They said they could get rid of ********* bees, they can't, they said I would have no ants, we did. I had their service for almost a year and only saw improvements with water bugs. I moved to a new home that had a termite bond and decided to move on from their company due to that reason, now Eco shield is trying to charge me 130 to cancel. I paid for poor service for almost a year. The techs were hit and miss. I will never do business with this company again. DO not waste your time they are scam artist.Business Response

We have had repeated issues with this company trespassing on our property, including "inspecting" our side yard for pest without permission or request of service. We have three clear no soliciting/trespassing signs. On 5/8/23, my husband saw the sales rep, and put up an additional sign on the door that said "in a meeting; no soliciting" due to the repeated issues with them ignoring the signs. The rep still knocked on the door. My husband pointed to the sign. The rep lied and stated he was working with our neighbors. Thinking it was an access issue, my husband asked what the rep needed. The rep started a sales pitch. My husband said "seriously, there are four no soliciting signs." The rep said "those don't do anything." Later I saw the rep walk up to a mailbox garden bed and kick the flowers of the stems. ** April 2023, I attempted to cancel my service with EcoShield. The service was not doing a very good job keeping bugs away, and although the company said I could just schedule more treatments I found it extremely difficult to communicate clearly with the company. I was forced into scheduling by text message and was assigned random days that I would them need to call and change. I wasnt always successful getting the offshore agents to understand my needs. I had service providers show up on days I wasnt expecting them and refuse to leave until I called the 800 number and rescheduled for another day. The area manager who showed up that day with the tech told me I could opt out of text-based scheduling, but I was never successfully able to have my appts made via phone call. On top of this, the local number funnels all calls directly overseas. After finally getting my account cancelled, I was told I would owe them $200 for discontinuing service. This is wrong on so many levels. Despite hours wasted on hold and speaking to customer care and managers, they will not do the right thing and simply let me walk away. They have threatened me with collections, despite my leaving for obvious cause. I would like for my account balance to be removed in light of the poor service I have received.Business Response

Contract ends 5/15/23 and notice has been given on 4/13/23. Company has not acknowledged cancellation and appears to have a history of harassing customers who wants to cancel. I have had 6 bimonthly treatments resulting in fulfilling the one year of bimonthly treatments. Based on the number of complaints for this business, I think there is a clear pattern of fraud and coercion. Someone came to my home representing this company. He claimed Ecoshield was more expensive, but this was because they offered bespoke service and guaranteed quality. He lied about my neighbors already using Ecoshield (which I was able to verify as a lie after living here a few months). I told him I was not interested in a contract, to which he offered a verbal assurance that there was no contract and no penalty for cancelling before two years were up. He said the two years listed in the paperwork was to "guarantee the price" he was offering me for the package. He said after two years, the price would go up, and that was the only reason they used the word "contract." A month later, I decided to give the company a chance. I signed up, and again, the female representative assured me that there was no contract. She said, think of it as a "two year trial period," with no penalty for cancelling. I received service from them about three or four times, and was dismayed to find that the promises the guy made were lies - their service was subpar and overpriced. When I attempted to cancel the first time, the representative kept me on the line for thirty minutes, refusing to let me cancel. He kept lowering the price, which implies to me that their prices are fraudulent to begin with. First it was a discount for the first month, and then a permanent discount. But he refused to let me cancel. I hung up with him and waited a few weeks, and then called back to get a different rep to cancel. Again, there was the refusal to let me cancel, as they kept lowering the price. When I said I wanted to cancel, they then said I would owe a $150 cancellation fee, despite my getting assurance from two different company representatives that there would be no cancellation fee. This company is fraudulent and a scam, and everyone should be warned about them.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: there is a clear pattern of employees verbally assuring customers that the agreement is just a formality, and there is no contract. I was assured by two separate employees. So this is clearly a deceptive pattern on the part of this company. Also, considering that I also never received a comprehensive rodent management plan as was promised as part of the initial service, I actually never received the service promised to me. They remain in violation.

I am rejecting this response because: As I mentioned before, your representatives are encouraging people to DISREGARD WHAT IS WRITTEN. I received verbal assurance that I was receiving a two year deal that included rodent. I asked this very specifically and said these were my needs, and that I would not use your company without it. I also repeated twice that I DO NOT SIGN CONTRACTS and was assured that I could disregard what was written. OTHER CUSTOMERS HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN TO THEM AS WELL.The concern with you all is that you are refusing to see that you have a systemic issue with dishonesty and blatant attempts to deceive potential customers for the sake of the sale. You NEED TO ACKNOWLEDGE this is the source of the issue and TAKE STEPS TO ADDRESS IT. And you need to waive the fee you are charging. STOP BEING A COMPANY THAT RELIES ON DISHONESTY AND COERCION.

Hi, I was originally using a company called trugreen and an Eco shield Pest Solutions sales representative came by to offer Pest control services. This company cancelled my original contract with ********, I'm not sure what they said to end the contract. However, they only sprayed once on the day services were obtained. I was scheduled for another appointment in which I was home and a man with a eco shield pest solutions truck entered my driveway. I opened the door and he never came in to spray the inside nor did he spray the outside. He sat in the driveway for a while and then left. I called Ecoshield to report the incident and they sent another technician out. Similar to the first technician Ecoshield sprayed outside and not the inside as promised. I was home at the time and the gentlemen never knocked on the door. He was finished in five minutes and left. I called again they reported the incident and offered to take a percentage off the services. At that point I asked them to speak with a manager because the representative on the phone would not cancel my services. I was told that a manager would call me back later. I did not receive a call back until a week later in which I asked for services that were not being done to be discontinued. I continued to get automated messages for technicians that were supposed to arrive and perform pest control services. Also, never showed up. I called and cancelled my contract for services that were never received. I paid for the initial spray and was billed for services that were not done. I believe that this company provided fraudulent activity and lied to my previous company to obtain customers. I never called trugreen to cancel. This was done on behalf of Ecoshield Pest Solutions. The services that were not provided led me to the decision to discontinue services with this company. Please see the credit card statement below where Ecoshield charged me twice and only one service was fulfilled. EcoShield came to my home and promised a service but did not do a satisfactory job on initial visit. I immediately called and said dont come out again. I signed up for service with this company and the salesman guaranteed both my wife and I that after paying 2 consecutive payments we would not be billed a cancellation fee. However, I did sign the contract and the contract states otherwise but the salesman stated that the cancellation fee would be waived. There is a 100% guarantee policy but I have not been satisfied and have had to call service providers right back to the home because the work was done properly. I called and simply asked to not be billed as the salesman stated but the representative said we can't do that so I asked to cancel my contract and was sent a $150 cancellation fee. I would not like to be charged a cancellation fee because first both my wife and I was told it would be waived and secondly the service has not stood behind the guarantee policy. I still have spider webs and the bugs are still on my deck and I am spraying myself for bugs after paying EcoShield. I was approached by a salesman from this company at my home about pest control for the yard. I already had a pest control company providing services. I was told by the salesman that their service was a little different and it would be a one time fee only of $129. After getting repeated reassurances from the salesperson that it would be a one time fee only, I agreed to the service that day, which was performed. On October 21st 2022, I received a text message from the company that they would be performing a service at my home. I was not aware that I had agreed to ongoing service. I sent a message to the company requesting that I be called prior to the service, and even recieve a text back that I would get a call. No one called me. I then received another charge on my credit card, for $129. I then called the company, and I was informed that I had entered into a 1 year contract with them, and they they had also done a service in August (for which I was also charged, but I had missed on my card statement). They sent me a contract in my email that I had "signed", and the signature on the contract is neither mine nor my wifes. It is not clear to me who signed this contract, since I was not aware of any such contract. The person that signed is not a member of my household.The company did agree to terminate services and waived the fee for this, but would not refund the fee for any of the services provided without my knowledge.My major concern is that this company is getting individuals into 1 year contract without their knowledge or consent, and I believe this to be fraudulent activity.Business Response

NO 100% Satisfaction Money Back Guarantee. This company is a complete scam. They would not cancel my service. Kept telling us they had to keep coming out to try to resolve. Even said they would send a supervisor who never showed up. Anthor technician arrived, apologized and told us that they lie to their customers to get business. We've have more ants and bugs than ever. Nothing they did to resolve helped and would not cancel. They wanted to give discounts for service; no thank you.
