1 starThis place is a JOKE! Rip off! The website is confusing, the photographers are horrible. They just start snapping pictures without telling the kids their hair or clothes are messed up! The are just awful! The charged my credit card without authorization. Then LIED to me about what I was paying for at my son's retake appointment all to find out after paying over $400 already I still had to pay another $169 to get access to my son's cap and gown digital downloads. So, I have paid $569, and I have NO actual photographs. You can't pick from the proofs online because they have large letters "PROOFS" stamped all over their faces. The whole thing is a joke and a scam! I haven't been able to get decent school pictures since my kid's school started using CADY. I hate them! And they DO NOT CARE!Review fromAllison S

1 starAnother victim of the Cady senior photo scam. Pictures are horrible. Photographers are amateurs. But what really gets me is you cannot go outside of this company and get your own photos because they don't be in the yearbook. I have no doubt that schools are getting a cut of this money. I have already spent $300 and haven't even ordered any cap and gown or other photos. You can only order packages, no individual prints. Complain to your school districts who hire this scam company.Review fromTiffany H

1 starTerrible. One would think that a professional portrait studio could produce photos that are in focus and not overexposed. Um, no. Not CADY. I dont know why the schools in my area continue to use them. I wouldnt have used them at all if the school hadnt made ** use them for my sons yearbook picture. They SUCK! At least the one in *******, ** does. Theyre way overpriced and produce subpar images. They want an ungodly amount of money for blurry, overexposed pictures that they then want to charge even more to edit. They dont know how to properly do that either.Review fromJoy H

1 starI was just charged ****** by Cady. I gave them my card information over 3 months ago and agreed to have ***** charged to my card. So apparently they sent photos to me that I was supposed to send back if I didn't want to be charged 235. 39. I had ****** in my bank account to last me until my next payday in 8 days and I now have ****** in my bank account. I'm literally in tears here. I believe they do this ON PURPOSE to deceive people and charge them without their knowledge. I now have to wait for an envelope to return the unwanted photos. So what did the ***** include? I'm very upset. I am extremely responsible with my spending and would never give my card information to a fraudulent company that sneaks in extra charges without my knowledge. They KNOW what they are doing and I'm LIVID. I want to start a class action lawsuit against this company. I never received any correspondence via email about the photos they sent and the charge literally 3 months after my initial charge of *****.Review fromPatrice W

1 starThe ************ Director, 56x-40x-1104, hung up on me after I told her several times she was making me upset. This Director said Cady changed the website. (recently?) Three years ago, I paid $30 and received two 8x10s for my daughter's senior portraits. In September 2023, I paid $60 and my son has sat through two photo sessions. Only one photo has been acceptable from the first session. When the photos were uploaded after the second session, my son's feet were cut out. It took several emails and a month later, the photos were corrected, but still were not usable. We still need to return to retake his Cap and Gown photo. My complaint is similar to a January 2023, complaint. I am being blamed for "incorrectly" booking my son's portrait sittings. I went through this website several times to book a date and time. I have sent 5 emails to ************ Cady Manager, *************************, from Englewood's HS Principal ******************. Principal ********* emails state I do not have to pay for photos. Principal ********* emails state my son must only use Cady studios for his Yearbook photo. The ************ Director said CADY is not responsible. I received an email from **************** stating that the *******, ** Regional Manager tried to call me two times. I do not have a record of these calls. I called, and asked to speak with the Regional Director. The employee said she has no idea who this person is. I just want the one 8 x10 Formal photo and one Casual 8x10 photo. No one should ever have to go to a studio three times, send emails, wait for phone calls, pay money and not receive a satisfactory product! I am waiting for the *** or CFO to contact me today. Monopolies are illegal in *******. ********* HS requires its students to take photos at Cady. Parents pay and do not receive any satisfactory product. ** Stat ****** Penalties for violation and ** Stat ***** Discriminatory trade practices will be the statutes I will consider submitting in this lawsuit.Review fromSteph B

1 starThis place is a scam and total rip off. The experience from beginning to end is completely unsatisfactory. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Take your picture for needed yearbook at school and then turn that chapter. Better off getting a few pics from a local photographer or friend. Heed the many warnings below.Review fromLee B

1 starSo, I'm not the only one who hates Cady and their deceptive and unethical practices? I was a victim to the same things as reviewers below. After my son's senior yearbook pictures, which you have to have at Cady in order to be in the yearbook, they sent me a portfolio that I did not order. In small print somewhere, maybe, it said to send the portfolio back within a certain time if you did not want it. Never did it say, or you will be charged using the form of payment that you used for the sitting fee. So, I was charged ******!! I immediately email them and request the money back that they have stolen. I send the portfolio back and on December 2nd they email me telling me they have received the portfolio, but no mention of a refund. So, I waited . . . today is December 21st and I realized I still had not received my money. Here is there response:Thank you for reaching out to us, this email is to follow up and confirm that your refund request has been completed. Typically, you should see the funds returned to your account within 3-5 business days, depending on your bank or financial institution. If the charge is over 90 days old or the original payment method was check or cash, the refund has to be sent via a physical check and you should receive it within ***** business days from the processing date.Soooo, had I not reached out, I never would have gotten the money they stole from me. BTW, the money was back in my account within an hour after notifying them of reviewing them on BBB, posting my experience on social media outlets and going to the school board to request they be dropped as the school district's photographer.Review fromAndrea T

1 starMy sons senior portraits were terrible. In most of the proofs, his eyes were half closed, which is ridiculous in the era of digital photography. A second session was scheduled at his school and we took advantage of it, hoping for some better photos. We were not notified when the new proofs were available, and by the time we saw that they had been uploaded, we had missed the deadline to select the yearbook photo. It appears that someone from his school chose it, and it is from the first session. Very disappointing experience.Review fromAmy T

1 starCady is the WORST! They are deceptive & WILL NOT REFUND! First, you can get your pics taken at school for FREE! Check that first! Their CS reps know nothing! #2, Cady has packages for $29, $59 & $79 available, but their extremely misleading & "difficult to navigate website" steers you into their Elite packages at $199, $299 & $399. Elite ************ Unlimited packages are just "Glamour Shots" photo shoots with hair OR makeup done for the Plus package, Elite Unlimited is ************** You get a different amount of images taken for each & some include local outside locations to take images at, some have an offsite location for images to be taken at. THAT's IT though, NO images are included for purchase for your $200 to $400! It doesn't explain this on the website, it does say "***** images" NEXT to the package price. AFTER your very pricey photo shoot you THEN find out the prices of the packages, starting at an extra $200 for 1 IMAGE! $500 for 1 IMAGE! $800 for 3 IMAGES! $1400 for 4 images! Or 5 images for $1900? Or the Unlimited is a mere $2000 - $3000! This is after just paying $400! Why can't Cady be upfront with pricing? And these are senior class pics not a wedding! My 17 yr old daughter went online & fell victim to their deceptive website & signed up for their $300 hair & make up Plus, thinking this is what you do for senior pics & that of course pics were included, like any innocent kid, because who would charge $300 just for hair, makeup & to shoot pics for 5 hours, & THEN make you pay $200 more for just 1 image? "So what was the point of taking ***** images then", she asked, totally shocked, once I explained it. Cady gave me the run around for a week! I had to speak to 4 different ************** a regional manager, who rudely hung up on me 3 times! She accused me of screaming at her. No! I was trying to speak, as she rudely spoke over me, so I had to get louder to ask her to let me explain. CROOKS! They are trying to hold a 17 yr old to an adult contract.Review fromJessica J

1 starwould give 0 stars if I could. Cady sent me a portfolio that I didnt order. I returned it. They debited my bank account for the portfolio anyway. I have now been requesting a refund for going on two weeks. They send canned auto response emails telling me they have reached out two ways when they have not, in fact, reached out at all.I have called and emailed. I have reached out to my bank to dispute the charge but since Cady said in an email that a refund is coming At SOME POINT in the future with no estimated date on when that refund will happen the bank doesnt want to start a dispute. In the meantime I am down $237 dollars that they have STOLEN from me.When I tried to reach out via social media they blocked me.When I called the school to complain they informed me that they have received MANY complaints from other parents and they hope to never use them again.Be sure to use a credit card if you must so you can just have the CC company dispute the charge WHEN they steal from you.
