The worse dental treatment ever. The process for my daughters braces has been HORRIFIC!!! she has had these things on for over 3 years and they were of no help after they collected all the money they could from her grandpa that was paying for the treatment for her. She STILL has them on. It's literally going to be almost 4 years and not a thing has been done, if I Could figure out how I could *** them I would, who knows how this is going to affect her teeth and gums and they have no concern with the patient, But why would they if they already got all they could from her money wise.Initial Complaint

I was taking my daughter to Cortland dental for dentistry paid through her insurance ********* They had suggested she needed braces and had severe crowding. I put a down payment of 300 down and started a payment agreement of 100 monthly since I was told right smiles would not pay for the services she needed. The braces were put on in May and her appointments kept getting canceled and they kept taking money from my account while my daughters appointments kept canceled after complaining to the office they admit after months of cancellations they to not have an orthodontist for any of their locations. My daughters wire to her braces ended up shifting so badly it was jabbing her throat I finally found a new orthodontist in our state who has to now remove all the braces cortland put on because she needs a pallet expander. ******** put brackets on all her baby teeth which now needs to get removed. ******** refused to give me a proper refund even after I also paid a payment in advance, I was told a check of 193 would be reimbursed its going on a month now never received a check not to mention I have paid over 593 of the **** balance not including the 300 down payment. After researching Kool smiles and cortland dental I also found out they have been *** for ******** fraud thus the name change to cortland dental. I dont understand how this business is still operating.Initial Complaint

My daughter started receiving treatment with clear liner braces at Topaz Dentistry in ******** ** in December of 2019. Her treatment time was 18 months, which was drawn out due to Covid, the orthodontist only being in our area once a week, never being able to get in touch with anyone, and being scheduledon days the office wasn'teven open. I paid the amount on the signed agreement for her treatment in full by March 2021. Since then, they have tried to get $660.54 that they said we owed because of insurance. Insurance already paid their portion at this point, and her treatment had been paid in full for over a year. There was no reason for them to even run insurance again for the same treatment. They have charged $100 over the agreed amount, and she finally had her final appointment today, WAY over how long it should've taken, and they charged ANOTHER $65.15 they said we owed. For years I have dealt with this company continuously trying to get money not owed to them, just to pull my records after her appointment today to find out they got away with it anyway. When this company was Kool Smiles and Resolution Dental they would operate the same way, trying to get more than they're owed. During covid they would charge government assisted families $15 a child to pay for their PPE. I've signed papers declining a treatment at which point they performed that treatment anyway. During ******* wasn't allowed in the back with my child, and upon returning to the treatment area to get her I walk in a the doctor trying to sale a bleaching kit to my child. They are crooks and someone needs to look hard at this place. There is no way that I would even recommend this place to anyone. Blessed to be free from them. Good Luck to anyone else using them. My name is *************************** and I can be reached at ************* in regards to dent office Cortland ********************************************* in ***************************, 715 *************** . I have a 14yr old son who is an existing patient at this facility . The facility started braces and paid by Ins and will not schedule a f/u. I have contacted the office on several occasions to get my son an appointment for a f/u . Now I have a minor with braces on his teeth that no other provider with work with because they are not the ones who started the ortho procedure . My son is a baby and has had these braces too long to not be seen . I schedule with the facility today and they told me it has been canceled . Went to ****** Dental on Bluffton Road the address is the same as it is showing on the BBB website but it stating a different name with an LLC not ****** Dental in *************** *******. Took my two year old daughter in on 8/15/22 for cleaning was told my child had 9 cavities and needed crowns on the majority of them. I took her to a different dentist for a second opinion and requested all her referral paperwork to be sent to dentist they would not send them and told me i could only get her xrays and they would send them to my personal email. never recieved them, called the next day and finally got them. the new dentist said that she did not have 9 and that it was just enamel wearing off, nothing that would need a filling let alone a crown. To top it off the night after her appointment, my daughter now has ***** fever and her throat is red with bumps all over her throat.Initial Complaint

Card was charged for food that was not ordered or eaten. Charged card then called the cops to have us physically removed after overcharging and throwing away food that was ordered. Was embarrassed and ashamed for how we were handled. We went there because my grandma passed and she liked that restaurant. Just wanted my money back or at least the food that was charged to my card that I didn't eat. I want an apology for the lady loudly said my card was declined but the third time when she over charged me it went through. The manager purposely tried to embarrass me and laughed at me after stealing from me. Had officers ****** me and my mother out. One officer was polite agreed with us and the other officer knew the manager and didn't care to hear me he just wanted to remove me from the restraunt and got physical with me when I did absolutely nothing wrong I wasn't loud or disrespectful. I didn't get heard and didn't stand a chance. It was the worst experience I've ever had anywhere. I also recorded to show the treatment we got and that I wasn't causing problems.Initial Complaint

I have tried repeatedly over the past 6 months to obtain the *** transfer form needed form my daughter to transfer to a new orthodontist. After repeatedly being unable to schedule an appointment I requested the form, which is necessary to transfer her balance and care plan to the new ortho office. I have called the office directly, called the customer service number, as well as, gone in office multiple times only to be told the person that handles that isnt in today everytime even when coming on Thursday or Friday as they told me. My daughters braces have not been tightened in months! And I cant even take her to the new orthodontist until they receive the documents needed.Initial Complaint

This business calls constantly, after I was "removed" from their list. They call more now than before. So far for july, 5 times. They called 12 times in june. At this point, it's harassment. I would like them to stop.
