    I am working with a debt relief company and enrolled Simple Fast Loans as one of my creditors. When my debt relief company reached out to them and negotiated a settlement agreement Simple Fast Loans ignored the agreement and sued me in court but never told me or my debt relief company that they were going to do this. My debt relief company paid the settlement amount 1 month later. 6 months later I received a wage garnishment from Simple fast loans for the remainder of the balance. I contacted my debt relief company who has been trying to figure out what went wrong with the agreed upon settlement. Simple fast loans charges 600-700% interest on their loans. All of this is very shady and should be illegal if it isnt already. I would like you the BBB to contact Simple Fast Loans and their partners to figure out why they are doing this type of behavior to consumers.

    In reviewing the complaint, it appears the
    consumer alleges the Company entered into a settlement arrangement with her,
    but then filed a lawsuit for the balance of her loan obligation instead of
    following through with the settlement terms.  
    Those allegations are false.  The
    Company does not file lawsuits against customers, even in the context of a loan
    default, and has no record of any such lawsuit against the consumer here.   It is possible her account, once delinquent,
    was transferred to a debt buyer who then initiated suit, but that filing was
    not an action by the Company. 

    Notwithstanding
    the foregoing, please note that it is the Company’s usual practice to reach out

    I have had many successful loans with this company but I am unable to keep up with my current loan due to financial difficulties. I just realized that the interest rate on the loans were 200+%. This far exceeds the maximum rate in ********** and is also immoral. Despite that, I reached out to the company to settle the loan in good faith and received a note back with no solution. I have already paid thousands on prior loans not knowing the excessive interest charged. This is ridiculous and simple fast loans should make this right.

    Simple Fast Loans (the Company) acknowledges receipt of your complaint submitted to the BBB on or around May 28, 2025. Please accept this letter as the Companys formal response.
    Your complaint raises concerns regarding the legality of the interest rate and/or APR applicable to your loan agreement under California law. However, California law does not govern this loan transaction. The loan was originated by **********, a division of ********************** (******), a Utah state-chartered bank regulated by the ************************************* (****). As such, CC Connect is subject to federal banking regulations and the laws of the State of Utahnot ***********

    Under Utah law, specifically Utah Code ***. 70C-2-101, parties to a consumer credit agreement may agree on any finance charge and associated fees.Additionally, under 12 U.S.C. 1831d, CC Connect is authorized to "export" Utahs permissible interest rates to other states, including **********. Therefore, there is no legal limitation under California law on the interest rates applicable to your loan.

    The terms of your loan, including the APR and all other federally required disclosures, were clearly presented on the face of your loan agreement. As noted in your complaint, you have entered into ten (10) previous loans through CC Connect, all obtained via the Company, an authorized servicer of CC ********** each case, the APR, amount financed, payment schedule, and all other required disclosures were provided in accordance with applicable federal law.We also acknowledge that you paid off those prior loans within one to four payments of the scheduled term.

    With regard to your statement about prior attempts to settle the current account, a review of our communications confirms that our service representative informed you that a settlement is not currently available but advised that you may make partial payments online using the customer portal or by calling. Additionally, as a reminder, when able, customers who want to save money are encouraged to pay early, pay often, and pay more than the minimum amount due. By paying more than the minimum, you can reduce the total cost of borrowing. In addition, you may pay off your CC Connect loan at any time without any prepayment or early payoff penalties.

    I received a few emails from simple fast loans advising that my loan is past due. I have never heard of them, so i decided to call the number listed in the email to try to determine what loan they're claiming that i have with them. The agent advised that she needed my social security number to be able to give me any details about the loan. I told her that i wasn't comfortable with sharing my personal info because this seemed fraudulent. She advised that i should file a police report to clear this up. I really don't trust giving them my info to prove who I am when they should have done that before giving the loan to whoever it was they gave it to. This company seems very unprofessional I would have never done business with them. I'm unsubsrcribing from their email list and asked the agent that her company never contact me again.

    I am rejecting this response because: Their response is a vague legal cookie cutter response that they've posted on everyone's complaints about their business. Also, why would I file a fraud police report when I don't know for sure that I'm a victim of fraud. If they are saying that I have a loan with them and I owe them money, then I would think that I would have received some sort of correspondence of said debt via a formal letter in the mail.

    I was contacted by the business whose representative yelled at, threatened me and bullied me. He then said he is going to write down I am not willing to work with them (after i asked about a payment plan) and that they will freeze my bank account etc...I recorded it too.     This company is sending junk mail to my home. I want them to STOP. They do not even list a return address on their junk mail, so the post office cannot send it back. Never ask for their mail. Spoke with an operator a few months back the told me they could not take us off the list then hung-up on me.

    I have had another loan with Simplefast Loans that never had a late payment and was paid in full. In October of 2024 I took out another loan with them. Payments were $354 every two weeks which I had no trouble paying. In January of 2025 I was forced to stop working due to back problems requiring a neurosurgeon and possible surgery. I continued to keep in contact with them making payments as I could. I called them today because now my savings is just about gone and my disability insurance is still in process. I spoke to them requesting a payment plan that I could pay with my husband's SS income so my loan would not default. Their only response was to stop my automatic withdrawals and for me to call in payments when I can for however much I can. But as i explained to her that doesn't stop my loan from defaulting and them continually reporting to the credit bureau, and it will never get the interest down let alone the principle. I requested a payment plan to reduce the payment to what I could afford AND payoff the account, not go further in debt and further behind. She then told me I could refinance the loan, starting over, but it would only reduce the payment $40. They would rather have their customers go further and further into debt and further and further behind rather than taking the balance of the account and coming up with a payment plan. You think they would appreciate their customers that have an EXCELLENT repayment history with them until a major health issue comes up, then they just don't care. I would like to know if anyone else has had this same issue and if there are any legal repercussions an attorney could help with?

I was contacted promptly by Mr. ******** After emailing back and forth a few times Mr. ******* contacted me today with an offer that was not only extremely generous, it helped me in my situation a GREAT DEAL. I have had an account with their company 4 times and never had an issue, paying my account in full each time. After losing my daughter to cancer I now have her 3 children and am out of work due to serious back problems requiring neurosurgery. I want Simplefast Loans to know just how much I appreciate their quick response and for the VERY generous offer. It will help me and my family tremendously.     I reject this response from Simple Fast Loans because:

    1.  The message is both verbose and convoluted.

    2.  It sounds as though this unnamed person may be insisting that s/he plans to continue to contact me after s/he has been asked to cease and desist any and all contact with me.

    To the extent that I *THINK* I understand what this company is saying (please note there is NO SIGNATURE on its  message which I find both odd and worrying because legitimate businesses have their employees identify themseleves by name and job title) I reiterate:

    1.  I do not do business with this company.

    2.  I do not know how they obtained this address.

    3.  I am not interested in ever doing business with this company, especially now that I have read this bizarre, unprofessional message from them.  

    4.  I want this address removed from their marketing machine and never to receive anything from them again.  

    If contact from this business continues, I will consider it to be harassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and I will pursue complaints with the ************************************************* in both states and any other agency, state or federal, that accepts complaints against them including the FCC.

    I have a loan with Simple Fast Loans or CC Connect, not sure why they have two names but anyways. The loan was for ***** dollars. I have had nothing but trouble paying this loan off since losing ******** and having to pay over $400 a month for health insurance. I was going to contact simple fast loans directly but then my aunt has let me know that Michigan has a law that installment loans may not exceed the statutory limit of 25 Aprmy loans APR with Simple Fast Loans is over 244%. I am embarrassed that I have let this happen to me and need to cut my relationship off with this company before having to take legal actions.     In addition, as a general matter, if the consumers loan transaction involves CC Connect, that entity is the actual lender on the loan.  CC Connect is a Utah state-chartered bank with the ************************************* as its primary federal banking regulator. Consequently, CC Connect is governed by both federal banking laws and the laws of the State of Utah. Utah law does not establish a maximum rate or charge for loans.  In fact,pursuant to UTAH CODE ***. 70C-2-10, the parties to a consumer credit agreement may agree for payment of any finance charge and other charges and fees.  Additionally, pursuant to 12 U.S.C. 1831d, CC Connect has the authority to export Utahs permissible interest rates. Accordingly, as CC Connect may rely on the interest rate authority of Utah and export this rate into other states, including the state of ********, there is no limitation imposed on the interest rates associated with the loan.

    I received a call on January 8th 2025 from a collection agency stating I owed simple fast loans. I have never heard of them. They told me to contact them and when I did they said a loan for 600 dollars was taking out on August 20th 2024 in my name deposited into a **************** account. I've never had an account with them. So ********************** is now wanting all kinds of my personal info including a police report to clear this up. I have filed an identity theft report with the ***. I am trying to get a police report however I am snowed in at the moment. I really don't trust giving them my info to prove who I am when they should have done that before giving the loan to whoever it was they gave it to. I don't understand why if they had my info I am just hearing about this. This company seems very unprofessional I would have never done business with them. I just don't know what to do and they are giving me 30 days to give them my personal info that they say they already have.

    Hi Good Afternoon, My name is **********************************. I am filing this complaint against Simple Fast Loans. I have a loan with them currently and have not been able to get into my account to access my loan documents. I have used their chat feature, emailed them, as well as called their customer service line. All of the **** I speak to tell me that they can't do anything for me because on their end it shows that they can access it. I spoke to a woman at the end of last week and was told a manager would reach out and no one has. This has been going on for over a month now and all I want is either access to my account or a copy of my loan documents. It feels to me that they don't want me to have access to my account for some reason. I would like access because I am entitled to my loan information that I signed as is everyone else that signs a loan. Any help you can provide would be helpful I just don't know what to do at this point. I can only assume since they are treating me this way that they are treating other customers this way too and wanted to bring it to your attention.

    Simple Fast Loans (the Company) is in receipt of a complaint from your office regarding the above-referenced matter.  As you are aware, privacy regulations prohibit the Company from disclosing confidential consumer information to unauthorized third parties. In the event that you have a signed authorization from the consumer who filed this complaint, please forward a copy to the address listed above.

    Notwithstanding the foregoing, please note that it is the Companys usual practice to reach out to the consumer at issue in an effort to resolve BBB concerns.  To the extent that the individual identified in your correspondence is an applicant for one of the Companys products or otherwise a customer of the Company, this matter will be forwarded to a Company representative for review and resolution.  Please note that the Company has already reached out to this consumer for additional information in an effort to resolve her concerns. 

    Thank you for your assistance in bringing this matter to our attention. The Company invests heavily in maintaining consumer relations and considers consumer satisfaction a high priority.
