1 starMy sister's phone said no service and she asked me to call them and they have come up with "you have to have passcode" she doesn't have one and neither do I answer my sisters only communication is the cellphone. They said she would need to call from someone else's phone and she did, but was away from home, so they still would not help her. I asked fir a mgr and they would not give me one. My nephew was found dead less than 2 weeks ago and we are dealing with that and she always just depended on him. We will both be changing carriers. Mine has said that in the past and they had to add minutes to it. I had no password and they just did it. Refusing to let me ralk to a mgr did it for me. I have used them for years and they never said anything about a password. She is alone and no communication. Sad and scary!Review fromLaTasha E

1 starWorse customer service ever. I was a ********************** customer for over 8 months. I decided to switch carriers, so I contacted customer service to request port-out PIN number. They provided me with one, and the call was completed. This call took place 10 days before my next payment was due. On 06/25/25, my account was debited for a full payment. I called to follow up and ask why my closed account was told that I was supposed to call them after I successfully made the switch. I found that odd, but more importantly, the *** never requested a call back. After waiting on hold for over an hour to get a one time passcode sent to me, I was told that my service would be disconnected, but I couldnt get the payment reversed because I was a day late. I lost and hour out of my day, and money that I didnt have for service that I can no longer utilize. I feel humiliated and simple. I was referred by a famous YouTuber. 5 starsSaved my family over $600 a month. Thats no exaggeration.I work around between ***** hours a week. My wife stays home with the kids. We have 4 under the age of 6. $600 a month is no small thing to us. Our previous phone bills were more than my truck payment! Service is no different than the rest of the big carriers. We live in a place where we rarely have service no matter who youre with and were super pleased with pure talk. The CUSTOMER SERVICE on the other hand is 1000% different than any other phone carrier. Where do I start.... On April 30th 2025 I went online to pure talk I heard they had great service so I bought the ****** Pixel 9 to start my service. It came four days later and the directions were totally unclear as to how to activate it. I'm like most people I only have one line for a cell phone But to get help activating my phone I had to find another cell phone to call from. So I did. Approximately one week later I noticed I had a lot of voicemail messages. I didn't understand how that could be because my phone never rang. I immediately called Pure Talk to try and get help. They told me going into settings blah blah blah blah blah blah Turn off your phone restart it. A couple days later I noticed I had more voicemail messages. I called again and they went through the same rigamarole as the first time That didn't work because I noticed I still wasn't getting phone calls and messages.. My phone calls and text messages were not all going through either. They told me that inside my apartment I was not getting enough signal bars and I'd have to go outside to make phone calls Well that didn't work either. I called many many times from May 9th until June 10th. I had been cussed out, laughed at, put on hold for 20 minutes or more but still did not get assistance. They are the rudest people on the planet. I am veteran and have PTSD. I have never in my life been so frustrated.I finally had enough and went to another company crying on June 10.BUT,,,,,,,I had made a payment $45 and $54.30 for the service I did not receive. AND since I am leaving Puretalk before the 36 months they want me to pay back a $200 rebate they gave me on the phone. The phone has major issues. I want to send it back. But no one wants to talk to me about that because I am no longer a customer. Go figure.PureTalk

I FINALLY decided to make the leap into the latest, greatest iPhone and learned prices were apparently fixed by *****. In other words, PureTalk charges the same as does *******, Apple Store, etc. Honoring PureTalk's promoted "American owned and operated" posture, I elected to buy through them. In the checkout process, I selected "Priority Overnight" shipping via ****** at almost double the price of Second-Day air. My purchase was made this past Saturday.When I'd received no shipping info, I contacted them late this morning. The operator said that although they SELL phones seven days per week, they do not SHIP phones on the weekends. Adding to my frustration, she said orders typically take "24 to 48 hours to process." Why was I hoodwinked into paying double for "Next Day" shipping when it now appears it will be at the very earliest FOUR DAYS removed from my purchase? Why didn't someone advise me of the "build-in" delay so I could exercise the option of going to BestBuy, paying the same for the phone and having it in hand the same day?This whole transaction left me feeling "icky," like PureTalk was acting in bad faith, failing to make it clear when my phone would arrive. If they were above board, making it clear when I could expect my device, I at the very least could have gone elsewhere. Or, I could have chosen to wait the extra few days to take delivery thereby having my expectations managed. The operator's attitude wasn't the least bit conciliatory or apologetic. She was very matter of fact like the problem was on me! What a colossal turn-off.Bottom line: buyer beware. Buy a phone only if you're comfortable getting it WHENEVER it arrives. And save your money for Priority Overnight. You're not going to get it, even if you order on a Monday. Remember, the operator matter of fact said the order PROCESSING could take two days. we purchased a phne with your company we chose to use another carrier we sent back device to address we were given ware house refue=sed to accept we are being charged mounthly for phones we dont even have we were told that we had to pay 117 dollars we sent a check 4//1 check was never cashed as of 4/22 we offered to pay with credit card we were told we cant i do not want this to hurt my credit reting i have had nothing but aggragation with you company i will be filing a complaint with the better business bureauPureTalk

Be aware of just how terrible this company is with cellular service. Pure Talk is worse than Sprint. **** ******* was the only reason I attempted to utilize this company. Pure Talk is attempting to support the United States and the veterans. Pure Talk customer service and technical support was a nightmare. Terrible, terrible, terrible. I lost a lot of money attempting to utilize a company such as Pure Talk. I will never stray from T-Mobile again. I learned an expensive ******* **** ******* is in it for profit. Other than that, he should know this company is not a good company. Wow! It has been a very traumatizing experience dealing with this very incompetent company.PureTalk

My son just turned 18 and I helped him fill out an order form for Pure Talk. First, he didnt qualify for the instant phone discount, and we were never given a reason. No email ever came (yes the email they had was correct), as a couple different customer service people told me it would. My son decided to order a phone anyways without it, and we got the email confirmation. A few days later I called to check to see if it had been shipped because wed had no email update. After talking to two people, I found out that they had refunded the money. I never got an email explaining anything. I was just going to add my son to our account, to avoid any further hassle, but I was told that what happened to me was odd and I should try to re-order through a sales representative. So we did and he said hed never had problems before and he was optimistic. That day, I received an email, asking for an ID to go along with it, which I provided right away. Days later, I called back, and they had denied the application again. No explanation. None of it made sense. Whoever is behind the scenes acts highly incompetent. We went down the road and gave our service to another provider, and now, Im switching my service as well when I can.PureTalk
