I never opened a Fortiva Credit Card Account; I mistakenly recieved a bill for a $25 annual fee for this card in Dec 24/Jan 25 and called Fortiva to have them clear the balance and CLOSE the card. They confirmed that the card was closed. However, a new bill/statement was received on 2/21/25 claiming I now owe $50 in late fees. This is fraudulent.Business Response

Last week around Monday or Tuesday February 2025 I mailed a 65 dollar payment to aspire correspondence In ******* Ga to the wrong address. Ive called their inquiry ************ I explained to the customer service *** I mailed my payment to the wrong address they had no idea what I was talking about they were just cluess. I wasnt offered and solution i put my accout number on my money order 4944 i didnt think it wouldnt be a problem putting my payment on my accout since its the same company my payment have not being put on my accout or returned to me. On or before January 1, 2025, I had paid off the full balanced owed to Aspire Credit, thinking that a prior (fake/fraudulent) Private Investigator (impersonator/scammer) would not return my money paid to him for services. Likely because he did not want to be caught by Law Enforcement, he refunded monies paid him. A police report was filed with this information about the fraudulent impersonator/scammer. In the meantime, I had paid an extra $200 to pay off the full balance of the Aspire Credit Card balance, and close out the credit card. The card was closed out and I am no longer using this credit card. I called Aspire Credit Card Account ******************** three times since January 1, 2025, and I was told all three times during the phone calls that they would mail me a paper check with the full amount. To this date, 02/19/2025, they have not sent a paper check. I have Not received any refund from Aspire Credit Card, which still owes me this money. I am reporting this as a purposeful theft. I have also filed a police report about this case. I am demanding Aspire Credit Card to ethically refund my money immediately; I will not stop endeavoring to retrieve the money owed me.Business Response

On Monday 1/27/2025 I was emailed a purchase receipt from My Bobs furniture store regarding my Fortiva Retail Credit Card for a purchase/order of $1,521.67 that I did not make. I immediately called Fortiva and was told someone with the address of ************************************************ and phone number of ********** has a delivery scheduled for Tuesday 1/28 of a bed, mattress and pillows. The Agent was remorseful and said he would cancel the order and restore the credit. The next day I followed up finding the order was On hold credit was not restored. Order was not cancelled. Then I was told I had to go to my bobs in ********* NY where the order was called in to and cancel. So I did. In the store I received a letter of credit but account still does not show the credit because now Im being told my account is suspended. I am being treated like I am the scammer/thief.Business Response

I purchased an alarm system through ******* and ******* was used for the product the contract was with no interest for 5 years I would pay $25.69 a month but I wanted to pay the equipment off sooner so the salesman called ******* and they agreed I would be charges $32.11 per month for 48 months because the total amount owed to Fortiva was $1,541.26. Now my contract states its zero interest. The contract was signed December 2020. Therefore the payments began January *******. Since then ******* has deducted &32 and change every month. Last year I realized they wanted to switch out my contract to a credit card whom I did not agree therefore I contacted BBB and when you all got a hold of them they agreed not to put me on a credit card but I had to call and let them know to opt out of it. This was in August 2024. Now that meant I would keep the same contract I had signed and agreed to in December 2020. In December 2024 would have been my last payment as per my contract. ******* still took out payment from my bank in January **************************************************** February 2025 and so on because they say I still owe money even though they have been taking out more than the amount that the contract stated for the last four years I just want them to stop stealing from me I have paid my amount due on my contract. But not I they have gone on to steal money from my account. The amount on my contract was $1,541.26 which has already been paid in full as stated on my contract at zero interestBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Fortiva was sending my mail to ******************** Laredo Tx ***** offering me to transfer my account to a ********************** card so when I finally received a statement to my address ******************* Texas I called and try to ask Fortiva not to transfer my balance to a credit card they didnt want to agree so I contacted bbb and ******* agreed to give me the opportunity to decline by calling them to decline my account be transferred to a credit card Therefore I called on 10/03/24 and on 10/04/24 to make sure I declined before deadline me declining the credit card offer meant my account would have been paid in full in December 2024. But ******* has taken out payments from my bank account for January 2025 and February 2025 I consider that theft also I do not want them writing some balance off that I do not owe

The account with ******* was opened through VIVINT alarms. At the time of opening the account I was not informed I would be opening an account with Vivint and I sure as heck didn't know there would be a $3000 balance added to my credit. The salesman said there would be one fee each month around ***** for the services and no never once did he mention two separate balances. Since I have spoken to Vivint multiple times They charged me for cameras and sensors i don't have. Their sales *** even tried to sell me yard signs that my invoice shows I should have received for free. There was even promotional package I was signed up for and never received all the items. I'm being told the o my way I can close the cooint os to pay off the equipment that I Don't want due to false information and that I would be forced to continue to do business with the fraudulent ****** company that lied to begin with. I don't want the service or the equipment. The customer service is absolutely no help. I even told the customer solutions at ****** they are over charging customers and selling items separately and nothing has been done. The equipment isn't valued at $3,000. I want the account closed and gone. I didn't sign with Fortiva I signed with Vivint and I didn't consent to credit ***orting or access for *******.Business Response

I ordered a walk in shower from *** *********** it was installed on Aug 2021 when it was installed my son signed I believed they switched contract so they said I was ina a contract with Fortiva Retail Credit with a 12 thousand dollar line of credit the shower was installed and I paid 1 thousand dollars at that time I was told to pay ****** once a month which I did starting Oct 2021 I have paid ****** from Oct 2021 until Oct 2024 I went to pay Nov 2024 and I was not able to pay online as usual I called Fortiva and I was told that I was behind 900 dollars mind you all the while when I paid online I received a conf of my payment. Also I tried to contact ** *********** about my contract because I would of never paid 12 thousand for a walk in shower only I thought it was my credit line established with Fortiva I never heard back from ** *********** so I endeavored to pay the 12 thousand dollars only to find out they were not crediting my payments accurately I and sure I have 12 thousand dollars or more for this account and I do not owe over 7 thousand dollars more I am very happy with my walk in shower and I do not want them to take it away I am over ******************************************************************************************************************************* the process of attaining my bank statements also my confirmation texts from the bank and phone companyBusiness Response

******* keeps charging me a late fee even if i pay the day it is due. Last month i paid it 5 days before being due but the still keep charging me. When i Speak to customer service they hang up on me or tell me I'm not understanding. I have the uploaded all the statements. My original bill is ***** but the charge 70 if your one day late. I have credit protection and have been reaching out for 2 months for it to be added and they keep sending a form that has not been sent, allegedly telling supervisors or management to call(I still have not received any call). My account is past due to their negligence and reported to the credit bureau. I have credit protection and they are making it hard to add and just adding up late charges.Business Response
