In March of 2021 I purchased a lift recliner for my elderly grandmother from Farmers Home Furniture ** *********** ******* . Along with the purchase, I added on the 2-year warranty as well as some sort of stain preventive they talked me in to (I still have my receipt for proof). Summer of 2022 the chair began to lean to one side and make squeaking noises while the lifting mechanism was in motion. I contacted Farmers Furniture regarding the issue and finally on ** December 2022 a representative from their warranty center reached out to me. A technician came out that following week, informed me there was a part that was bad and it would need ordering; set to arrive in 4-6 weeks. Here it is ** April 2023, the chair is not fixed, and my warranty has now expired in March 2023. I have contacted my local Farmers Home Furniture, the original place of purchase, numerous times. I have been informed the warranty company that evaluated my chair is no longer in business with Farmers Furniture, it would have been nice to know this five months ago, that my part is showing as ordered, but they have no clue as to when it will be here. They also informed me that since my warranty is now out, I will have to pick up the part from the store, if it ever arrives, and then wait on them to send a technician to replace said part. I have been waiting well over six months for this company to honor a warranty that I purchased. It is one excuse after another each time I call them. I feel as if I have been treated unfair, lied to, and have not received the service which was paid for.Business Response

I bought a couch and loveseat from this company as well as an extra warranty. Both the couch and the loveseat are broken a year later. They sent some out to at least get the recliner in a resting position. Then they closed the case. Now they are saying they have to come back to my home, despite me sending pictures as requested two days ago, and it’s a manufacturer issue. I am stuck with two broken pieces of furniture and they are claiming it’s a manufacturer problem. I bought an extra warranty from them. It’s shady business practices and now I’m the one out several thousand dollars.Business Response

I purchased a sofa on *** ** 2023. I requested that the sofa be converted to a sleeper. I was able to pick it up a week later. After getting the sofa home and using the sleeper for the first time, I found that the mattress was coming apart at the seams. I called the local branch to have a technician come and inspect it. The technician did not come out until **** * at which time he explained that he had never seen this issue before and would have it replaced. A couple weeks went by and I did not hear anything else. I reached out to the local branch for an update when I was informed that the order was just put in and they would call me with an update. A couple more weeks go by and I still didn't hear anything so I called again. They claimed it had been shipped but didn't know if it was shipped directly to me or to the local office but they would call me to let me know. Weeks go by and still no call. I have called and called and emailed the corporate office several times and I am still getting the run around and still do not have my mattress. It has now been three months since I purchased my sofa and I still do not have the full enjoyment of my sofa. I am having no luck with this customer service or business.Business Response

we got furniture from farmers home furniture in decherd,tn .since day one it wasn't what we agreed to buy employee said it was after returning to store we seen what we had originally picked out he said not a problem. I’m October of 2021 we started an account in my husbands name at the ****** ** location. We got a living room suit that included a 2 piece sectional, ottoman, & 2 end tables. We also purchased a ***** 65 in Tv and a TV stand that has a fire place installed inside it. The TV stand has stood strong however our living room suit has fallen apart. The couches are ripping in 7 different places as well as the ottoman. The end tables were barely held together because the legs snapped easily. I contacted corporate a few months back and they said they would contact us. I contacted the store and he said do you think it can be sewed back together. I told him no it’s a bigger issue than a busted seam. He said he would have someone contact me so they could try to fix the issue. No one has contacted except the store employees begging for their payment. We are not more than 30 days behind. I don’t wanna keep paying on it because im gonna have to buy a brand new couch. They haven’t even attempted to make it right. Im tired of paying on this account due to them not caring. The TV has never worked correctly either. It blanks out and stops working multiple times a day. They tried to replace the TV once but the employees busted the new TV on the way to our house & we got stuck with our old one. They never tried to fix the situation after that back in February of 2022. I don’t mind paying for the TV stand but im almost certain I’ve paid that off due to it being worth 400$ & we’ve been paying for a year & 6 months. Our pay off is in December of this year but I feel like we’ve paid for literal junk! I really want a refund so I can buy a living room suit that won’t fall apart and still be expected to pay.Business Response

We bought a bunk bed set for my son for his birthday in February. We had the bed 3 total days and the bed broke.. like literally can’t be fixed broke.. the slats holding the bed are weak and cheap.. mind you we paid 2000$ for this bed.. 400$ was the mattress.. we called to tell them our son would have to sleep on the floor but the bed needed to be fixed. We purchased the warranty. They said they would see how long it would take and have warranty people come out… one month later!!! They come out.. All this time my son has been sleeping on the floor.. not his new bed.. they arrive and look at the bed and said they would let us know something in 4-6 weeks.. this is not right.. And farmers still wants their money. Every month on time.. I have purchased furniture from them before.. always paid my payment and finished out paying for 3000$ worth of furniture they should not treat me like this. I don’t want this bed anymore. I want them to get this cheap **** out of my home.. oh and I forgot to mention the bed that’s broke in pieces has to stay in my house till they are finished with what they are gonna do.. the way it broke is in very sharp points.. I purchased a twin sized daybed with trundle a trundle bed underneath from Farmer Home Furniture. Within 2 months the from board that you sit on when you sit down on the bed broke. We had purchased the warranty and Farmers said they would order the part. This took over a month. Now just a few months later the same part has broken again only now both the footboard anchors and one of the headboard anchors have broken as well. The bed is completely unusable. I contacted Farmers and they tried to say my 16 year son was to heavy for the bed. The weight limit is 500lbs, he weights 280. The problem is that all the boards are pressboard that comes apart easily and the screws just fall right out. My younger son sleeps in the trundle part for the time being and he could have been injured when this bed fell apart, my older son was in the bed when in fell and could have been hurt. Farmers Home is saying they will have a technician come out and take photos to see what parts need to be replaced. Replacing the same parts over and over is madness when the materials are so cheaply made they fall apart within such a short period of time. This bed was almost $1000. I expected better quality for that price. I do not recommend EVER purchasing one of these cheap, cardboard beds. They are dangerous!!!Business Response

I bought 2 tables and a middle coffee table and 2 lamps… I told the boss that my coffee table they sent the wrong legs when I put it together it just kept coming apart… well he told me that he could order me another so I said ok… thank you so much… well my table finally came in… but it was the wrong one… so he said there was nothing else he could do.. mean to say that I bought all of it from there… I ask could he take the 2 end tables back and just swap it out … that way I could have all 3… he said he couldn’t do that either… I am not pleased at all about his decision… I paid for a coffee table and couldn’t get what I ask for or neither did he offer my money back… I will never buy anything from there again… all I wanted was my coffee table that matches with my end tables…Business Response
