      Seriously messed up!
      My bank card is worn and called to get a replacement card. The woman freaking BLOCKED my old card before I got my new one in 7-10 days. I can’t use it. WHYYYYYY she did that is beyond me. My life will be hell now until I get my new card. The customer service lady I spoke to said it can’t be unblocked. Yet they can unblock it long enough for me to get cash from the ATM? Can they hear themselves?? Does that make any sense?? One of the ladies I spoke to couldn’t understand why it was blocked either and tried her best. The last lady tried a little and is having a card fast shipped.
      I am suffering for the incompetence of another person. They should be fixing this issue immediately. I’ve been with them for over 20 years now even their banks are shutting down left and right and it takes me an hour to get to one now.
      I’m single. No hubby to ask money from. Nothing.
      It’s just me. They can’t even admit they messed up. Again.. if you can unblock my card long enough to take money out of an atm you can unblock it period!
      I used to highly recommend this bank. Now I think it’s time move on. They can’t even help me.

      The only reason I am leaving a 1 star is because there is no lower choice. I am a small business owner. I have deposited over 20 million dollars in my account collectively in over 5 1/2 years. I applied for a Synovus rewards CC back in January. I was approved. Fast forward 8 months, I had approximately $2500 in rewards that could be redeemed. When I tried to redeem my rewards I was told my card was linked to another man. This was in fact 100% an error on Synovus end. I was denied for another CC when I was told I needed to fill out another application in order for them to get me the rewards I had earned. I have a credit score that is respectable and I am not overextended. The CC was linked to many of my business accounts that were on auto pay. I was told that a new card would be issued and the rewards transferred. The card was actually cut off with no notice and there was zero communication from Synovus. Completely unacceptable. This caused me many issues. My payments were made on time. Synovus Bank clearly does not value my business. I will be switching banks in the near future when I can allocate the time to do so. I am sure another banking institution will appreciate my business.

      Faulty ATM function, performance, and service has resulted to in many undesirable frustrations over the years, but today it was the worst ever. I had a day planned to spend out with my fiancé and went to my personal Synovus Bank ATM. I inserted my debit card into their ATM and the ATM screen didn’t prompt a transaction. I was dumbfounded! You hit cancel over and over trying to get my card back and nothing happened. I called the number on the machine and the lady tells me there’s nothing she can do to help me get my card back! I’d have pay 25 dollars for a new card to mail to me in 2 business days or one can be mailed free for up to 10 business days! I sternly complained and voiced how obviously this was no fault of mine and your ATM took my card and this ruined my entire plans for the day, and you expect me to pay you for the failure and right out dysfunctional ATM service! She took like 10 minutes to get an approval to wave the fee. I just hope I get my card as she promised? Synovus needs to take every action possible to fix their ATM issues! They are down like 60 % of the time and they have not made any effort to help customers when they’re impacted by the failures! I’ve paid hundreds of fees to Synovus over the years! They are a billion dollar company! Good Grief- get the ATM machine up to today’s technological standards and when something like this happens have someone available to come asap to get a customers card from the dang machine. You can afford a person to be on call for help for such urgent issues as an ATM card being stuck in the machine!!

      Synovus is the worst bank I have ever done business with. They called a social worker to my house 2 times invading my privacy.The most recent with the police accompanied the social worker. They have also called several times to authorities Furthermore, I understand the importance of privacy with accounts. I am on my mom’s checking account. But, they still insist on having a 76 year old handy-cap mother struggle to come in the branch for every visit. PLEASE LOOK INTO THERE UNFAIR PRACTICES.

      I have repeatedly emailed the corporate office to respond to my email questions. I have received zero responses in the last two months. We have a lot of money in your bank. Seven figures. It is embarrassing that no one response from your corporate office.

      Do not bank with this institution! I had an equity loan with them since 10/20/2008. I paid principal payments last year and were wrongly applied and now I paid off last month and now their saying I owe some fees for $327.30 after the payoff was done and confirmed with 4 people in total. They claim it’s fees assessed by the prior bank go figure ??

      I opened an account. I was supposed to transfer $25.00 for an initial deposit, and it didn't go through. They closed that account. I decided to get $25.00 in cash and open an new account. I put my direct deposit in the first account. Instead of them kicking it back to my employer; they transferred it to the new account without asking me and then put the account under review. Now, it's been two weeks and I don't access to any of my hard earned money. Just this morning, a second direct deposit came in and it is now pending. I need my money back, so I could leave this bank. The fraud department hides from the public because they know they're doing stuff they shouldn't be doing.
      I work hard for that money and I need my money back. They placed a hold on my account and I can't do any withdrawals. So, not only are they denying me service, they are also forcing me to stay with no access to MY money that I bust my behind for.

      Fire Jamie even though he is a fake. I’m so sick of calling Synovus and trying to get a person. Fake Jamie asks how can I help you, I tell him ten times and he says “I’m sorry, I didn’t get that”. When it comes to my money I want a live person and trying to get a live person is insane. This is a poor business call on your part. Please fix this or my money is going to a different bank. You act like you care about your customers.. YOU DON’T!! It’s all about keeping the money for yourself. I was trying to fix an error on your part by taking my money in a credit card that I didn’t owe. Yes, you put it back, but should it take 40 minutes to resolve an issue?

      I’ve been with them 14 years and I can’t stand Jamie . You make too much money off of people to not even have a human being that can answer phones. I’ve been yelled at for where I was parked by a manager because he couldn’t get into the first parking spot instead of just parking in another spot two cars over. The last straw… I went to deposit cash as I am selling my home and the bank employees acted like I was committing a crime and even asked my occupation which is not their place. You only have a right to report my deposits to the government. It took 20 minutes to make a cash deposit. Disgusted. Looking for another bank.
