Beware of this company. I was mislead in regards to contract terms. I was told no penalty for early cancellation. As it turns out they only offer 12 month contracts with an early termination fee which is almost $600 in my case. In trying to resolve the matter I have not been able to speak with anyone in the corporate office. I am now being harassed by their collections department who tells me the contract continues until I pay the fee. There are plenty of legitimate trainers out there. Steer clear of these wolves.

I think I was scamed. I was told I could cancel my contact at anytime by my personal trainer and after I finish my section that I paid for and cancle my contact, but they will not cancel my contact and want me to continue pay them. I have had no more sections by them. I fill this company busniess is not legal and need to be looked into.

***** doesnt even begin to describe. They provide personal trainers through Golds gym but despite saying you only want 3 months the rope you into a 12 month agreement that can only be cancelled via certified Mail with awful instructions for doing so and there is no phone number to talk with a person so the responses are vague at best. In addition my wife was sexually harassed by the man who got her to sign up and they dont care. They want us to pay an additional 583 dollars even though we already paid the last month. These people are criminals and should put in jail.

This company is a scam. I signed my contract on a credit card pad where I couldnt read it in its entirety. I asked the training manager (*****) if I could cancel after at any time he told me yes before signing. After 2weeks I asked to cancel and he told me its nothing I could do I would have to email the company. I contacted them on the website he gave me and didnt hear anything back after messaging them several times. I finally got a reply back 2 months later. They told me I needed a doctors letter to cancel. I proved that and they are still denying me asking for more details of my health condition and a timeframe. These people are scams! Plus my trainer left and in the beginning I told them I am only comfortable with female trainers. They still are trying to book me with males.

They lie & use manipulative tactics to get clients. During my consultation I told the manager that I needed some time to talk it over with my financial advisor first. They then offered me a discount but said I could only get it if I signed a 1 year contract right then & ********* could cancel later if needed. I shouldnt have fallen for it but I felt pressured. During my contract, the Lighthouse employee turnover was so high that I was switched between 3 different trainers & the training manager changed 3x. The trainers are helpful, but I found out LH barely pays them anything out of what clients pay for sessions. To make matters worse, I was unemployed for a while & needed to cancel my contract but theres no customer service. You cant call any corporate number. You just have to send an email & MAYBE get a response. Canceling is not as easy as they make it out to be. I never heard back, so I called their billing department & spoke to someone who said that they wouldnt cancel but I could call back & make a payment arrangement whenever I got a job. Id have to pay some late fees but theyd work with me to catch things up.Fast forward to months later & I finally get my very first paycheck in 4 *************************** charged my account $600 in fees on my first pay day. So much for making a payment arrangement. On the same day, my grandma passed away so I needed the $ to take an emergency trip. I sent an email explaining my situation to see if I could get some of the money back & set up a payment arrangement for the rest. The response went something likeyou owe us late fees so we can charge whatever we want whenever we want. ***** for you. They didnt care. There was no Sorry for your loss, but theres nothing we can do at his time. This was the first money I had after 4 months of being unemployed, so you can imagine how much I needed that money. This company is only out for themselves. They do whatever they want. They dont care about their clients or trainers.

Worst experience ever. You have to sign this 12 month agreement, if you arent able to fulfill the entirety of the agreement its an extra $500 charge. Before signing I had explain to my trainer I wouldnt be able to fulfill the 12 months due to upcoming events ******* military training, going to California for 1 month, & then being on orders again for 2 months for advance training) they charged me $200 per month so why would I want to pay that when Id be gone for 4 months. I explained this whole situation to the trainer who was signing me up and he ASSURED me Id Just need to get write a letter in order to cancel. Time comes around and NOPE I was also told I needed a 30 day notice by corporate which I had basically given 4 months in advance notice and they would not work with me, continued charging me & had the worst costumer service

This was a terrible experience and I encourage anyone who wants to sign up with Lighthouse Fitness to hear my story. I requested early cancellation of my contract with Lighthouse Fitness due to medical emergencies with my family. I emailed Lighthouse Fitness through their website and had conversations with their contracted call center over the past month. I have not been able to talk to a single member of management and my initial request for early termination has been denied and will not be back dated. I have provided dates and proof of documentation, but have not been able to get out of the contract. I dont know if I didnt say the correct wording or statements in my emails, but I was never treated like a person through this process. I am shocked that a company is allowed to treat paying customers with such little regard.

This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a gym. I signed up with Lighthouse. Fitness to be able to have a trainer. After I paid and did everything the trainer never got in contact with me. Ill texted several times. Finally got somebody to get in contact with me and told me the trainer had gone on vacation. Got set up with a separate met with him once. Set up another time to meet with him and then at 8:30 on a Saturday night he set up a new time for me that I couldnt make. The text went back-and-forth until 9 oclock at night with him, making a comment that he felt obligated to meet with me since that was the time he said he would. When I tried to explain to corporate, this was not something that was working, considering the trainers were not doing what they were supposed to do and it had been a complete battle the entire time, they had zero interest in helping me. Now theyre charging me upwards of $500 to get this taken care of and refused to cancel my membership so the total cost is going to be $1440. This is a complete scam the trainer I met with did not say anything about passing me onto another trainer until I signed all the paperwork. It has been a really bad experience and now theyre refusing to cancel my membership.

Giving this business a B is way too generous. They should be shut down as one of the biggest scams ever. After fulfilling the terms of our contract, I sent a cancellation notice as per this company's instructions. I sent it return receipt requested so I'd know someone received it. Two months after the supposed termination date, they charged us for those 2 months and show no signs of stopping. There is no real contact information other than the address they give to send the cancellation. We have spoken to the trainers at the gym and they are less than forthcoming with any type of contact info. The gym, itself claims Litehouse is a separate entity that they have no control over. Well here's the 411 on that, they are scamming people out of YOUR business. Apparently, these places operate out of gyms across the country, ours here in *********** at Gold's Gym. If you want to join the gym, go ahead, but stay far away from anyone offering a free workout and anyone associated with Litehouse Fitness. Bottom line, they are crooks. Our next course of business is getting a lawyer. BBB, you should be ashamed too. B? One star because I have to.
