Hello, I purchased Better Homes and Gardens products. With those products comes a rebate card for $6 back on each item. I mailed the cards in, a check was issued on June 12th and **** lost it. I called twice and was told the check was reissued yet I get a letter in the mailing stating the check was mailed on the original date of June 12th. So a new check was never issues. Ive been on holding for multiple hours trying to get this issue resolved. Ive been hung up on multiple times by this customer service department. This is ridiculous. I would like to have my check reissued as Im being told it is.Business Response

Our ********************* has confirmed the refund check for $30.00 has not cleared the bank. They have now sent a replacement check. Ms. ***** should allow up to three weeks for delivery.

THEY HAVE SENT MAGAZINES AND BOOK TO A PERSON NAMED "TER" ********. THERE IS NO ONE WITH THAT NAME LIVING AT OUR ADDRESS. MY WIFE CALLED THEM AT LEAST 3 TIMES. I continuously receive renewal notices when I have sent in a payment for a 2 year renewal. When I spoke to someone on the phone from ************************* they could not understand what I was explaining about my canceled check for a two year subscription. In addition, they were Asian and very hard to understand. They made no sense and seemed to not be able to add. I asked to speak to a Supervisor, and after a long hold on the phone, I was told there was no Supervisor available at that time. The refund of $25 promised by Representative s not what I have paid. I am requesting a $35 refund and no further correspondence from this magazine! Very, very frustrating!Business Response

A cancellation was requested on May 10, 2023, from this customer and refund check in the amount of $25.00 is being issued to the customer.
The customer will need to allow 2-3 weeks to receive the refund check.
We have removed this customer from our promotional mailings lists. This customer will need to allow ***** days for mailings to stop.

The previous payment made from the customer was processed on March 17, 2021. This offer was for two years for $30.00, and issues for this order were served from Winter 2020 issue to Fall 2022. The new order was placed on March 7, 2023 for two years. That order was cancelled and fully refunded, as requested by the customer. People mag. sent me issues, entirely unsolicited, last yr, and I sent them back with the note "Please return to sender". They ceased for a while, and sent them again starting perhaps a mo ago with a bill for $52.00. The first issue a mo ago I returned the invitation to subscribe with a note asking them to stop sending me these magazines, that I never ordered them, and it was annoying to have them keep coming. I no where on that invitation asked to subscribed, or agreed to anything, checked no boxes, only asked them to stop sending them. Then a bill (invoice) came a week or two ago.It is a horrible busyness practice annoying people this way, and causing me time to write. I do not want to get on the phone and argue with customer service, but have them on note not to bother anyone else like this, my request already returned to them by mail and not only ignored, but an invoice sent. I have as high a credit rating as can be had, and don't want their aggressive sales tactics to force me to pay lest my credit be lowered.Business Response

They keep sending magazine order flyers to my elderly mom with dementia. I have requested of them to remove my mom from their mailing list on more than one occasion, but she continues to receive the same solicitation letters. BottomLineBooks has instituted a business practice where they issue a communication to a past customer saying they have to opt out or will receive a book (I learned this from another customer). I am a past customer and I don't open every correspondence I get from this company, so I must have missed the opt out notice. I was shipped a book from this company that I did not order. I refused the shipment. I received invoices from the company and called the customer service number. I explained that I had sent the book back and did not take possession of it and was told I wouldn't be invoiced if that was the case. They shipped the book to me AGAIN, and again I refused it and sent it back via the postal service. I continue to receive invoices and am tired of all the work I have to do to undo a transaction that I never initiated.Business Response

I ordered and paid for a subscription to ******** ***************** It was actually a renewal of a previous subscription. The company never provided any magazines.
