03/03/2023 I taken a title loan out on my vehicle for $3,900... within a years time frame I have given the company $15,000 dollars. Now they have taken my vehicle because they said I owe them a $1,000 dollars. My vehicle is worth $20,000 it is a 2017 Buick Encore SUV ****** miles. They are telling me I no longer have my vehicle. I'm sure this is not legal... I am a senior citizen I am sure I have been taken advantage of. Please help me to make sense of this matter... I no longer have transportation and cannot walk very far... I had several belonging in the vehicle they have taken. My medicine was in the vehicle along with grandkids items as well. My name is ******** *******. Im from ***********, **. I took out a car title loan in March of 2024. I was up to date on all my payments until I left ****** in May of 2024. I hadnt had a job until July of 2024. During my gap period of missed payments once I started my new job I brought myself current with payments, even doubling them. I recently made another payment this Saturday as well. I was advised verbally that I didnt have any repossessions active and my account was in good standing. However October 1, 2024 I woke up to **************************** of *********, ** repossessing my white 2014 ****** Sentra. I advised the two guys that I was up to date on my payments and they advised me that they had to get my vehicle anyway and it hadnt been updated in their system. 9 days ago our car was repossed due to a title loan because the old manager **** that we kept in contact with no longer is at the location and our car was in the shop we where in the process of moving. So alot of our things where in the car. Well my husband called and has on recording the lady telling him we had 14 days to get our stuff from the car. Well today we call and are told the car has now been moved over 9 hours away and that we have to drive all that way to get our belongings. We where called name hung up on and threatened if we called back trying to get answers. All because we recored the fact they lied and now they won't even tell us exactly where our things are. They are stealing our stuff and I can't get a returned phone call about this situation some of the things in that car are irreplaceable. And the branch manager is very unprofessional along with the girl working in the office. Texas Title and Payday Loans, operate under this people's umbrella. Unscruplous contracts to bait innocent, desperate citizens. Please have someone in the legal realm decipher that contract for you. They're now holding my title hostage, on an non- viable, illegal loan. My car was repossessed 2 weeks after I went to get my important belongings out and I see that they broke in side my car cause all of my doors were locked and I see that is was ramshacked my wallet with my cards was scattered everywhere with 200$ missing so I recorded to have proof and I look in the back seat its the same I have a piggy bank Im saving change for my baby its poured all out with all my silver change missing I tell them and they tell me that I have to take it up with the lender so I call them and they tell me that its been through 2 different towing yards and that I would have to call a number and make a complaint so I did and they said that they would help me and they will be giving me a call but still no call and thats been 2 weeks ago I have to call them and see if theyre still handling it so I just went and paid 1475 to get it out plus a 50$ money order they told me nothing about ok I paid it so when I get to get my car theyre telling me that itll have to be towed because theres no battery in it now Im more upset because my battery is missing and they saying thats how it came to them so its basically like they lender and the towers blaming each other for it I just want my car back how they took itBusiness Response
