I overpaid on a loan with this company. On march 7, 2025 I spoke with them about the over payment. I was told they had a check in their possession for me that I could come pick up or they could mail it if I wished. I opted for the check to be mailed because i couldnt get there before they closed due to my work schedule. Not a problem. They were happy to mail it. 2 weeks go by and no check. I called and was told it had been mailed. Over 3 weeks later now and I have not received the check. I called for several days and no one answered. I left a message. No return call. I called repeatedly today, no answer but when i call from my daughters phone they answered. I explained that i have not received the check. I was told it was mailed to my address and they had not received the check returned to them. I attempted to ask for the check to be voided and replaced but i was not allowed to speak. The woman on the phone just kept talking over me. She said at one point that this is the reason they encourage people to come pick up their checks. I then hung up because that is not the conversation we initially had. They have been rude and misleading from the beginning. The totality of it all has lead to the filing of this complaint.

I took out a title loan with Delaware Title Loan on 3/7/24 for [5000]. Since then, the company has engaged in predatory lending practices, charging excessive interest rates that make it nearly impossible to pay off the balance. I have made payments totaling 9475 so far, yet the principal barely decreases due to the extreme interest structure.I contacted the company on 3/17/25 requesting a fair interest rate reduction or a reasonable settlement plan, but they refused to negotiate in good faith. Instead, they stated they would only offer a settlement at the end of the month without providing clear details, making it difficult to assess the offer properly.I request that Delaware Attorney General take a look at these unfair lending practices and require the lender to provide a fair repayment plan that reflects ethical lending standards, rather than trapping borrowers in a cycle of unmanageable payments. Also and have been making bi-weekly payments of $379 since 03/22/2024. However, each time I make a payment, I am charged an additional $3.79 convenience fee that was not clearly disclosed in my original loan agreement.I requested a full breakdown of my payments, interest charges, and fees, but the lender has failed to provide transparency regarding where my payments are applied and how these fees are legally justified.Additionally:The interest rate is excessive and predatory, making it nearly impossible to pay down the principal.Despite making [9475], my loan balance has barely moved. The lender is engaging in unfair lending practices by imposing extra fees that increase my financial burden.

I took out a loan with them in July and I told them I wanted it for only 6 months. They said they would send me a copy of the contract to my email, but I never got the copy. 3 months later I spoke with the supervisor and I was unable to send what she sent me. It was not clear to me that it was going to be roughly 3k I would be owing back. As of now its roughly about 950, and now I am owing over the amount I borrowed! My payments are 230 dollars a month for a 900 dollar loan. I paid them off 700 plus dollars today to get it but the fact is they did not adhere to what I requested and I paid for more than what was agreed. They didn&#**;t even give me the paper work for when I was done with them. I didn&#**;t even get a copy of the original agreement until today when I was done with them and they thought I was on a 24 months. I was dealing with the location on ***********************************************.

This is my effort in trying to reach the company, Missouri Title Loans on ******************* in **************, and let me know again, that I am trying to get caught up with several businesses that I owe money to and that due to health reasons I did not foresee when I obtained the loan that has caused this to be a problem in making ontime payments with them. One of my meds is $600 a month, and Its taken me some time to rearranged my SSDI in order to come up with something that hopefully is doable for both parties. I will, to the best of my ability, try to make a $200 payment each month until the loan debt is salified, starting with this month with a $200.00 payment on the 15th and then the 15th for the months following until the debt is satisfied if this is something that will work for them. Thank you in advance for helping me out. Sincerely, **** *****

      Complaint: 22863584

I am rejecting this response because:

This is first of all not a complain, but there was no other options. I am trying to stress the fact that since the loan was received, I found out I have CLL leukemia. I am just trying to get a message to the company at the store level, that I have every intention of trying to take care of this loan, I am working with my cancer field Drs to try to get meds that my part isn't $600 a month or more. I have to take care of myself, meaning that medicine needs to be purchased and then what I have left - try to cover my bills, i.e. **********************************, *******************, ***********, **. I am using the BBB because I have tried several ways, i.e. calling the main number to Missouri Title Loans, and yet 2-3 times a month they still try to ding my checking account with a $168 debit. I am getting a $1400 stimulus from the **** Please allow me 6-8 weeks to receive this refund and I will go into the local store and make good on this loan. This is the message that I have been trying to get to you, which seems the only way you reply is when the BBB reaches out to you for me. They can now close this as this is all I have to say. Thank You

      Sincerely,

I was responded to as if i was asking about something they did not have the option to e en consuder....then why send me the ad? ....treated as if I was an idiot, mocked, spoken down to, and lastly was made fun of...the lady on phone mimicked what I said, in a voice that I guess they thought was like mine, and included the list that I have....saying back to me what I had just asked her. I got off the phone in a hurry, not saying much else, astonished that people her age would act that way. Now, I find it super difficult to try and call then to make my payment on my loan. I am seeking legal advice if possible to afford in my situation...
