We have been communicating with the customer and the provider regarding resolving the claim. The provider went out to the home and discuss resolving the concerns with the customer and confirmed the issues are repairable. When the installer went out to the home to complete the repairs, the customer would not allow him to do so. The customer requested that he get his money back for the installation. The installer has declined a full refund and has offered the customer $4500.00 compensation to have someone else complete repairs as a full replacement of the shower is not necessary. Based on the information from the provider the grout has cracked and needs to be regrouted and a few tiles need to be replaced. The customer is not allowing the provider to complete repairs so the offer of the $4500 compensation is what is left as resolution. We have reached out to the customer with this offer and the customer is not responding at this time.Initial Complaint

This complaint is for Installation Made Easys (***) participating network provider called Aximus Contracting, LLC (AC). The total payment I have to $1584 that I have to make is directly to Installation Made Easy on behalf of AC, according to the purchase order ******** dated June 7, 2022. Of the total amount, I have already paid *** a deposit of $523.On June 2 I met the contractor from AC at the property to get an estimate for the vinyl floor installation. During my visit I emphasized my desire to keep a drain on the floor in my kitchen exposed, and my request to install a NEW drain cover that would be flush with the newly installed vinyl floor. On June 10, I acquired the new drain part I wanted to use and was 15 minutes away from the property when my car shut down. I informed the contractor that I wouldn't be able to make it to the property until the next day. The contractor replied saying HIS phone was going to die. He did not say anything about the status of the installation. The next morning, I was surprised to learn that the contractor had already completed the installation. The vinyl floor was installed in a way to expose the OLD drain cover even though I had acquired a new part that I wanted installed. In the contractor's own words, the old drain cover is not flush with the new floor and will move when the floor moves up and down. I am attaching photos and videos showing that the drain currently does not function. When water is poured on the floor, the water sits on top of the floor and does not drain. In order to install the NEW drain cover I purchased I will have to pay a new contractor to remove the floor and re-install it. I have received an estimate for the additional work which totals $1992. I request assistance to get the *** to make an adjustment to the $1,061 balance owed. I request that the total remaining payment owed is adjusted to $449, so that I can put the rest towards the additional work that I will have to complete out of pocket.Business Response

The customer contacted our company regarding concerns with the way the drain in the floor sat higher than the flooring and she did not like how it looked. We spoke in length about the customer with the customer and the provider. The provider let the customer know that he was not a plumber and was not able to alter how her drain sat in the floor as it was on a concrete basement floor. The installer explained to the customer on multiple occasions that he could not complete this work however the customer was never present during the ****************** even after the installer asked her to be at the house. Because the customer was not willing to pay the balance on the installation the installer agreed to waive the remaining balance. In September a change order was emailed to the customer that there was no ****************** balance but also further installation warranty on the flooring and the customer can use those funds to resolve whatever concerns she feels she still has. No further action will be taken as the customer's balance was waived.Initial Complaint

On Friday September 30, 2022 I made a down payment of ****** to Installation Made Easy to have ceramic tile and baseboards installed in my hallway. On Wednesday October 5, 2022 a contractor came out and installed the ceramic tile but didnt finish the job. He told me that he didnt have the tools to put the baseboards or tbars up because they are to expensive, so he said he would call his boss. I was told by ****** that his boss would be coming back on Thursday October 6, 2022 but no one showed up are called. So I called and spoke with a ***** and was told that he couldnt make it because he was two hours away from my house. So we made another appointment for Tuesday October 11, 2022 for 9:30am, I was home waiting and got a call at 9:28am to say cant make it. Dont no the guy name who call but he was rude tells me to reschedule. I then called and spoke with a lady name ****** she took a report on this issue. She tried to transfer the call to ***** never heard from *****. I got a call from a lady name **** about 1:46pm Tuesday October 11, 2022 who was rude. She made it sound like I was not giving them a chance. When I waited on Thursday October 6, 2022 no one showed up I had to call. I had a appointment for Tuesday October 11, 2022 waited got a call at 9:28am for a 9:30am appointment no show. I asked her for her boss she said she was the boss. My contract was to remove laminate floor and baseboards. Install ceramic tile baseboards and tbars. Today is Friday October 14, 2022 I have not heard from anyone. I am going to hire another company to finish the job, my house has baseboards just lying around. **** left a message on my cell phone at 2:51pm Friday October 14, 2022 saying if there was a update on this claim. That is her job not my job I am the customer. This was supposed to be a one day job.Business Response

*************** contacted IME regarding her incomplete job 10/11, the customer did explain at that time that she had been reaching out to the provider directly for some time to get her installation completed with no follow through there end. I explained to the customer that we would need to get in contact with the provider to discuss what the delay was and why they had not reached the customer to get work completed. Since the claim has been opened Installation Made Easy has attempted to reach *************** on 10/17, 10/24 and 10/28 to discuss getting the issues resolved as the installer had also tried to reach the customer to schedule a time to complete the work or discuss further follow up on how the customer would like to resolve the claim. To date we have not received a response back from the customer regarding resolution to the claim.Customer Answer

I ordered countertops for my newly renovated kitchen through Lowes.com. Apparently, they contract with this company to complete the job. The installers caused significant damage to my walls and cabinet drawers. They got the countertop wedged in the wall and could not move it without creating a big hole and many gouges. They also scratched my new black cabinet drawers (and tried to cover up with a Sharpie magic marker). I have been getting the runaround since May 2022. I was assured the costs for repairs would be covered and recently I was told the claim is denied as these are considered "incidental" damages. This is not acceptable as the repair costs are $553.00 and it should be the responsibility of ****** and/or Installation Made Easy to cover these costs. I have reached out to discuss this issue many times and I am bounced around from person to person, with zero continuity or any attempt at resolution. As a responsible customer, I want to resolve this, but the companies also have to take responsibility for incompetent workmanship and cover the repair costs. They are requesting a payment of $2,299.88. I am willing to pay $1,746.88. Attaching photos and the cost to replace the drawer fronts. I do not have the receipt for paint, spackle, etc. for wall repairs, estimating about $75.00.Business Response

August 6th 2022 To whom it may concern,Since after the complaint against Lowes Representative will not except responsibility for their 3rd party vendor and says Installation Made Easy is responsible now, I am putting in a complaint against IME. (Exhibit AA)Early Feb evening we went to Lowes quartz counter estimate for our renovated bathroom. We have never contracted Lowes for an outside install before so we were unfamiliar with the process. A Lowes employee let us know that usually you can set up an appointment in store to go over the details and pricing. But since it was midweek evening he said he can schedule someone to come to our house and do the same thing. We asked if they were able to estimate any of the quartz product that was currently displayed in the store. He said yes. So we gave him our information and he said we should expect a call within a few days. Received a call and the appoint was set for Feb 21st at our home. Salesman **** showed us some color samples of quartz that where available for us to pick from we picked Warm White. We showed him our quartz counter top in our kitchen which is a quartz slab about 3/4 thickness and the beveled edge stating this is what we are looking for. He said yes that is what we have to offer. So we proceeded with the sale. Attached (exhibit A) is the document he shared as the estimate for the project. **** also showed me the contract with lowes on his IPad and had me initial and sign (exhibit B), he then opened the document where we would make the 50% down payment, he also proceed to explained the 3 day cancellation policy. At this point we saw nor signed no other contracts, estimates or paperwork and since I was signing all the other documents my signature should be on any other documents that was to be included in my project. **** seemed in a hurry to close the deal and now I know why. After the meeting with ****, we looked at their website to view their product and it say quartz slabs under their quartz sectioBusiness Response

After reviewing the contract for installation with the installation provider, it was confirmed what was contracted for is what is installed. Attached is the signed Sale Contract and Installation Estimate outlining the material to be installed.
****************** signed contract for a vanity overlay and chose the color 'Warm White'. Granite Transformations installed the overlay and after the fact, the customer said she thought she was getting a full quartz slab - not the overlay. Granite Transformations does not offer full slabs, they are an overlay company only. *************************, Senior VP & COO, spoke with the customer and advised her of this, but she is refusing to pay.
It was explained to ****************** via email 7/7/22 that she received the items in which were contracted for and her request for a full slab is denied.
No further action is to be taken and Ms. ******** final payment is past due.
