My flight 4 ******** to *** that was scheduled to leave at 9:20 p.m. on 9/23/23 was cancelled. I received absolutely no notification that this flight was cancelled. I waited over 8 hours at the airport, only to find out around 8:45 pm that the flight was cancelled. There was no notification on the flight arrival/departure boards, no announcement at the gate, and no notification on the flight screen at the gate counter. This is extreme negligence on the part of Hawaiian Airlines and ridiculously awful customer service. Never have I been to an airport where cancelled flights were not announced on the arrival/departure boards. Hawaiian representatives told me "Oh, that information is not correct. You should have received an email." This leads me back to my issue about negligence/poor customer service. Email is not the only way to communicate with customers about flight delays and cancellations. Many customers do not even use email. This is why there are arrival/departure boards and intercom systems for announcements.

we booked 3 flights for 1/2024 and of course it involved staying in Maui. i called to cancel and they would not refund my money. the customer service people cannot speak or understand english very well and i got the total runaround. they are horrible to deal with and because of the time constraint i am sure i will be out the money. it is a sad state of affairs when airlines steal your money. don't book with these guys unless you see a refundable ticket.

Worst customer service I have experienced in my life so far. Will never fly with them again. I was literally 2min late to the gate and reach at 9:47am for a 10am flight and they would not allow me to board. Then they refused to let me get on the next flight at 11am saying they can't help me because I booked through priceline. I stood their for 1hr trying to get a hold of priceline customer service to get on next flight and kept on begging them to let me board as there were plenty of seats available but they refused to help me. When I asked questions out of frustration the customer service representative walked away from me saying she was done wasting her time with me. Once I started crying and followed her to the next gate then she said maybe I will help you. She made me stand around until she was ready to help me and then put me on the 6pm flight. Meaning all along she could have gotten me on the 11am flight but wouldn't. She was simply abusing her power and showing off her ego and attitude all along to try to teach me a ****** for being late. I have never seen a customer service manager behave so rudely with a paying customer. I was in shock the whole time.

I was an employee and was mistreated because of my race. I was fired without reason. I experienced bullying at *** Hawaiian airlines. Management believed lies that co workers said about me with no proof or documentation. I was ignored with my complaints and not tAken seriously by HR. The manager **** is very rude and also a racist. Very unprofessional

Absolutely horrible customer service. I have called seven times now just to be held on the line while they were attempting to help me fix a typo in a passenger name. Mind you a very minor typo. Theyre charging me $25 for the correction and they keep hanging up on me after an hour has passed. They do not call me back and I have to call back multiple times. The issue has still not been resolved and our trip is coming up. They have been rude and very unprofessional. Every time I ask to speak to a supervisor they hang up on me.

Alert/ Warning DO NOT USE Hawaiian airlines. Me and my husband had a trip planned in October to go to Maui then to Kauai, due to the horrible, sad and devastating situation in Maui we are not able to go there . We decided to make our vacation just to Kauai and for same dates as original. We had opened Hawaiian's credit card in which one of the perks is to get a half off companion pass. When I went to rebook the tickets were double the price and they would not give us the half off companion pass saying we had already used in which we had not even traveled yet so not true. I spoke to a supervisor who gave me the worst customer service I have ever had with a ********************** who refused to help me in anyway at all. I asked she email me where they have a clause that tells customers that information in which she said they did not and continued to refuse to help. I will never use Hawaiian airlines again and am cancelling my credit card. Again do not use them as my review is 1 of many about how bad they are.

Warning: Hawaiian Airlines has the most horrible customer service- Booked a direct flight from Maui- *********. In late July-*** decides to choose the Maui- ********* airplanes to do their engine recall work. No emails or communicate was made to make other accommodations for the cancelled flights. Until this very day, there was no communication about the cancellations and attempt to make other accommodations for the dates of travel. We had to hear about the cancellations via television news. By this time, the cost of flights on other carriers were nearly double the price of what we paid. Their customer service in located in ***************- they weren't very accommodating and you could barely understand what they were saying because of their thick accent. Have had a couple of bad experiences with *** in the past and allowed them a 2nd chance. Seriously thinking about using another airline who's customer service is a 100% better. Also, we had purchased tickets for a venue and will just have to take a loss because *** was unable to accommodate.

DO NOT USE HAWAIIAN AIRLINES. See **************'s review below, I was on the same flight. As a corporate executive, the customer experience on the day of travel was the absolute worst experience. Zero plan, zero communication and zero regard for the customer. In addition the experience, not to mention the personal time and effort expended, to receive reconciliation and reimbursement for my cancelled flight after a 30+ hour airport stay was even worse. Zero response to emails, phone call confirmations with only partial payouts, online chats with long waits only to either drop or be informed that I need to reach out to someone else. Just utter ridiculousness I have never seen nor experience elsewhere in my life. I wish this experience on NO ONE. PLEASE CHOOSE AN ALTERNATE CARRIER.

I first called about my issue and created an incident report on February 1st 2023 regarding reimbursement for a cancelled flight. Since then, I have emailed and called customer service 15+ times regarding a resolution for this incident with no answer. The last time I reached out was one month ago, and I was told that the case would be reforwarded to the appropriate **********. I have not received any response since last month and my case has now been ongoing for 6 months without any resolution or real response. This is unbelievably ridiculous and I don't understand how any company or organization can handle a situation so poorly. I've already waited half a year patiently for someone just to respond to me. This organization's ****************** ********** serves no real purpose and acts as a scam.

For your own safety: STAY AWAY FROM HAWAIIAN AIRLINES We were held for 33 hours at *** for a technical problem with our Hawaiian Airlines plane. Hawaiian staff is trained to broadcast deceitful lies to protect the airlines from cost. Our plane was scheduled to leave at 10 AM. After various postponements due to maintenance issues with the Hawaiian Airlines aircraft they announced that we would depart at 1:45 AM the next day! The reason for the announcement of this departure time was to ensure that they do not have to pay for overnight stays at hotels for their passengers. Hawaiian Airlines had no intention of flying at 1:45 AM, not a single crew member or a pilot showed up for that announced departure time.At 4am a crew and pilots came and an hour later announced that the Hawaiian Airlines plane was still not in a flyable condition. The utmost deceitful lies were only matched by the sheer incompetence of the Hawaiian Airlines employees. At 10 AM the next day, the next days flight was scheduled to leave. Now two full load of planes (about 500 people) tried to check in for the 10am flight at the counter. Hawaiian staff was completely overwhelmed and incompetent in a most amazing way. They had absolutely no idea what was going on, and, much worse, there was nobody from Hawaiian management available to them to provide any guidance. The prior day plane left at 7pm the next day, 33 hours delayed! Compensation: No compensation was provided Conclusion Clearly, airlines which have no money to pay for competent employees are scary. It also means they have no money to pay for competent pilots and have to hire 3rd tier pilots. They have no money to keep them trained. They have no money to keep their planes serviced (as proven by our experience). Etc. It always works for a while, but at the end of the day, these are the airlines which crash. => for your own safety: STAY AWAY FROM HAWAIIAN AIRLINES
