This company makes it difficult to terminate their services its predatory. They have a 3 step process. Request a email to cancel, fill out the form and sign it, then upload it to a them. This is done as a way to stop people from terminating the program. It's not appropriate.

I was introduced to Malealuca by *************************. She explained to me the benefits of joining up and how it was $19 to join and could cancel anytime. I personally have extremely serious gastrointestinal illness and she told me that I should try their Gut Bundle products among many others. She told me verbatim that I could try these products for 90 days and if it didnt HEAL me, then I could get every cent returned with absolutely no questions asked. I explained my financial situation and how I was struggling to find employment, but I could try it and pay by credit card because if it truly didnt work, then I could at least return the money to my credit card. I had purchased $409 of these products trusting that I was told the truth. She continued to encourage me over those three months to continue and that I had nothing to worry about. When I realized after 90 days that what she promised had not worked, then I contacted Malealuca customer service but was told that because she didnt inform me that I would actually have to have kept every single canister to return, then I wasnt eligible for any refund at all!! Even though it clearly shows on their website that I have in fact purchased everything that I claimed regardless if I actually kept these containers or not. So now because of her misleading information and blatant lies, Im out of well over the $409 because I also purchased other products that I never would have if I would have known I couldnt get it back. Especially after explaining my financial situation. This woman doesnt care about anything but her money and trips shes trying to win. She has no regard for anyones actual health which is what she portrays to many people daily on her ******** page! And instead of her being punished, when I canceled my account because I will not benefit her lies further, the company told me that I couldnt apply again for 6 months regardless if I did like some of the other products sold. So Im the one punished!

On May 24, 2023 I requested the subscription to Melaleuca be cancelled via email. My email is ******************** I received an email confirming my request was received. In June, I did not get charged. On July 13th,2023 I was charged $82.46. I never received an order either even though I was charged.I called **************** they assured me someone would investigate and give me a call back. I never received a call back On August 4,2023 I was charged another $82.46 this time I called **************** very upset telling them they were supposed to resolve issue last month. **************** rep only wanted to get me off the phone stating it was not her department. I asked her to transfer me to the right department so I can resolve issue right then and there. She stated they were busy with other calls. I told her I would remain on line and she disconnected the call. This company continues to make unauthorized withdrawals from my account and I have tried to resolve it the best way I know how by communicating with them. They have put me negative in my checking account which has charged me $35 fees each time. The reason I cancelled was due to financial hardship and they are causing MORE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP on me and my family. Then they dont even send the order they charge me for!! I want it to STOP NOW! I will continue reporting them til issue is resolved. **************** Representatives are not helpful at all!!

In January I signed up for a membership to their Riverbend Ranch Beef subscription that was to begin in April. I canceled it online prior to the start of shipments. Nothing was shipped to me. In July I received a text stating that my subscription would be canceled. I called the number on the text and told them I had already canceled and was told I didn't need to do anything. When I woke up this morning there was a pending charge taking $127+ out of my account. I called to request refund and that they stop shipping. I was told there was nothing they could do because the package had already shipped. I have had health issues and been unable to work. That is the reason I canceled in the first place. Now, because of this charge I do not have funds to refill my medical prescriptions today. I have called and begged. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that I couldn't hold and wait because they had other customers to help. This company has no morals!!! What they have done is absolutely illegal by charging me without my consent.

This company will not let you cancel your subscription. They make it as hard as possible to cancel because they require you to print out a cancellation form, sign it, and send it back to them. I spoke to someone over the phone and she assured me that I would not be charged for my subscription this month because I wished to cancel. She told me I had until the end of the month to cancel and I just got home and filled out their letter that they require (which is absurd) and I see that they charged me again. I told them I didnt want a June order. This company is shameful and predatory!

      To Whom It May Concern:
We recently received a notice from your office regarding a concern expressed by Lora
Zimmerman. Based on her communication to the BBB, we understand Ms. ***********
complaint relates to a Backup Order and cancellation of her Melaleuca account. Thank you for
bringing this to our attention and providing us an opportunity to respond. We appreciate the
opportunity Ms. ********* gave us to do business with her and extend our apologies to her for
any inadvertent errors that may have prevented us from being more responsive to her inquiries
      regarding her account.
Ms. ********* enrolled with Melaleuca as a Member on January 30, 2022. As a Member, Ms.
********* committed to order a certain amount of product points from Melaleuca’s catalog
each month in return for a 30% to 50% discount on all products ordered and eligibility for
discounted services. By accepting the Terms and Conditions of Melaleuca’s Customer
Membership Agreement, Members like Ms. ********* agree to receive and pay for a Backup
Order in any month during which they do not order at least the amount of product points that
they committed to order. Members can select the products that will be included in any Backup
Order they might receive. If they make no such selection, any Backup Order they receive will
include a variety of products selected by Melaleuca. (Excerpts from the Terms and Conditions of
Melaleuca’s Customer Membership Agreement addressing Backup Orders are appended below
      for reference.)
According to our records, a Backup Order for Ms. ********* was processed on May 31, 2023,
because she did not meet her product order commitment as a Member for the month of May.
Payment for the Backup Order did not clear. Consequently, in June 2023, a late fee was
      processed for the owing balance.
Ms. ********* requested cancellation information on June 15, 2023. We note that we did not
cancel her account previously because we had not received a written cancellation notice from her
in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of our Customer Membership Agreement. Ms.
*********** signed the document June 26, 2023, and her account was cancelled June 27, 2023.
Ms. ********* was not charged for any product or orders for the month of June. (An excerpt
from the Terms and Conditions addressing cancellation is appended below for reference.)
As a gesture of goodwill, we have refunded the owing balance for the May Backup Order and
waived the late payment fee. As previously stated, her account was cancelled on June 27, 2023,
and, as such, she should not receive any more products or charges.
We wish Ms. ********* all the best. If she has any further questions, she may contact
Melaleuca’s Customer Service department at 208-534-3000.
      Sincerely,
      Wayne Billman
Vice President of Global Sales Planning and Operations
The Terms and Conditions of the Customer Membership Agreement include the following
      paragraphs:
The Backup Order Agreement: If I am enrolling as a Member, I agree to purchase products totaling at
least 35 Product Points each month (plus tax and shipping and handling). I authorize Melaleuca to ship
the designated Backup Order for any calendar month in which my product orders are less than 35 Product
Points. Melaleuca is under no obligation to ship any products not paid for.
Convenience Certificate Redemption: After I have been a Member for six months, I may select
Convenience Certificates as my Backup Order and may receive Convenience Certificates as otherwise
provided in this Agreement. If I do not redeem a Convenience Certificate within 24 months, my
Convenience Certificate may expire, as shown on the Convenience Certificate, or, if prohibited by
applicable law, be converted to credit on my account, subject to the terms of Paragraph 7 below.
Convenience Certificates may be redeemed for product or credit on account but may not be returned for
      cash except in certain states.

Ive been having issues with this company since Ive started a membership. The only reason why I did was , because of my personal trainer told me I could order my supplements online through their company. When I stop working with my personal trainer. I tried to cancel my membership on several occasions, and also talked to several different customers service agents about my membership. They told me different ways to cancel my subscription, but would constantly draft money out my bank account. When I told them that I no longer needed the products & wanted to cancel my subscription they would still draft money out my account for several months. I had to cancel my debit cards in order for them to stop taking my money. When I would ask for a refund they wouldnt refund me the full amount of my money.

Did you know they force you to buy things you didn't order? They charge you every month even if you didn't want any new products. Furthermore, if you don't sign in and specify which products you want, they'll choose random ones for you instead of at least choosing more of what you purchased in the past. My wife called twice and asked them to cancel our "subscription". They said you had to mail a printed letter! Instead of accepting our cancelation over the phone?! Then I called and said plenty of people don't have printers and they don't realize how inconsiderate and inconvenient that policy is. They said I can send an email (again, instead of simply verifying it's me over the phone and canceling). I asked if a new customer could sign up with them over the phone and they said yes! Lol. I sent that email last month to cancel and they just charged ** again. I'm disgusted with their customer service.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/09/2023

      To Whom It May Concern:
We recently received a notice from your office regarding a concern expressed by *******
******. Based on his communication to the BBB, we understand that his complaint relates to
Backup Orders and the cancellation of his wife’s account. Thank you for bringing this to our
attention and providing us an opportunity to respond. We appreciate the opportunity Ms. ******
gave us to do business with her and extend our apologies to her for any inadvertent errors that
may have prevented us from being more responsive to her inquiries regarding her account.
Ms. ****** enrolled with Melaleuca as a Member on November 23, 2022. As a Member, Ms.
****** committed to order a certain amount of product points from Melaleuca’s catalog each
month in return for a 30% to 50% discount on products ordered and eligibility for discounted
services. By accepting the Terms and Conditions of Melaleuca’s Customer Membership
Agreement, Members like Ms. ****** agree to receive and pay for a Backup Order in any
month during which they do not order at least the amount of product points that they committed
to order. Members can select the products that will be included in any Backup Order they might
receive. If they make no such selection, any Backup Order they receive will include a variety of
products selected by Melaleuca. (Excerpts from the Terms and Conditions of Melaleuca’s
Customer Membership Agreement addressing Backup Orders are appended below for reference.)
A Backup Order for Ms. ****** was processed on June 1, 2023, because she did not meet her
product order commitment as a Member for the month of May. As a gesture of goodwill, we
have issued a full refund for her May Backup Order, as well as the Backup Orders processed and
      shipped for April and March.
Ms. ****** first requested cancellation information on February 3, 2023, which Melaleuca
provided to her that same day. Ms. ****** asked for additional cancellation information on
March 13 and May 4. Melaleuca cancelled Ms. ******’s account on June 3, 2023. We note that
we did not cancel Ms. ******’s account previously because we had not received a written
cancellation notice from her in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of our Customer
Membership Agreement. (An excerpt from the Terms and Conditions addressing cancellation is
appended below for reference.) Her account is now cancelled and, as such, she should not
receive any more products, Backup Orders, or charges.
We wish Ms. ****** all the best. If she or Mr. ****** has any further questions, they may
contact Melaleuca’s Customer Service department at ************.
      Sincerely,
      ***** *******
Vice President of Global Sales Planning and Operations

Points. Melaleuca is under no obligation to ship any products not paid for.
Customer Membership Agreement: I may cancel this Agreement for any reason at any time by
completing and submitting a Member Benefits Cancellation Form
