1 starJust bought a Pulte house in ******, all the houses on my street back up to a new townhouse neighborhood. We were all told that there would be a hill, trees and bushes between us and the townhouses. I just purchased my house two months ago and was told this and the townhouses were already being built. Now that they are finished this isn't being done. Evidently it wasnt even in their plans it was the other neighborhood and they changed plans. Now Pulte (even though all the houses aren't sold) they are refusing to help with anything and are washing their hands of it. This is only one of the several issues that weren't I would told. Don't believe them, get everything in writing and their idea of a condo community is hiring glorified lawn company that does a terrible JobReview fromTammy P

2 starsAlthough I love my new house, there are things that have really frustrated me about the warrantee process. During construction, the different trades thought it would be a good idea to use my bathtub as a place to clean out their buckets and scratched the tub. My construction manager was aware of it, and had it cleaned. After moving in, it was obvious that the scratches were still present, which made the side of the tub difficult to keep clean. When I brought it to the attention of the man in charge of determining the warrantee repair schedule, he encouraged us to wait until the one-year **** to address the majority of the issues, which were fairly extensive. When I showed them the bathtub, they brought a company out to give an estimate on refinishing the tub. A week later they said that they would not be covering it because I could not prove the damage occurred prior to moving in. Our construction manager had left the company, so there was no one to verify our claim. This was just one example of the difficulty we had getting Pulte to honor their warrantee. (Note: The ladies that staff the warrantee department are fantastic and have done everything in their power to be helpful. It is the company that is the issue.)Review fromMischelle H

2 starsWe have noticed several issues inside and outside of our home over the past two years. One of the biggest complaints is our yard. My husband puts a lot of work into our yard and his efforts seem futile. Our yard is full of rocks, boulders and trash left behind by builders. Our sod was placed in winter before moving in in Dec of 2022. We have had problems ever since. Also disappointed in the lay of the land. When we purchased the lot it was wooded. They cleared a portion of the land and placed our house. We were left with trees that had been damaged during the clearing process and a crazy amount of underbrush. We had trees cut down ( because one fell inches from our kitchen) and we've had underbrush cleaned. Needles to say we are disappointed in our yard and the huge slope in our backyard. In addition we had to replace our dishwasher within the 1st 2 years and we barely run it. Perhaps once every 4 months. When we called to get it serviced the technician said it was an old model. Parts would almost be the cost of a new dishwasher. Why was a new home furnished with an old appliance.Review fromBrian B

1 starHere is my Pulte Story. I was scheduled to close on my Pulte home (**************) in ********************************** on December 22, 2023. A Christmas home for my daughter and I. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks prior to receiving my keys, from what I gather, there was some plumbing issues that had yet to be resolved and apparently one of Pultes plumbing contractors utilized the guest bathroom in the evening on or about the 7th of December, which caused water to run throughout the home for approximately 48 hours. Super excited for our new home my daughter and I made frequent visits to our soon to be home, checking on the progress. My daughter and I actually discovered the flooding water and immediately reported it to the ************* who initially balked at having any keys to the home until I identified that the house was flooding and miraculously the keys jumped out of the desk. At that point the Construction Superintendent was called and the restoration process began. At this point, because of my recent divorce, I was staying at a local hotel and Pulte did pay for my extended stay, which was only offered after a long and dentist office conversation, where I stood my ground. Fast forward to January 18th or 19th, the day I received my keys. To be honest, I was totally relieved to be out of a hotel and finally in our new home. That day turned out to be another Pulte disappointment. The home was completely filthy. I mean filthy. I had to wait at least five hours for the home to be cleaned which was horribly completed. It was clear that I was super irritated with this level of service and was promised that the following day the house would be cleaned properly. That never happened. Trying to be patient, I waited for this to be remedied the following Monday the 22nd and Tuesday the 23rd. No one bothered to call and definitely did not arrive. The 22nd and 23rd were vacation days for me which is now time I will never get back.Review fromSteven P

1 starPulte is an absolute joke. They do not stand by their work. My new home is now almost two years old and the refuse to come back to complete our punch list. Our driveway started crumbling in under 3 months and ************* was not properly leveled and floods with every rain. No matter how many times we complain, they just ignore us. I would definitely choose another builderReview fromPaul M

1 starSkip this builder DO NOT BUY. They have so much hidden in their contract and always refer to it rather than do the right thing. I have had so many issues within the first ear and they say its fixed but then the cracks come back and sheet rock pops out but now it's because of the weather. The garage ceiling was done so poorly they tried to fix it 3 times and still looks awful. The supervisors only care about their survey and want all the stars which they will tell you to do! Try to work with them and they will not. Realy on poor customer service. Never had these issues with ******.Review fromNancy M

1 starI am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with our recent home-buying experience. While ***** provided excellent assistance initially, our journey took a nosedive once we entered the contract and lending phase. The lack of effective communication within your company was glaring. We ultimately decided not to proceed with closing on the house and forfeited the $5,000 ******* money. The issue we encountered left me feeling extremely uneasy. We felt like pawns, shuffled between different individuals, often unaware of their roles or responsibilities during our closing process. What seemed like an inconvenience to them had a significant impact on us. Specifically, the mistake that resulted in an additional $175 per month may not seem substantial, but over 30 years, it amounts to a staggering $63,000 extra paid. As seasoned buyers (this being our third purchase), we were shocked by the multitude of issues we encountered. Mistakes happen, but the absence of a call from ******* regarding the interest rate resolution was inexcusable. Frankly, this entire experience has been a complete disaster. Its disheartening to witness such a lack of professionalism.Review fromBradford H

1 starWorst home builder ever - 4 layers of customer service in ******* and none of them are worth the air they breath. Everyone in our neighbor **** calls them The Weasel and three Useless *****. They do nothing, drag their fee, say - " . . . wait until your one-year review . . . ". Why would anyone want to have a problem for a full year. If you try and write or call their HQ In ******* there is no answer buy either mode. They are a horrible, one you buy they move on.Buy from anyone but themReview fromRob C

1 starWe live in an HOA community built by Pulte. While we're happy overall we cannot submit a positive review. This is due to the countless small issues that existed prior to our closing and in some cases still do. Once you close and get your keys it's a difficult and time consuming process to get warranty service or any assistance. We did as much as we could prior to closing but found that those repairs were sub-par and of course now need to be re-addressed which Pulte is reluctant to do. In some cases they simply refuse to do anything further. As others have stated they delay, deflect and defer so they have as little responsibility and accountability as possible. After a year of living here we still have to look at numerous issues that will never be fixed unless we pay to have them done ourselves. We have countless neighbors with similar and in some cases much worse concerns. Some neighbors are living in 1/2 their space due to the fact that there are major, ongoing repairs to their home(s). During the courses of purchasing, building, inspecting and moving in we've had to deal with 4 (maybe more, I can't recall) project managers as they keep getting relocated, fired, whatever. This delays things further as you have to get the new person up to speed on your concerns. After placing a review I was contacted by a senior manager that seemed like he genuinely wanted to help but in the end it was just lip service, he did nothing nor did it seem like he even tried to do anything. The bottom line is that we're happy to live where we are but would strongly discourage anyone from buying a Pulte home.Review fromPamela C

1 starWe still havent moved into our home as there are so many issues. If we had known, we would have run, not walked from purchasing this home. The poor quality and workmanship of the home upon closer inspection is a joke. The constant calls to have them fix this or that. There is either wet concrete or sand in the sewer line. We havent moved in yet and the plumbing backed up. The missing s**** in the attic HVAC that sounded like a hamster on a wheel, the finishes of missing corner panels to cover gaps between the oven and wall, the dryer vent 1/3rd of the way into the wall, the front door with large gaps on both sides, we removed the carpet to have luxury vinyl planks and concrete pockets near the sliding glass were not filled in, electricity in the kitchen where the coffee maker blew the fuse every time, the shower glass doors are so thin they shake every time you open and close the doors, the window frames for blinds were done so badly, it made getting window treatments a challenge, the list goes on and on. Shame on Pulte for building sub par homes. The community was to ********* style living, but it is turning into a nightmare! The community centers are built better than our homes. Their quality inspectors should be fired and the contractors have done a poor job.
