      This company is terrible two lockouts in two days do to faulty equipment don't even drink anymore tried talking to two people they would not listen then they tell me they will unlock it but charge me 75 dollars then they send me to another person to do a refund and I get a lecture like I'm a child told it was my fault terrible people

      I showed up to an appointment on aug 3rd at 9 am to get my device calibrated to be in line with state requirements I paid 25$ to get my appointments switched to a day where they arrive before I have to work at 10 am their employee had not shown up yet at 9:30 half an hour after I was supposed to get there so I went to work. After work I call to reschedule my appointment. They say I missed my appointment because I didnt drive to another city to get the calibration done. They then locked me out of my car and charged me 45$ to unlock it for two hours to get to another appointment none of which they can promise theres an actual employee there to help me out if I dont make it in that two hours I have to tow my car there on my dime to get it unlocked. This seems predatory and untruthful on their part and I would like you to know about it

      Worst customer service I've ever experienced. To start off among the numerous issues this company has failed to follow through on, when I first initially reached out to Intoxalock about their services I was simply shopping for the best deal on the market I was pitched a one-month free service by Nate from Intoxalock in an attempt to lock me in as a customer. I caved in as the one-month free promotion was promised to be credited to my account and was promised good customer service. ********************** has failed on both promises, it has been two months since the device has been installed and the promotion hasn't been credited to my account even though my numerous calls to Intoxalock's customer service line, just the ignorant redirect to email support about my complaint. Their support email is just an automated inbox, still no results. Their device gave me a violation for not providing a breath sample when I wasn't anywhere near my car on lunch one day resulting in having no choice but to take a day off work, pay my service center to take it out of lockout and Intoxalock had the audacity to charge my account an additional fee for the lockout removal when the service center has already charged me for it. On top of all that, Intoxalock has failed to provide the certificate of installation to the **** It has been two months since installation, numerous calls and requests have been made to send in the certificate to the *** and still no results. By far the worst company I've ever had to deal with, their "Great customer service" is outsourced to India from what I've gathered, no one is willing to help, don't go through with their promises, and they treat you as a criminal syphoning money from you. ******* would've been a better choice.

      Have paid a grip of money for you to tell me that you have no solution to the fact that your device drains the battery. This gives me a violation despite doing everything within my power to cooperate so that I do not receive another violation. You are the one benefitting with the relationship with the state so you need to work on my behalf because I am paying you way too much, it's like being strangled. Additionally your representatives seem to think that it is their job to dictate to other grown adults instead of offering "Service." Customer. SERVICE.Your device sounds like a police siren which is triggering. It screams like this if I am two seconds too late to blowing in the device. Additionally if i don't do it exactly right it screams again. It is like a toddler except with no benefits and an increase of strain on all the stress chemicals. Should *** you for distress. Your representatives were not up front about what actually the effects would be and this cost me time and money. You need to come up witha solution that fixes the issue that you are telling the state - DESPITE me following the rules and paying you $125 monthly that tells what is true - that actually I am NOT in violation.If you continue to charge me for this while offering no solution there will be consequences. Period. Additionally was told that if i had a public defender all i had to do was send that info to the lady who did my intake and the initial fee would be waved. Didn't happen so you need to ensure that it does. Period.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Firstly, I want to express gratitude to Intoxalock for being in touch with me.  

      Well, to be clear, the BBB should have choices that are a little less binary than "accept" or "reject".  I am happy and thankful for the credit.  That is just.  That addresses the beginning fees that were supposed to have been waived, the installation fees.

      The remaining issue is that I made a decision to park my car in a location that I am not able to be at 24/7.  I spent a lot of time money and energy doing this based on the information from the Intoxalock representative.

      This means that because of the usage of battery juice by the camera and blowing device I need to have a maintainer on the car.  But I am not able to be there to start the car and it is parked in my elderly aunt's driveway.  The device requires so much force of air and tightness of lips that she is not able to start it.  It is very finicky, beeping and stopping halfway through for no real apparent reason.  She will do one time and it will register and do exactly the same the next time and it cuts her off beeping and screaming at her. 

      I made the decision to park it there based on the representative ****** recommendation that all I would need was just a battery charger to keep it charged.  This has proven to be inaccurate information as the two following representatives that I have spoken with as well as the kind person who called me to address the complaint have recognized.

      My understanding is that if the battery goes dead this can become a lockout, which can become a violation on my account.  I have budgeted 6 months to have this device which as you can see is not a small chunk of change.  That was why I made the agreement to go with Intoxalock was because it was sold to me as having no hitches, no drama.  As  you can see this is not exactly the case as new things keep coming up about the device and maintaining it.

      My goal was to have my license back within 6 months.  If ********************** registers the non drive of the car due to the design of the device that my aunt cannot blow into and not having had this information relegated to me in the initial stages this cost me my license as well as lockout fees and violation fees if there are any.  I want insurance that I will not be charged for those (a) and b) that something can be worked out between the state of Washington and Intoxalock that because I am indeed following the protocol and it was Intoxalocks improper client services that misinformed me of the capabilities of the device.  

      I would like Intoxalock to do this on my behalf as I have already spent more time than was appropriate on this as well as energy. 

      So that is what we need to find a solution for.  Then I will be satisfied with the company's response to my complaint.  

      If the maintainer holds until the next calibration date then there is not a problem.  But if it does not and counts as a lockout / and/or violation then there wasn't really a solution.

      When providing a sample be sure she is trying 3-2-3.  Meaning out for 3 beeps, in for 2 and out for 3.  The last two steps are really quick.  If you pause between your inhale and exhale, it will cause you to have to start over. So, out for 3,right back in and right back out.

      It is recommended to start the vehicle every other day or so if not driving regularly. If that is not an option, many will purchase a trickle charger so it maintains the battery power, which it sounds you have.  This should be sufficient while you are away.  If it were to go into a lockout, a power interruption lockout would not adversely affect your compliance check,which we have to do for Washington customers, prior to removal.  Intoxalock has agreed to waive any lockout charges if that were to occur, by calling the number below. 

      You will however, want to make arrangement for your recalibration if you will be out of town.  We are not allowed to extend those dates and would be a violation according to the *** guidelines if it were missed.

      Called intoxalock to finally get a court ordered device installed. At first they seemed very high priced, couldn't get me appt etc. I said i need to check around. The agent then made several changes to the fees, he said my entire first MONTHS FEE would be waived(I requested to pay monthly as I'm on fixed income) he misquoted the installation cost, the machine malfunctioned with an agent on the phone 30 minutes after leaving, which was messing ** in the first place, had to go to garage and get it reset. After all of this and the money i paid in advance that i want supposed to, they didn't refund it just applied a credit. Now after making sure everything was getting cleared up, they said by the way we know the agent quoted you monthly but that's not how we do it here,. I asked so are there any other charges besides the one every 2 weeks now totalling 57. Instead of the original price(which you don't know about until after device is installed and see a lease. They said that's it now just the 57. Every 2 weeks. Went to look at my account today and there's an additional 32. For lease set up.. so they are finding any way they can go keep placing additional charges above what type quoted, above any future remarks etc. They continue to keep taking more charges than was stated or agreed to. This is crazy no one can live like this. WHEN GETTING IT INSTALLED THE SUPERVISOR AID HE WAS REVIEWING THE CALL AND WOULD MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS DONE THE WAY THE ***** WAS GIVEN. we'll now that it's installed, nothing is going that way and I am just told that's not how we do it.

      Intoxalock has been falsely charging me for Roadside Assistance that I never requested or approved since 8/19/21. The charge has been $8 monthly for 11 months, amounting to $88 of unapproved and unresolved fees. I have contacted Intoxalock through both email and phone, and have been promised 4 times that the Roadside Assistance would be canceled and the fees dropped. I am still receiving calls, emails, and attempted charges claiming I owe them for continued fees, despite the fact they told me they would drop them. Once I became aware of these charges that I did not approve, I contacted them and received a written statement through email on 6/20/22 claiming they would address and resolve the issue. However, I am still receiving calls several times a week from ************** claiming I am in violation, and attempted charges are being made biweekly. I would like a full reimbursement of the $88 they charged me without my knowledge or approval, I would like the fees to actually be stopped, and I would like the calls to stop. I do not want to hear from this business again beyond their resolution of this issue.

      In order to keep my driving privileges, I complied with ************** law and had an ignition interlock installed in my car in March 2022. It was removed after 90 days of monitoring. When I first signed up for the ignition interlock, I was enrolled in a separate "Roadside Assistance" program without my knowledge. They have been charging $4 every other week for this assistance and did not turn it off when I had the device removed from my car. When I contacted Intoxalock ************** about the follow on charges after the device was removed, they indicated to me that I had to contact ******************************** to disenroll in a program i never signed up for.

      Was supposed to have this in my car for 90 days. I installed at the end of March so I have had it for 120+ days. They gave me faulty equipment causing the equipment to not catch my "blows" right and extending my 90 days each time. Right now I will have this for about 6 months and it will keep adding on since I have faulty equipment.
