    When I signed up for service, I specifically asked if the products and service were safe for birds as I have pet birds that do free fly. The salesman stated it was completely safe he had me sign on his phone but did not allow me to see the contract and did not advise me that there was a 3 day right of recession. A few days later I was researching more about the product and service and found that there were warnings and that it was not completely safe for my birds. I called to cancel and then called multiple times and asked to speak with managers as I should not have to be penalized a $200 cancellation fee when I was misled by the sales person and not advised of a right of recession. One supervisor told me that "this product WILL get rid of birds" and another advised me that I would only get the fee waived if my birds had actually died. This was truly horrible experience between being misled, deceived, and treated with bad customer service.

    This company is engaged in unethical and possibly fraudulent business practices. I have a personal policy if never signing up for long contracts for any business service . Ecoshioed came to our home last year and I agreed to hire them. I told them it would be on a short term basis and I would not sign anything long term or agree to any long term contract . My wife was present when the salesperson came to our door and we signed the service agreement . We recently contacted them to cancel . Frankly the service is doing nothing for the big problems in our heavily wooded neighborhood . So we told them we were cancelling. My wife was out on hold for 30 minutes while the customer servicepersonturned telemarketer then tried to update her, argued with her about cancelling , and told her we would be charged a large service feee for canceling before the end of the 24 months . Im essence the salesman who signed us up lied. And eco shield then ignored our request and lied to us further about the contract . Furthermore ,after canceling our service with then several days ago, our neighbor contacted us and told us that ecohield was going around the neighborhood telling people that we were customers as well as serval other people in the neighborhood . After checking with multiple neighbors , it was learned that the eco shield representative had been lying about this as well. Im fact almost no one else in the neighborhood had signed up for the service . These are all common schemes used by many unscrupulous door to door businesses to get business and hound people on faulty device contracts. It is obvious by the hundreds of complaints on the BBB website that ecoshiled has indeed done this before to other consumers . Im actually going to print off all these complaints and give them to the Georgia ************************* to show that they are engaged in targeting neighborhoods in ******* and ask that their business licenses be revoked. . I am also contacting the local police department to report this

    I established pest control with EcoShield in June of 2022 through a door to door salesman. He told me that there was a promotion that would waive the $200 service establishment fee and that I would only be responsible for the bi-monthly charge of $160. I was concerned over the high pricepoint and asked if I could cancel. I was informed by the salesman that I would be charged the $200 fee if I canceled before I had received 6 months of service, but after this 6 month period the cancelation would incur no fees. This was satisfactory to me and he pulled out an iPad and asked me to sign on the line he scrolled to. I was contacted by EcoShield aftwards to confirm I had signed up for service. No details about the contract were mentioned beyond the $160 bi-monthly service fee, and I confirmed. This month (July 2023) I decided to cancel my service in favor of a more cost-effective self-service approach. Upon calling to cancel, I was informed that I would be charged a fee for canceling before the end of my 24 month contract. I explained that I was told something very different by the sales rep, but the person at the call center told me it was in my service agreement that I signed online. I told them I did not sign online, but signed in person and had not seen the full contract. They informed me that I was still liable for the fee since I had signed the contract.From my perspective, this is a predatory business practice. I was given false information about what I was signing, and I trusted I was not being lied to ******* learned). I felt pressure to sign on the spot and I feel I was taken advantage of by the business. I acted in good faith and I expected the same from EcoShield. The fair thing to do would be to remove the $200 charge from my account and not ask for signatures at the door.

    Cancel service on June 15, 2023 and was billed $161. Now Ecoshield wants to bill me $454 to pay for the full amount of services they wouldve done for a whole year. They also stated that there is a balance on my account after the fact that I canceled my account on June 15. This company is a scam.

    They came to my house told me. That they guarantee bugs will leave home and outside. I paid 189 and they can back next month applied again and I was charged 189 again in less than 2 months I paid over ****** for a scam. They never told me about having to agree to contract and coming back to my home in less than 30 days total rip off

    I cancelled my service with echo shield after 23 months. The service was ineffective and i wanted to cancel the service. No harsh feelings , it was time for a change. upon cancellation, I immediately began to receive harassing and annoying calls , emails and texts. In these messages were request for a $162 cancellation fee. I was told i need to complete my last month of service which also by chance is $162 . Recently i have been threatened that if i don't pay this fee it will go to a third party collector and may effect my credit. This method eco ****** uses of a service contract is unethical and unprofessional. this attempt to enforce a penalty here for cancellation of a service will not go unheard. this is the reason for the complaint.

    Last year my family and I decided to try this business a try and had them spray our home and they were suppose to clean spider webs from the basement. They sprayed and only cleaned about half the webs from the basement. But a few weeks later I was noticing no difference in the amount of small critters still being found in our home. Since they charge more than most but with the same result we canceled the service. A week later they came out again and tried to spray but we were home and told them we canceled the service and told them to leave. They did. Apparently some other time while we were away a few weeks or a month later they came out again and sprayed. No one was home so we could not stop them. We already been called and messaged that we canceled the service way before they came out again. But since they sprayed they then attempted to bill us and we refused to pay. We canceled the service. We already sent your other workers away the next time they came out again. But we still have not paid this bill for $130.00. Now they have chosen to send the bill to a debt collection agency who is also trying to collect $130.00. Completely unprofessional and a rip off. Basically trying to force us to pay for a service we did not ask for and had no way of stopping them spraying by themselves the third time. I need this Bill for $130.00 and this debt agency to be erased. It should not exist if we been canceled the service. This business needs to be shut down completely!

    I am rejecting this response because: the representative that came to my door said nothing about having to complete 7 cycles. And how can you expect me to stay working with a business that I called twice to do the same job and it wasn't completed both times. The bugs were one issue and the second issue was your guys were suppose to clean out the basement regarding spiderwebs because we had just brought the house. The first time I noticed spiderwebs were still everywhere,  so I called them to come out again and they only did half. So the mixture between paying more for insect control, still having insects in the home, and spiderwebs not being cleaned why would we continue your service? And before you say, "our business does not do spiderwebs or advertise that", your representative guaranteed that for our home. Also I had already told him that we were planning on traveling for 5 months following that month so within a month there would be no way to do 7 cycles. 7 cycles was never mentioned. Your representative only lowered the price when I advised him that my wife had already booked another company whose price was much lower.

    I am rejecting this response because: We received no called after we signed up with your representative (who did not discuss with me about having to complete 7 cycles). That did not happen. Also as I stated, when you're representative came to our home for ** to try your product. WE ADVISED HIM THAT IN AUGUST WE WERE LEAVING TO GO OUT OF THE COUNTRY FOR A FEW MONTHS! We canceled when we saw no improvement and called your workers to come out twice to clear the basement of spiderwebs that was never done.

    The company sales Rep came to my house the other day, gave me a deal with discount for initial service and a free ***** days follow up service. By 04/25/2023, the service person arrived my house a little bit earlier before me, then he told my wife need to sign something before the service, my wife does not understand English and it ended up signed up for a one year contract, once I got home he never mentioned it to me! And 05/22/2023, The other service person came to my house for the "follow up" service which I thought it's free according to the conversation with the sales Rep, it was 9am in the morning, my wife was home alone. And then I found out the company charged the service fee as well! Isn't it a SPAM AND FRAUD? Stay away from the company!

    Door to door salesman came offering pest control services. He gathered my information and had me initial for an appointment the next day. I tried to cancel the appointment at which time they told me I had actually initialed a ************************************************************************** "no." He then then stated if I needed to cancel my appointment the next day to send a text message and "there will be no problem, I'm not collecting any payment, the contract you will sign has several signatures and will be completed at your first appointment." I feel this was deceiving and do not wish to be in a contract with this company, as I clearly stated to him and he assured me I would not be entering into. The business is titled EcoShield Pest Solutions located in ******* **. The service agent that spoke with me was named ******.
