      I went by the office and paid in cash on a loan to pay it off. I advised them that I was going to have another lender pay them by check, but then instead took out money and paid it off instead. So if a check comes don't cash it because I would like to pay cash. Paid it got stamped paperwork that day showing paid. Then 5 months later company is contacting me saying I didn't pay in cash and check they recieved from other lender never paid. I advised them that's because I paid in cash and told you not to cash them check or they would have been paid twice. Now they are calling me a liar and said I never paid cash. But I did they even sent me a overpayment refund for paying to much. *************** now First Franklin is the company. Have proof as well of paid in full. However they now are hurting my credit and saying I still owe when I do not. Also filed complaint with Consumer Financial *****************.

      I am writing in reference to a 1st Franklin Financial account reportedly opened on January 16, 2024, under account number ************. I did not open or authorize this account.I am a victim of identity theft. I only became aware of this account recently when reviewing my credit report. I have no prior dealings with 1st Franklin Financial, and this entry is unauthorized.I have submitted a complaint to *****************, and Ive included that report, along with a copy of my identification and the section of my credit report containing the disputed item.Please take immediate steps to investigate and remove this fraudulent entry from my credit record.

      The financial institution claims I did not make payments 7 different months. When I only missed 3 payments. on 08/2024 , 09/2024 , and 10/2024. It is hurting my credit report. I settled my debts and got caught up and closed the account. I would like the late payments removed from my report so I can confidently use this company again or refer friends.

      Dear Better Business Bureau,I am submitting this complaint regarding a loan I obtained through First Franklin whose lending practices I believe to be unfair, predatory, and potentially designed to trap borrowers in long-term debt.I have had this loan for an unusually long period of time, and despite consistent payments including numerous late fees I have seen very little progress in paying down the principal. The interest on the loan is extraordinarily high, and each time I was at risk of falling behind or did fall behind, the company offered to renew or refinance the loan. However, these renewals came with even higher interest rates and additional fees, worsening my financial position rather than helping resolve the debt.I now feel completely trapped in a loan cycle where the balance never seems to decrease, even though I have made substantial payments over time. I have never had a loan that functioned in this manner, and it closely resembles a payday loan model structured not to support repayment, but to prolong indebtedness.Additionally, the cost of late fees and renewals appears to be disproportionately high, further contributing to my inability to pay off the loan. I strongly believe this loan is being serviced under terms that are exploitative and misaligned with ethical lending standards.I am asking the Better Business Bureau to assist in:Investigating the companys lending practices and interest structure.Facilitating a resolution that results in fair and transparent repayment terms.Ensuring this company is held accountable if it is found to be engaging in deceptive or abusive financial practices.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope the BBB can help bring about a resolution and shed light on a lending model that I believe is harming consumers like myself.

      Franklin Financial sent a cashable loan $3500 check (33% annual interest) in my husbands name to our address, which was not requested. We have never heard of this institution or sought their services. This is one of the most unconscionable and irresponsible corporate practices we've witnessed. Their business practice exposes all those receiving checks to fraud and identity theft. When we called to have my husband's name removed from their mailing list, the customer service agent hung up on him. This is absolutely inappropriate and the company should be investigated.

      I paid a delinquent loan in full on March 20th 2025. Then i got court documents filed against me for non payment even tho I paid the ******* in full. The manager ******* ********** will not retun my phone calls or messages. Please resolve this asap

      I do not have access to 1st Franklin Financial monthly statements which means I cannot determine the status of my account. I tried accessing the 1st Franklin website at ******************************** but my account status/statements have been available for over six months. The website just displays a message saying "We are unable to display a copy of your statement at this time. Please visit or call your local branch at ************** for a copy of your statement." When trying to phone them at the number given, a prerecorded message says they are closed, even though I phone during their normal business hours. I phoned the local branch in *****, ** and they will only give me the current balance (which I believe to be incorrect) and says I have to request a statement from the office at ********************************************

      I am rejecting this response because:

        The problem in my complaint has not been resolved. I still cannot access my monthly statement from the 1st Franklin website (********************************) nor does 1st Franklin mail me a monthly statement. I have attached two screenshots from the 1st Franklin website that clearly shows my monthly statement is still not available and when I did a search for my statements for the period of 1/24/2024 - 4/23/2025, the search results only include two statements from 10/29/2024 and 10/13/2024 and only one of these two statements will open so I can view it. I am not aware of any other money lending companies that does not give their customers a monthly statement so the consumer know their account status at any given time. Where is the customer service? I have to phone the local 1st Franklin branch office to get my account balance but their unable to provide me a statement. I set this account up with automatic payments so I would never miss a payment but I'm not given a monthly statement for my records. Why is this so difficult to provide monthly statements to customers?

      1st Franklin Finance has reported to my credit that I did not make 3 payments from September to December of 2024, however, these payments were confirmed to be made on time. When I asked why, they stated the new system for taking payments was why the reporting was incorrect and it would be corrected. I have called multiple times and left messages, without resolution.
