We are currently under contract for garbage and recycling pick up with Waste Connections who recently was bought our previous pick-up service, American Disposal. Garbage pickup service has been marginal. Trash and container left in the street. They have not picked up our recyclables on the last three pickup dates (Every Two weeks) for the last 6 weeks. I called customer service after the 05/10 pickup was missed and they promised a pickup within 48 hours. That did not happen.I have sent multiple reports of non-pickup but all I have gotten was that their camera footage is showing that my container was not out. That is not true. I leave it out for days when they do not pickup to the point that it kills my grass under the container.This is ridiculous that I am having to pay for a service that I am not receiving. I am considering cancelling but apparently, they have an excessive penalty for cancelling out of contract.Initial Complaint

Garbage and Recycling were scheduled for 5/9/24.The garbage men took the recycling and not the garbage. The containers are clearly labeled and it was evident what was trash versus what was recycling. I followed up on 5/9 and was told that a recovery truck would be out by 7 pm on 5/9. They failed to come. I called twice on 5/10 and was told that I was on the list and garbage would be picked up by 7:00. It was yet to be picked up.Initial Complaint

I moved homes late last year. I transferred service from 3800 Running Fox to *********************** in ******** **. I talked extensively with you al about this move, and was told to leave my cans and you would collect them from the rental, while also delivering new cans to the new house. You said you 'think it would get the new tenants to start service with you' which is likely a legal issue, but certainly shows moral turpitude. Your service in our area has created a very negative reputation for your business. You routinely misss stops and once missed my trash cans THAT WERE ON THE STREET but your driver overlooked them. This was in or around Jan 2024. I reached out to discuss this poor service. You stated you would not rectify the situation until pickup over two weeks later. I changed companies because you were not providing the service you promised in our agreement. In just 3 months, your company missed over 4 pickups. Now, you are threatenings me unless I pay you because yo9ur company is failing. Please stop all collection efforts AND COME GET YOUR **** TRAQSH CANS. Or tell me when and where to bring them and I will bring them to you. In any case, service charges should be suspended, and any collection effort will be met with legal action, including informing the GA attorney general about your shady practices. Lastly, I spoke with area about cancelling service, and she actually went through with cancelling the service. fact I have confirmation of a cancellation that cocrujed in late winter 2024 BUT IT WAS FOR 3800 RUNNING FOX....THE SERVICE ADDRESS YOU ALREADY WERE NO LONGER SERVICING BECAUSE INSTITUTED A TRANSFER OF SERVICE. We are charged for weekly trash pickup and biweekly recycling pickup. This waste disposal service provider regularly does not pickup as scheduled. This results in ** having to spend countless hours on the phone with them trying to have our trash and recycling picked up. And when they do pick up our recycling - it is emptied into a normal trash truck with normal trash. I am NOT receiving recycling services.Initial Complaint

Before a formal complaint is lodged please note I do not have a proper address for Waste Connections as all of their replies come from *********************************************** There phone number is ************. I want to be sure the complaint is against the correct company. I pay quarterly for trash and recycle pickup. Dec 2023 - Feb 2024 was paid. March 2024 - May 2024 has been paid as well. My recycling bin has not been picked up per their "every other week Wednesday pickup" since mid-January 2024. (they did make 1 special recycle pickup in February, after multiple complaints). I asked for a refund, not a credti, for missed recycling services "paid for but not rendered" MULTIPLE TIMES. All i get is canned email replies telling me what a valued customer I am and they will issue a future credit when I specifically said "I DO NOT WANT CREDIT. I WANT A REFUND FOR SERVICES PAID BUT NOT RENDERED"!. They even had the audacity to tell me they had videos of the recycling being picked up. When I asked for copies of the videos they did not address my request but instead sent "yet another canned response telling me what a valued customer I am and that future credit would be issued. Today is Thursday March 21,2024. Yesterday was both trash and recycling pickup day "and again" only trash was picked up "NOT RECYCLING". Any efforts to recover money spent for services paid for but not rendered has been futile to date. Hence this complaint to the BBB. According to my calculations they owe me $31.47 to date for 6 missed recycle pickups. ($141.63 per quarter = 18 pickups at $7.86 per pickup. 12 trash pickups + 6 recycle pickups = 18 total pickups per quarter) Thank you for your time.Business Response

I have received many multiple emails from Waste Connections over the past 2 plus years regarding my unsatisfactory service.
