I cannot express enough how incredibly disappointed and frustrated I am with both Mohawk Carpet and National Design Mart. We had Mohawk carpet installed in our home just over a year ago, and from the moment we started walking on it, it made an absurd "crinkle" noise—like plastic crinkling up under your feet. The noise has gotten progressively worse over time, now affecting every single room in the house, from the main level to the upstairs, even the stairs themselves. This started about 8 months after installation, and the situation has only deteriorated since then.
We contacted National Design Mart, who, to their credit, sent out an inspector to assess the situation and file a claim. Unfortunately, the outcome was a complete disaster. Mohawk denied our claim—not because the product was defective, but because the carpet was not professionally cleaned within 12 months of installation. This is absurd! To suggest that cleaning the carpet could somehow fix the issue with the foam padding and the plastic-like noise barrier is beyond ridiculous. It's clear that this is just an excuse to avoid standing behind their faulty product.
Let’s be clear here: Mohawk's product is complete garbage, and they don’t care about their customers once the sale is made. The whole experience has been an absolute nightmare, and now, we're left with a carpet that sounds like a crinkling baby diaper every time we walk on it.
What’s worse is that National Design Mart is just as guilty for pushing this faulty product and installing it in homes without any regard for the long-term consequences. They should be ashamed for selling Mohawk carpets knowing they can get away with this type of shoddy workmanship and poor customer service.
If you’re thinking about purchasing from Mohawk, do yourself a favor and RECONSIDER. Don’t waste your money on a company that doesn’t care about the quality of their products or their customers.

I am so disappointed with your Pergo Pet Protect laminate flooring. After all the backbreaking work my husband did to install this product in our home, ( and the higher than average cost of this laminate product.), it is on the way to being ruined after just a few months. Any liquid that sits on the product penetrates and causes the edges to buckle. ( It is advertised as being waterproof up to 24 hours) We are already having to hide areas that are affected by moisture, even for just a few minutes. The wear layer on this product is so thin that anything that falls on the floor leaves a dent or a puncture. I am heartbroken over a floor that looked so great, but having pets it is going to destroy this floor very quickly. Buyer beware!!!!!!! This product is not even close to what it advertises to be.

We purchased carpet forma retailer wo purchases it from Mohawk. The retailer submitted a claim on carpet that defective when it was installed. I was given Mohawk's number and spoke to Vickie in claims who hung up the phone on me in mid conversation. I called back and spoke to a CSR manager who said we are not their customer. I countered with maybe not your direct customer but I purchased your product therefor I am your customer. Left a VM for manager of claims to give me an ETA on the process time, no response. I will never purchase Mohawk company and I will ensure everyone I know understands that their CS is abominable. They obviously don't take care of their customer, they make things such much more difficult then needed. I am having the retailer pull up the carper and return it for a full-refund rather than working with Mohawk for a resolution. They are one of the worst companies I have had to contact and negotiate a resolution.

I am highly dissatisfied with Mohawk carpet warranty ,my carpet which is only four months old but already shows significant issues, including frayed ends, snags, and worn-down areas in high-traffic zones. Despite having an independent inspector confirm that the carpet's condition is unacceptable for its age, Mohawk refused to honor the warranty, stating that it doesn't cover these problems. we the customer was so misled by claims of quality and is disappointed by the company's handling of their complaint, especially given that the carpet was installed in a low-traffic home.
I did everything this company asked and they are not standing behind the warranty - DO NOT BUY Mohawk carpet at all you will be disappointed

The warranty is useless, and the product is substandard. We were told Mohawk carpet was quality but apparently not. After 3 months our new carpet looks worse than the 20-year-old carpet it replaced. There were snags, traffic areas that were worn down with frayed fibers in almost every area that people walked on. We are going to have to spend more money replacing the garbage ******* ******** put in our home.
When we called ******* ******, it took 2 weeks for them to come out and then 8 weeks for Mohawk to review the claim. They denied it based on warranty doesn’t cover those problems. They said it could be due to excessive vacuuming. The carpet was 3 months old, and we get the house professionally cleaned. After contacting Mohawk, there solution was for us to have to pay for an independent carpet inspector to prove their product was poor. Sorry, but it doesn’t take a professional to tell that your new carpet is falling apart and needs replacing.
We got scammed and will never use either company again.

I purchased Mohawk carpet through **** ***** 3 years ago. I have a 25 year warranty against stains. For the past 6 months I have been fighting with **** ***** because I have spots that will not come out. They claimed wicking which of course is not covered under the 25 year warranty I purchased. I have the carpet cleaned professionally several times. They carpet cleaning company said it was NOT due to wicking. They still will not do anything. They never sent anyone out to see the carpet. I've spent tens of thousands of dollars at **** *****. They care more about their vendors than their clients. Mohawk does NOT stand behind their product. My mission is to let as many people as I can know NOT to by Mohawk anything! That's one good thing about social media, Bad news travels fast.

In a nutshell, Mohawk carpeting and their bogus warranty are crap. I replaced 20 year old **** carpet that looked better than the Mohawk crap looked after 6 months! I started a warranty claim for a stain that would not come out even with 2 professional cleanings, less than 6 months apart. We purchased this so-called "Pet-proof/stain-proof" high end carpet because we have cats and it was highly recommended by **** *****. After almost a year, I still have a stain that is about 2' x 3' in the middle of my living area and the yarn is pulling out of the carpet by hundreds per day, and the carpet is in every room. I have to cut them off with small scissors and vacuum them up. Soon, there will be nothing left. The quality is horrible and the shading and nap makes it look dirty and shabby. I'm sick of looking at it. I'm ready to rip it out and live on underlayment. My 20 yr old **** carpet never had a pulled yarn or a stain that wouldn't come out and when I vacuumed, it looked like new until the day they ripped it up. We only replaced it to update the decor. A $6,200 mistake!! After countless emails, phone calls, claims, denied claims, re-opened claims (after I ripped them a new one in a lengthy email to corporate) Mohawk offered to replace the carpeting in my entire living room and dining room for a $1400 installation fee! As senior citizens on fixed incomes, that is not an option for us. Plus, we would have had to pay them to move furniture. We were told this was the "top of the line" from Mohawk, so naturally, we figured it would last at least the 20 years we got from the ****. So, I'm on my hands and knees cutting little threads of yarn almost daily and every time I look at the giant stain in the middle of the room, I want to either cry or strangle someone. I've told everyone who will listen about this, but Mohawk doesn't care about their customers or their reputation. Never again!

I acquired 31 pallets of Mohawk Laminate Acacia Laguna flooring from ****'s in 2020, but the shipment lacked the critical lip component, requiring the return of all 31 boxes due to ****'s refusal to collect defective products. I subsequently purchased a closely matching alternative, which is now exhibiting buckling, color alteration, bubbles, and unusual scratches. I submitted a claim under the lifetime warranty, and it took a month to get any response, yet was denied in two days, attributing the issues to installation problems, which I contest. My own independent flooring specialist concurs that the flooring is inherently flawed, necessitating $875 in repairs. Notably, the flooring was installed in strict accordance with Mohawk's guidelines, and the product's discontinuation has precluded access to replacement planks. My attempts to engage with Pergo, ****'s Corporate, local stores, Mohawk, and Quickstep have yielded no viable solutions or meaningful customer support, highlighting the reasons behind the product's discontinuation. I wish I had researched these reviews before purchasing and losing in the personal process of remodeling.

Purchased mohawk carpet from *******. Picked upper price range. It was just over 1 years old when started to matt down and fibers fray. Looks horrible. Called about warranty and they claim needs to be professionally cleaned once a year for warranty to be valid. Really? Not even dirty yet. I replaced 30 year old carpet that looked better. This warranty was never written anywhere or passed on to us when purchased. Terrible customer service.

I purchase a pallet of Pergo Outlast Chestnut Baluga and used all but 32 boxes of the laminate flooring. In November 2023 I was ready to use the remainder of the laminate and discovered 13 of the flooring was defective. I filed a complaint with Pergo by way of Home Depot and after months of back and forth asking for a refund or replacement they denied my claim because the flooring was never installed. This product was discontinued as for numerous complaints that the product was faulty. Need a refund or replacement of the total 32 boxes as they are of no use to me.
