I had taken a title loan out on my car when things were a bit hard. The location in **************** **** closed with no notice to me. I ended up filing bankruptcy and this debt was put into it. The debt was paid off and I never received anything from them stating that my lien was released on my title. I have called with no return call from them. I can not even find a location to contact. The number I did call was leave a voicemail or email no live person. I need the lien released to the *** as they should have done when it was paid off and never did. I need the title to my car.Business Response

I had a title loan through ******** title loan. I was making payments and the store closed. After they closed, we still had an account balance, but our account was moved to the ***********, ** location if I'm not mistaking, we continued making payments. Soon after starting conversation with the *********** location correspondences completely halted. The location closed and we hadn't received notice we tried tracking down where our title was, and we kept being told there's no account. Today 6/28/22 we got the correct number from our local courthouse and my girlfriend called them she stated her name and who she was, but I am the main applicant so the agent she spoke with asked her to verify MY social security number which is a breach of privacy. My girlfriend then gave my social and the agent then gave her account information. I called and spoke with the manager ****** who agreed that this was unacceptable but said nothing further. I asked ****** why we hadn't received anything from them letting us know who they were and that we'd be dealing with them from now on. She stated that they sent letters and emails to me about the change, so I asked her what email address they had on file for me she then stated that they didn't have an email on file for me. I then asked her when the last time was that they mailed anything out to me and she stated that it was august 27, 2021 and it was only a receipt for the last payment we were able to make before they took over. No one there contacted us about this change, they let the interest build up and this has caused a huge issue for me and my family. My social was verified by someone who is not me when the employee was already made aware that that person was not me.Business Response

I had so many problems when I got my title loan through these people, many times I'd pay cash and they would STILL hit my bank account. I had FINALLY closed the account, other than that. It was good! I even still recommend others! My mother took a good title up there, everyone signed for today, as they said they would give the money on the title. She is BUYING it from us, that's what the money is used for. They said YES, twice. They get everyone to sign. And see our names (I have filed a complaint before) and then decided she has to send off first. When in fact, you do NOT in ***********, many get loans to pay for the trucks! They had everyone sign, to change their mind after seeing our names. I really believe this, because before knowing they said YES. Then saw it, and said NO. As I stated I had a issue before in another department, but to do that to another person? They SHOULD do the loan as there is no reason not too, and they stated they WOULD until seeing who she was buying it from! They had my mom leave and come back TWICEEEE!!Business Response

This company has no customer service department that answers who provides a resolution. They make you leave messages or email with no answer but then won't extend the same courtesy. All they jave to do is EMAIL a copy of my title and they refuse to help. They need to email over my document and let me buy out. Refusing to let me buy out is not fair. The employees lie about the loan process and are always making excuses about why they cant help when mail and email are possibleBusiness Response

I obtained a loan from ********* auto title loan understanding the risk of these types of loans. I begin to fall behind on payments and was making what I could until I was able to figure something out. In that process the car had been repossessed. I was not notified with a right to cure ( explanation given to me by employee) the wrong address was on the account and when I called in they never updated it and that was before she worked there. So no accountability just an oh well. Nothing we can do its already been repossessed. I call and ask to see what my options are, employee informs me that I can pay $2,500 and get the car back and continue to make payments on the remaining balance which I thought she said $4200 but later on was told that was incorrect. I went to the location a few days later with a payment of $7,000. They asked me if I wanted my car back which seemed like a dumb questions. They refused to give me my car and told me I had to pay the remaining balance of $530 because they were not sure if they would get the money. I see this as either a straight out lie or misleading me the consumer on what needed to be done. The following day I went back and paid the remaining balance and stayed in the store until the lady confirmed I was able to get the car. During the process I was told by the company that repossessed the car that it had been sent to auction to be sold. I had to go to one place to get the belongings from the car which should have never been taken out of and also my plates. I get to the auction center another place and it is already marked up. I obtain the car and proceed home. I asked to speak to a manger a few times at the ********* auto title loans and was told its against company policy for me to speak to him he would have to call me. He never made an effort to call. I asked for a print out of all payments made and the balance to follow being I have no records or a way to look online. They refuse to provide any documentation.Business Response
