      Im a combat veteran and was looking for a less crowded place to eat for Veterans Day. My family went to the location on ******************* tonight. Our waitress was the rudest, most condescending person *** ever met. I did the right thing and tipped generously anyway thinking maybe shes having a bad night. She didnt even say one word to me after the generous tip. I will never go to a waffle again. This is how they treat veterans on Veterans Day!!

      Waffle House is fraudulently charging to go customers an additional 20% "service fee" to all orders. They DO NOT tell customers about this at all--boycott all WH locations. I will never return to any WH due to their scam.

      Waffle House adopted a 10% Service Charge on all To-Go orders over 25 years ago. The 10% Service Charge is paid directly and entirely to the Servers who handle those To-Go orders. In late 2022, we added a new 10% To-Go Fee on all To-Go orders to help offset rising costs of our To-Go supplies and related items. Signage at each cash register, a sticker at the front door, printed information on each Guest Check and a prominent notice on our printed Dine-In, To-Go and online menus, clearly and plainly disclose the 10% Service Charge and the 10% To-Go Fee for all customers to see before they place a To-Go order. Also, please understand, providing a great dine-in, full service restaurant experience to our customers is the primary focus of our business. We also know that a portion of our customers prefer the convenience of ordering our food To-Go and we appreciate your business. While To-Go business is not our primary focus, we do our best to provide delicious food in high quality packaging which our customers have come to expect. The next time this customer chooses **********************, we invite them to join us for a meal inside our restaurant where we can demonstrate our Hospitality and they can see what has made Waffle House the iconic brand it is today for almost 70 years. We apologize if they were unaware of the fees applied to all To-Go orders or had not noticed the signage until recently and all our Associates appreciate their business.

      I went to waffle house last night only to find nothing but kids hanging out. They only had 1 person actually eating but 7 kids at the table. We had to wait almost 45 mins for them to leave and I seen one of them grab the waitresses tip from the table and put it in his pocket on their way out. They had salt all over the table and kept having the server replace drinks after they poured salt or ketchup in their glasses. Why do customers who are actually wanting to eat having to wait for a table. Not to mention I don't think the lady who waited that table got a *****. My family wasn't the only customer wating for a table. We won't be going back to the kids hang out again.

      Server cussed me and told me "fuck you" when i told her she forgot an item in my to-go order. The cook told me "i dont f****** burn food" when i told him my eggs were scorched. ***************, the district manager, PROMOTED both these employees. He told me he would "deal with them" then promoted them. He is the worst manager i have ever encountered.

      THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!! I saw dust everywhere and I was scared it was going to be in the food.Another thing is the locating was scary and not well protected.The food came at cold and hard as a rock like this is not what I want with my food and money I spent.THe workers were rude and not helpful.What ***** this worst was the bathroom had bugs crawling inside of it and I saw mold and dusty growing on the wall.negative stars

      We are in receipt of the customer's concerns. Our records indicate there have been multiple messages left by the management team as well as the following statement being emailed to the customer on 7/28/23 at ****** ET by the **************** Representative named in this review, explaining our to go fees:'We instituted an automatic 10% Service Charge over 25 years ago on all to-go orders for the servers who prepare them. In mid-November 2022, we implemented an additional 10% Supply Fee on all to-go orders in order to help offset some of the rising expenses for our to-go packaging rather than switching to inferior options. As with our longtime posted 10% Service Charge, our restaurants have signage posted at the register, a sticker at the front door, and printed information on the Guest Check as well as the menu notifying customers of 10% Supply Fee. We apologize if you were unaware of these additional fees applied to all to-go orders or had not noticed the signage until recently and appreciate you providing your feedback.'Again, we apologize if the customer has not noticed any of the various posted notices regarding this policy. However, we feel our ********************* Team as well as our **************** Representative have made every possible attempt to adequately explain this policy to the customer and provide them details as to when, where, and for how long list policy has been posted.

      Tonight, I visited the Waffle House in ******* ******** on ******************* for a to-go order. The lady who took my order overcharged me at first and I informed her that I usually don't pay that much for that particular order. She started giving me reasons as to why the total came to what it was. I suggested that she get someone to help her because it seems she didn't know what she was doing. Another employee came over to help her and they finally got the price correct. The other employee accused me of rudeness merely because I suggested to the employee to have someone help her. The other employee who helped then stated "She is new and If you are going to be rude, you can go to the other Waffle house down the street". That remark was sort of bothersome to me because I didn't feel I was being rude merely for expressing an opinion/suggestion. I replied, "OK, I will do that." I turned to leave then decided I didn't want to waste gas driving to the other Waffle house when I was already at one. I told them that I wanted to put in the order I originally made. They refused me service at that point. They then told me to leave and I felt that they had to serve me because they had no actual cause to refuse me service. I asked to speak to the manager. They called their manager via phone, and instead of talking with me, to resolve the issue, the manager had them call the cops on me. I felt that was poor management and a total lack of discretion on her part. I've never been arrested for anything, and certainly never kicked out of a place of business for expressing an opinion or making a suggestion. When the cops arrived, they stated that because Waffle House is a private company I had to leave if they refused me service. I've purchased food from Waffle House many times, but will not go there again after that horrible experience. I was accused of being rude, but the employees, who are supposed to be professional, took my remark personal and retaliated by refusing me service.

      We are in receipt of the comments entered by this guest via our website contact form on 7/18/23 at 2:02 am EST as well as their follow up call at 9:04 am EST the same date.Our records indicate the Division Manager attempted to reach the guest, but did not receive an answer to any of the messages left. Furthermore, review of video footage of the guest's visit indicated behavior by the customer towards our staff resulted in the police being called and the guest being argumentative with the responding law enforcement.We are sorry this guest was unable to enjoy their experience as anticipated. However, while we are in the service industry, our staff and Management are not required to tolerate abusive, demeaning, or belittling language, including profanity.

      I had a problem with my local Waffle House in December of 2022. I have talked to Waffle House four times on the corporate level asking to be contacted to address my concern. No one has ever called me back. Horrible customer service, corporate people are afraid to talk to customers who have a complaint about an unfair business practice.

      We are in receipt of the customer's comments concerning the ******************** not being able to process his online order due to a power outage in the area. Furthermore, our records indicate several attempts to explain to the customer that without power, the cash registers do not work therefore online orders do not transmit to the unit. Additionally, it was explained that since the order did not transmit to the location, the hold of funds for his order were released 24 hours after the attempted order.Every possible attempt to explain how the power outage affected our inability to receive the customer's order was made, we apologize if the customer did not understand or agree.

      I AM PREGNANT, HUNGRY, AND PISSEDDDDD!!! We went to the Stetson and ***** location in *********, **. This waitress and the customer before my husband, got into an altercation because she rang the lady up wrong. When it was my husbands turn to order, ***** was obviously already frustrated. My husband had questions about the grit bowl and she closed the window in his face and said he was doing too much so shes not taking his order. I got out to try and talk to her and asked would she let me take it and she said no if I was with him. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! There was no reason for her not to try and come to some sort of understanding and not take our order. So now we are on our way to another location which is 30 mins away at almost 11 at night. And did I mention IM PREGNANT AND HUNGRY?!!! I WANT TO BE COMPENSATED IN SOME FORM FOR THIS AND SHE AND THE OTHER EMPLOYEES WHO DID NOTHING TO HELP NEED TO BE REPRIMANDED!!! I will definitely be up there in the morning to talk to the manager!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUSSSS!!! Im so happy she smiled for the camera!!!

Unfortunately, when entering her comments, she did not include the necessary information for us to identify which Waffle House location she visited.
