Received 2 separate mailings from lease end regarding maturity date on a Jeep Grand Cherokee lease both claim this is our last attempt to contact you. Called them this morning and refused to give any personal information - used phone number on website to call to verify the ************** number in the mailings. Asked how they get addresses and lease information and claim it comes from Transunion and its marketing that I need to talk to asked to speak with someone in marketing and was transferred. Marketing representative claimed that Transunion sends out all of their mailers. Have contacted Transunion and was told they do not do any marketing mailings for any business they are only a credit reporting bureau. Have placed a fraud alert on my Credit Report. Strongly urge that the BBB remove them as they are obviously continuing with same practices and lies that I have seen in a similar complaint already listed on 8/22/2023 on your website.

      ******************,

Thank you for reaching out to share your experience with us regarding the mailings and information you received from **.

Lease End receives consumer information from web traffic, enrollments, and third-party data providers, including (but not limited to) Transunion, and we oversee mailings based on this information. We will ensure that your name is removed from our lists. If you'd like to opt out of credit offers from other companies, you can call 1-888-5-OPT-OUT.

We appreciate you giving us a chance to review and address your concerns, and apologize that our relationship with these third-party data providers was not initially explained to you clearly. A member of our team attempted to contact you this week; if you would like to discuss this in more detail, we invite you to give us a call back at the number they provided.

      Sincerely,

On January 24, ****, I inquired with Lease End regarding a lease refinancing offer. I noted that I had been looking at loan options and was interested to see what rate I could receive. I was initially told by their agent that I had qualified for a rate of 5.8% - 6.0% (which was ~20 bps lower than the rate I had received previously from another provider). However, she noted that if I submitted to a credit report, that rate would likely be even lower. When I received a follow up from another "agent" 45 minutes (once my report was validated and "analyzed") I was interested to learn that they didn't offer a rate in the 6.0% range ("we don't have anything that low, you should take that rate"). Instead, my top credit qualified me for a rate in the 8% range. It strikes me as patently unfair and predatory to use a loan rate that doesn't exist to induce someone to ding their credit score (presumably enhancing Lease End's leverage on the sale). I noted as much to the new agent, who understood my concern and would review the tapes and follow up immediately (because they were treating this "very seriously"). I never received that follow up so I called her back. She verified that my understanding of what had been said was captured on the tapes and had been escalated to her supervisor (again, because they were taking it very seriously). Never heard from them again. This is a very sketchy company with very limited interest in quality control, customer service or fair play. Very glad I found out before I signed any loan documentation. Avoid at all costs.

Following up several weeks after my conversation with the LeaseEnd team. They assured me that they would expeditiously process a request to have the credit inquiry removed from my report. I was a bit dubious this was even possible. Sure enough, I pulled my credit report and all of the inquiries they caused

This is a company completely without integrity. They will literally say whatever it takes to accomplish their immediate goals, without respect to veracity.

I've never leased a car in my life, yet I received two letters in two consecutive weeks from Lease End stating that this was the last attempt to contact me about the lease maturity date on my ****** and offering to loan me $89,000. Then today, I received a text message from a number with a local area code from a person calling himself **** from Lease End, stating that the company could help me buy out my lease. I had ignored the letters, but receiving unsolicited text messages is going too far. I called Lease End and explained my concerns. I was told that they would remove me from their marketing list, and that Transunion provided them with my information. I called Transunion, who confirmed that I don't have an automobile lease on my credit record, which I had already seen for myself. Additionally, I have had a freeze on my credit report for quite a while now. So I'm unable to figure out how Lease End got my name, address, and mobile phone number, unless they've been holding on to it for quite some time, since before I put a freeze on my credit.I intend to write to my representatives in Congress and begin a petition online to stop these kinds of marketing practices. It's terrible invasive and unfair. Why should I have to spend time putting a stop to unwanted, unsolicited marketing efforts? This should not be allowed.

      ************,

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us with your concerns.

Lease End receives consumer information from web traffic, enrollments, and third-party data providers, including (but not limited to) Transunion. There can be errors in the data they provide, including instances like yours where a lease was mistakenly reported. Unfortunately, we dont have control over the accuracy of the data these third-parties provide.

We and our partners work hard to abide by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and remain complaint with federal regulations. That being said, we regret any frustration or inconvenience this has caused you, and apologize for not communicating this full picture more clearly upon your initial inquiry.

We will ensure that your name was removed from our lists. If you'd like to opt out of credit offers from other companies, you can always call 1-888-5-OPT-OUT.

Received text from ************ claiming to be "****" with Lease End, telling me that my car lease is expiring. I have never leased a car in my life. I do not wish to receive fraudulent calls on my personal cell phone. All of our family phone numbers are on the "Do Not Call" list. That should also mean that no texts are allowed. This company needs to pay a fine for violating the do not call law and they need to stop sending fraudulent texts. They are supposed to check the Do Not Call list before making any solicitations.

I bought out my lease using Lease End and my title has not been processed by Lease End. I am being told that I need to have an out of state VIN inspection done by the **** ***. The car has a current **** title and will be retitled in ****. The *** will not conduct an inspection on an **** titled vehicle. **** Revised Code ******** identifies VIN inspections are only for vehicles with an out of state title. Lease End refuses to listen to this and wont release the title. My Lease End account dashboard confirms they have the title in hand. I cant get my vehicle registration until the title is processed. Forced me to check YES to an ambiguous "agree check" box and ran a hard inquiry on my credit without disclosing it to me.Did not seem nearly as knowledgeable as it claims on the website, in order to provide "expert services" in handling a lease, nor the fees legally involved.I am filling a complaint with the credit bureaus as well, but I would like to WARN EVERYONE to steer clear of this business because they flat-out lie about their services.

On 8/16/23 I received my first piece of marketing mail from Lease End for someone that does not live at my address. On this envelope is a typical commonly used sentence by scammers, This is our last attempt to contact you. On 8/22/23 - 6 days later - I received yet another piece of this same marketing mail from Lease End-again for the same person that does not live at my address-with the same words written on the envelope,This is our last attempt to contact you.It appears that the scammers at Lease End forgot that just 6 days earlier was their so called last attempt. On 8/22/23,I called Lease End.I explained to ****** that I received two pieces of marketing mail from Lease End in 6 days for someone that does not live at my address, and I wanted my address removed from marketing. She gave me a phone number to call to opt out. When I called that number, I was connected to the Consumer Credit Industry Opt In/Opt Out number. Then I called Lease End again.I talked to a man whose name I didnt write it down.I told him exactly what I told ************** told him when I called the number she gave me it was not to opt out of marketing mail from Lease End but in fact was the number for the credit reporting bureaus. This Lease End employee told me that Transunion sends out all the marketing mail for Lease End.He said I needed to contact Transunion, and there was nothing he could do to remove my address from receiving marketing mail. It is nothing short of a fabrication that Lease End claims they have no control over the marketing mail they send out. Using the phone number they gave me to opt out pertains only to offers of credit that are sent to me. It does NOT pertain to the person they are sending this mail to, who does not live at my address. So it does noting to stop this marketing mail coming to me from Lease End for someone that does not exist at my address. This is a typical scam operation, regardless of what Lease Ends BBB accreditation is or what their BBB rating is.

Thank you for taking the time to communicate your concerns and refund request.

Upon review of your profile, weve confirmed that your cars title was successfully issued in your name on May 2, 2023. We did not handle, nor charge you for, your cars registration. As such, your refund request is respectfully declined.

We regret any inconvenience or frustration this situation may have caused you, and invite you to reach out to your Lease End advisor if you have any further questions about your transaction.

On Jan 24th, I contacted Lease End to buy out the lease on my 2020 ***** CX5. The payoff amount was $17159. I also paid $699 for document prep charges, $1106.83 sales tax and $712 title/registration fees. After a $2000 down payment, $19943.08 was financed. Due to a dispute between Lease End and *************, the lease was paid off in the amount of $16,587.72 on Mar 14. I made 2 additional lease payments of $299.41 in Jan, and Feb. I have never received the difference back between the $16,587.72 and the $17, ****** that the bank, *** paid Lease End. I have contacted Lease End at least 6 or 7 times and spoken with numerous people who said they would check into it and called me back. No one has returned my calls to date. I have since bought a new car and the *** account has probably been closed, but I feel that Lease End owes me $571.53 because they only paid ***** Financial $16,587.72 instead of the $17,****** which is the amount I was charged to finance the car.

I recently purchased my car through them. They told me that I could call with any issues and that there would be no payment for February due to buying my car. The payment for Feb was taken out and when I tried to contact them for help no number works, no text and email works either. Then I have not received info to set up my new auto debit. NO help at all beyond supposedly helping me buy my car. Wouldn't use them again.
