I wish I would have read these reviews before starting my process. I am a first time homebuyer, and I was so excited, beyond excited, to purchase my first home, and they have a literally made my experience quite possibly the worst thing I have ever done. They have made me feel dumb. They have made me feel inadequate. They have made me feel like they just do not have time for me, I really want to not give them my business

It is advisable to avoid this builder as they have a sister brand CENTEX. They are known for not fixing several warranty issues.

I would be cautious when considering Pulte. True that theyre a nicer home builder to work with, but they will play pretty typical games with you. They are your best friend up until handing over the keys, and they did do a great job with keeping us involved and informed on any delays or updates. However, they will hand you your keys, maybe play through following up a few times, but will never complete the projects they agree should be taken care of. My advice, have one of the adults in the home keep a list and call at the start and close of each week until the repairs are carried through. We were asked to be patient because of how backed up the laborers were, then laughed at when we called back to inquire when theyd be out. They asked us to be patient for long periods of time just so they dont have to fix things. Things to look for: floors. They shouldnt click or move around when youre walking. Their contractors agreed, then did nothing about it. Our cabinets had many dings on them. These guys were REALLY backed up, we were told, and we were laughed at when we called the office to inquire. Also, be diligent in checking anywhere where one type of flooring meets another - the floor piece isnt affixed to the ground. Baseboards and woodworking: if youre paying a company to come out and deliver on a $1,000,000+ home, be shre to check your baseboards. My grandfather was a master *********, but you dont need that to deliver corners that are aligned and flushed and baseboards that run seamlessly from one end of your living space to another. Would I go with Pulte again? I would, but would probably hire a third-party to manage all of the warranty and repair things that theyll try to hide. Would I advise a new builder to go with them? Absolutely not. If you have a fair amount of money to spend, make sure youre spending it with a builder that will deliver the final product they promised when you signed the check.

Put 15k down in ****** money for new build in ******** **. Had string of bad luck and asked to cancel and refund. Pulte salesperson says he had to speak with his manager but after multiple follow up emails, they have simply stopped responding. This is a lot of money to retired person on fixed income and there is no reason they should keep it.

I cannot consider Pulte mortgage, they are hold me for a month to take a decision that I can do forward or not, and they told me their decision just one day before about that they are not going to approve my loan, this is a kind of emotional blackmail to me and I am not ready to recommend any one to trust Pulte mortgage.Primarily, please don't fall into 10K lending cost trap, they will raise up all the rates and gives you 10K on top of that number, finally you will end up on same deal as you get in outside lenders.

Year #3 in our Pulte Nightmare of a home. Nothing is covered under warranty outside of the 1 year! Already had one of the installed appliances go out costing us $3,749 to replace it. Why did it go out, we were lucky that our house didn't burn down, the wire nuts connecting aluminum wire to the copper wire should have an electric gel in the wire nut. A construction manager, *****************, installed our wall oven and it was obvious that he is not a certified electrician. The problem was discovered after the unit died and we had to purchase a replacement. As the certified electrician was removing the old unit, he cut off the wire nuts to show that they had melted and were close to shorting out and starting a fire.Pulte was nice enough to repair the ceiling cracks in the owners closet and game room 4 times in an 18 month period. Despite being over the one year warranty period. The cracks reappeared every winter, truss lift keeps pulling up the ceiling away from the ************ creating a 1/2" gap between the vertical wall and the ceiling. Now, the ************* Team is telling me that it is within the specs! I can only guess that ******* can say that because it is not her house. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A PULTE BUILT HOUSE!!! This is my nightmare, I don't want you to have the same one.My one year review score was an 8 and the construction manager was distraught and made mention of it and I responded with I guess I should have made it a 5!Pulte hires the cheapest and most inept framers to build their houses and the buyers pay the price of Pulte's mistakes. We had a recent bout of weather where the temperature was not above 20 degrees for over a week. With the energy efficient furnaces located in the attic, the condensate lines froze and water backed up into the induction motor and froze leaving a large number of my neighbors without heat for that cold weather spell.I wouldn't take PULTE home if it were given to me!

We are at *********************** (55+ community) at *********, ********. *********************** has poor workmanship to a series of issues. Including the 4 bathroom shower head diverter, shower head, shower hand spray and rail. The diverter that they installed is less than $6 a piece. We were expected they installed correctly for the 55+ community. We are having physical challenge to reach where the bathroom shower head diverter installed at the top of the shower head - NOT onto the middle of the shower head wall. We paid a fair amount ($2600) to ***********************/Pulte Homes to install the above options. We asked the ***********************/Pulte repair department about this. They told me that this installation is according to building code. They are not going to fix this issue. I told them there is design fault with this. At this point, we have to **** it up and all slipping accidents are on us.We have to pay another $2000 to fix this issue with the Kohler hydrorails. This is not good business practice with the bad design of the ***********************/Pulte a 55+ community. Then, there are 4 optional RG6 electrical connection are not working at this time. The basement studs not connect to the base wood before the foundation. The home owners like us needed to the building inspector to approve their work.

I do not recommend that you ever purchase from this builder. They will use the worst contractors and will use the same contractors to do inadequate repairs, if they do them at all. They will make false assertions to deny service requests covered by the warranty. In my neighborhood we have all had several major issues with our homes, many of them the same problems.. You will likely need to spend additional money to retain an attorney to try and get them to honor your warranty requests.
