. We have been without a stroller for almost a month because they refused to get me to someone who can help. Pray they never damage any of your items because its been awful dealing with their support team.Review fromGEORGE S

1 starIm writing to explain a series of issues we experienced due to a delayed Delta flight that caused us to miss our international connection, resulting in considerable inconvenience, unexpected expenses, and the loss of non-refundable bookings. We were scheduled to fly from *** to ***, then onward from *** to KEF (********). Unfortunately, the *** to *** flight was delayed to the point that we missed our connection to KEF. Throughout the delay, we were reassured by Delta staff that we would make our connecting flight, but upon arrival at ***, the gate had already closed despite us running directly there. The worst part is the doors were scheldued to close at 11:34 pm and we got there at 11:33 pm on the dot! I told them this and showed them the ticket and they responded by saying We cant have everyone waiting for youDelta staff rebooked us on a flight for the next day and provided a hotel stay for the night. However, the experience that followed was extremely stressful and disappointing:Our checked bags were misplaced upon arrival at *** and were not located until approximately 23 AM, despite extensive searching. The car service arranged by Delta was said to arrive within 10 minutes, but we waited outside for 45 minutes before the driver finally showed up.The hotel provided was in unacceptable condition. The first room had cigarette butts in the corners and stains on the carpet and sheets. The second upgraded room had insects on the wall, broken curtains, a torn bed, and more. We felt extremely uncomfortable and barely ******** make matters worse, the rebooked flight the following day was also delayed, and our new seats did not reflect the upgraded seating we originally paid for. My fianc and I were not even seated together.Due to these disruptions, we incurred multiple non-refundable charges and expenses totaling to $867.53. I reached out to Delta and they responded by giving me ****** miles and about a $30 reimbursement for food.Review fromJacqueline S

1 starIf I could give Delta zero stars, I absolutely would. Our flight was changed without our consent, and as a result, we are no longer traveling with our group, which includes my elderly mother and my two young nephews. To make matters worse, I am currently pregnant, which makes this situation even more stressful and unacceptable.Every single Delta representative I spoke to was unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of working to resolve this issue, they repeatedly told me there was nothing they could do and referred to this as a "minor inconvenience." For our family, this has been anything but minorit has been an incredibly distressing and frustrating experience. This is by far the worst airline service I have ever encountered. Delta has shown no care or concern for their passengers, and I will never fly with them again.I urge Delta to take responsibility and make this right.Review fromJordan M

1 starThe Worst Airline Experience Ive Ever Had Avoid Delta at All Costs Our flight with Delta was scheduled to depart from *********** (CHA) to ***** (***) on Friday, June 27th. What followed was the most frustrating and disappointing airline experience of my life. Our flight was delayed five separate times, and we ended up waiting at the airport for over 10 hours. Each time the delay was announced, we were assured by Delta staff that the flight was still happening. Then, at 2:00 AM, after a full day of waiting, they abruptly canceled the flight. We explained that we had to be in ***** by 10 AM for a cruise and even offered to drive to any airport within four hours if they could get us on a different flight. Delta staff refused to offer any alternate options. They told us we could purchase tickets with another airline and that Delta would reimburse us this turned out to be a complete lie. After three hours on the phone with Delta customer service, they refused to take any responsibility or reimburse us for anything. We had no choice but to book a last-minute flight on our own, which cost over $800 more than the flight we originally booked months in ********** make matters worse, we also had to pay $100 for a hotel room that we never got to use due to the delays. But if we hadnt made these emergency arrangements, we would have lost thousands of dollars by missing our cruise.Deltas lack of accountability, terrible customer service, and complete disregard for their passengers turned an exciting trip into a nightmare. I will never fly Delta again, and I strongly urge others to avoid this airline at all costs.Review fromNathan G

1 star******. Delta Air Lines does not follow the guideline requirement for air travel to provide hotel accommodations and meal reimbursement for flights delayed overnight, and 24+ hrs. This is the 2nd year in a row our flight from ECP to ATL was delayed in such a way that we wouldnt return home for over 24 hrs after our original expected arrival. Despite flying through Deltas hub (*******) as our single connection. The previous year, Delta slowly delayed the flight, little by little, before ultimately canceling the flight 6 hrs later, and then claiming there were no hotels anywhere in town to accommodate guests. So no hotel vouchers would be given out. They then denied meal receipts as well upon the finish of our travel. This year, the same occurrence began to happen. We already knew the plane flying that route had maintenance issues. As the pilot from *** to *** to begin our trip announced to the plane a maintenance light had come on, crews were coming to fix, but he sure didnt want to fly that plane so he requested another one. Then the same route had maintenance issues returning. Sure seems like they kept the faulty plane flying despite issues. We had two elderly travelers that could not spend another night in an airport floor. As such, we found a flight via Southwest to ******* that night. Rented a passenger van for our group of 8, and I drove home through the night (3.5 hrs) to get everyone home.Deltas response was to deny our single meal receipts, $120, and to refuse any reimbursement for the additional costs to get home. Not even a single Delta Mile was offered. Happy to share Delta correspondence, receipts, and anything with other passengers worried about a similar experience. My suggestion, whenever possible, ********** or American. Theyll treat you like a human. Delta has slipped into Allegiant/Frontier territory, but charging premium prices. Unless you find airport accommodations fine for a night of sleep, look elsewhere.Review fromVANESSA M

1 starDO NOT FLY DELTA, YOU WILL BE LEFT STRANDED IN A STRANGE CITY OVERNIGHT. I bought a ticket for my adult child traveling to my house from ******* with a connecting flight in *******. I booked a first class ticket because my child was very ambivalent about flying. The first leg was about 40 minutes, but hours of sitting on the tarmac. The flight was scheduled late in the evening due to our schedule. The connecting flight in ******* was rebooked for the following morning, because that was soonest option. I was told by Customer Service to go to the Help Desk, but they declined to assist because it was "weather related." Despite being stranded, traveling alone, in an unfamiliar city, late at night, and most businesses were closed. The first class ticket seat was not honored, instead relegated to a middle seat in the back of the plane. THEN on the way back, another 2-3 delays resulted in a cancelled flight at 1am, leaving them stranded overnight AGAIN in an airport in a strange city in the middle of the night. I contacted Customer Service REPEATEDLY because this was not what I paid for. I requested a refund at the beginning of the trip due to the seat downgrade and was told they could not issue one. I was told to file a complaint, which, as I suspected, was corporate code for "we are not going to do anything." Also, they could not issue a refund until the trip was "completed." So, after the flight was cancelled, I again requested a refund for the flight. I was again told that they couldn't do anything, much less issue a refund that I was told I had to wait to request, and I would need to file a compliant - which I did. A response today indicated that I would receive a refund for maybe a little over a third of the ticket purchase price because the flight was "used." For a first-class round-trip ticket, but a bulk of the travel was downgraded to economy. The return flight cancelled completely. I rebooked the return through Southwest because Delta cannot be trusted. REFUND!
