      I scheduled an appointment with Casteel to fix an issue with my furnace. The gentleman told me the issue was with my thermostat. He try to charge me $500 for a $30.00 thermostat. He didnt remove or install any parts to fix my furnace. He gives me a bill of $407.00. The bill doesnt show a breakdown on what he did to justify this bill. I feel this particular technical is taking advantage of customers. Be aware.

      We had to replace upstairs and downstairs units about 5 years ago. We also had them install up lights and hepa filters to keep the mold, found in all attics, down. The units were both upgraded because they didnt have what we wanted in stock. That was the good news. The bad news is the outside unit of one was not wired right. We found that out after several technicians came out and supposedly fixed the problem. The fourth actually climb in the unit to fix it. The attic part of one unit kept filling the pan up with water and tripping the unit off. Nex problem is when there is a significant storm that causes power outage the upstairs attic shuts off causing us to call a tech out again. It is usually a two day wait. Being elderly it is best for us to stay in a hotel until the unit is back on.

      We have used Casteel for about 12 years. They do very professional work, prompt responses and excellent communication, every technician has been knowledgeable and kind. As a home owner, we have had plenty of opportunities to call on Casteel and will do so in the future.

      This company came to service my AC on 04/05/25, just to service it. He changed the filters which I had already. He did something on the outside , hosed it down with water and started everting was working fine. My downstairs unit hasnt worked since he left. The motor is not turning and it is HOT downstairs. It was nice and cold and working when he arrived. I WANT my unit working like it was before he came and broke it. BAD SERVICE I give a - 0.

      They came here and charged us $206 to do nothing and tell us what we already know. Waste of our time and money. And then quoted us for additional wrong things. My water heated is barely 3 years old. Companies like these are a scam and Im getting my water heated fixed for $200 SAME DAY. and the technician acted like he was doing us a favor by making up discounts. Like why mention $89 to to nothing and doing a diagnostic to tell us what we already know. Such a waste of my time and money. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL.

      So, I purchased a brand-new system from this company. Immediately after install, I started having problems with the unit. NO HEAT!!!!!! They are great at sending people out for repairs but had no luck fixing it. They would send technicians to my home twice a month to work on this brand-new unit. For two years of repeatedly sending technicians to my house, repair my heat and was not able to make me happy. I had no choice but to call another company this year. I could not deal with another year of high bills because I had to use my stove and heaters to heat my home. I called CASTEEL. Casteel was able to fix the issue in one night compared to two years. Way to go Casteel, and shame on you ARS. It is great to have heat after suffering for two years. You should give me back my money or at least a discount on the unit.

      I had an awful experience with Casteel Heating, Plumbing, ******************************************* and would never recommend them to anyone. First, they completely missed the initial appointment and didnt even bother calling until after the scheduled time to reschedulethis was after I had already taken a day off work to wait for the technician.When they finally showed up, they charged me an outrageous $389 just to tell me what was wrongabsolutely no work was done. To make matters worse, they quoted me nearly $10,000 to fix a burnt breaker! They tried to scare me by claiming it was a major fire hazard and insisted that I replace my entire electrical panel instead of just the faulty breaker.I ended up going with another company that charged $80 for the diagnosis and only $200 to replace THREE breakers. Casteels prices are outrageous, and their tactics felt like blatant fear-mongering to upsell unnecessary services.Stay far away from these thieves. Save your time, money, and sanity by going with a trustworthy company instead.

      We used Casteel's services for our old furnace unit. Casteel came to the house, gave us a quote, and installed a new condensate pump. We have used Casteel previously, and even though we knew their prices were not the best, their service was good. After installing the condensate pump, we obtained a quote for a new furnace. We decided to get two other quotes from two different companies before going with Casteel. We realized the following:They charged us nearly $1,200, while other companies would have charged less than $500 for the installation of the condensate pump.They hot-wired the pump into the furnace, cut off the acceptable plug, wired it with wire nuts, and taped it over. Why did they not add a switch or acceptable combo switch at the furnace?Also, they did not wire the safety switch into the furnace to prevent flooding if the pump fails or cannot remove the water. Then, they said the furnace was unsafe and turned off the gas valve.Also, they quoted us the wrong size for the unit, giving us a smaller unit. The price for the unit was outrageous, and it was not of the best quality.When I called Casteel to let them know all of these things and that I would want an adjustment of the price for the pump that we paid almost three times the cost compared to the price given by any other company, they gave us the runaround. I asked to talk to a manager, but they never called us back. We still had water in the drain pan. Needless to say, we are using ******** ******************************************* to purchase our new furnace. They sure gave us the respect and consideration we deserve as customers. They also have better prices and better quality. Their workmanship is far better than Casteel's.

      We had a new HVAC system installed in May 2024. We started having problems from day one,. Firstly the install called a leak in our attic which caused damage to our ceiling. It took me several calls to get anyone out to ***air the damage. Secondly the units were not cooling to the correct temperature. We had a technician come out 3 times to ***air and even ***lace the thermostat which did not resolve the issue. Finally I asked for a supervisor to come out who told us that this system was a new supplier for them and they had the wrong configurations and they had many complaints. He said he had the new configurations and it would be solved. It was not. It is literally impossible to speak with a Manager or Supervisor that this company. You have to call their call center and get the same response that they will escalate the matter and then no-one calls you back. I sent an e-mail to a customer service manager who told me that she will pass this along to area supervisor. No-one called me back and when I followed up, I did not get a ***ly to my e-mail. I also contacted my Sales *** who had told us that Casteel offers 100% customer satisfaction. He assured me that he would escalate the matter. I never heard from anyone. When I contacted the Sales *** again, he did not respond either. We had financed the system through Good Leap and they contacted me to follow up on the install. When I told them the problems we were having, they reached out to Casteel who told them the issue had been resolved. When I told them that it had not, they reached out again, and finally a supervisor called and sent another technician out. He said the same thing, they had the wrong configurations and it should be resolved. It is not resolved. I left 2 more messages for the supervisor and have not heard back. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They do not care for their customer at all, there is no Management and they will just take your money and let you deal with the consequences.
